Yeah the extra ground clearance will make a lot of difference now, no more worrying about damaging the under of the van on tracks! Hope you’re well mate?

Archie def approves mate, I definitely approve of then lift kit! So happy right now! Hopefully see you up there mate, I'll be heading Dundee way for a wedding in the week! Stay safe mate!
Looking good, even if we only heard Archie. Couple of points... wheel arches, hope the bump stops will keep the tyres away from them and I think you need to fit extended arches.
Had the van lifted a few weeks, even with standard bump stops the wheels/tyres don’t hit the arches… and no need for extended arches either as it’s all road legal! Archie will be back soon once we get to Scotland 🏴👍 regards

@@ollydogtravels9465 you get the extra lift, as standard van wheel and tire size is a 225/75/r16 and with the lift kit you can add bigger tires 245/75/r16 and with sumo springs give you about 5 inches of lift in total

Looking awesome 👌 so you could take on a safari if you wanted to. I wonder what Archie will think when his jump up into the van seems more difficult than it was 😮
Thank you, glad you like the upgrades to the van, we've had to buy a new step for me to get in and out, Archie is big enough to jump in and out now and loves it! Hope you're well?
Thank you, nothing illegal about the tyre, a lot of vans have ladders or carry glass panels on the sides of the van and that not illegal… as long as nothing comes past the wing mirror its legal 👍
It's actually an offence under the construction and use regs for tyres to stick out past the arches, mind you, getting pulled by a copper would be a real rarity given road policing current levels of available units (especially up here in the North east)
That's looking pretty damn awesome now buddy... 👍 Is Archie ok now? I've been on the road to Croatia and back over the last 3 weeks so I'm still on TH-cam info catchup 😊
Hi Have you had your speedometer recalibrated? How much your speed is off having fitted much larger wheels in diameter. How much your fuel consumption has gone up. How much of the ride comforts was compromised due this elevation. And finally is it really any benefit of this upgrade when not having a 4x4 option other than a nicer look? Thanks
The ride quality has improved with the better ground clearance and the fuel economy has gone down slightly… but that’s the trade off by having the lift and bigger wheels. The lift kit gives the front and back a lift at the same time 👍
@PackTheVanAndGo I'm busy with a boxer conversion right now and would also like a front lift. I maybe missed it did you buy the kit that lifts the rear springs...don't know if you showed that in your video. A 5inch which is like 120mm. I can only find a 40mm lift kit in South Africa.
You’re looking around £1500 for the lift kit and fitting is around £550 mate… such a better drive with the bigger suspension and tires… feel more comfy and stable now! Hope that helps 👍
All these mods you have done and im sure you know you are supposed to tell your insurance company of any non factory modifications you make and yes for those who dont know that really does include graphics of any kind, so I was wondering if it has put your premiums up much, if any

Sorry - don't understand. This lift and tyre carry-on is just an aesthetic. What off-road performance do you expect with an open-diff front wheel drive? - more especially if you have any significant load over the rear axle. It would be more useful if someone introduced a Limited slip front diff on these vehicles.
Put bigger wheels on my van , killed performance rolling circumference massively different , ended up having van chipped 130 to 170 , pulls lot better😅
All the same underneath trust buddy sick of people getting ripped off by these pros 😭😔 I mean no afence to u buddy just makes me mad I do van and 4x4 lifts most days
What a waste of time and money. The negative aspects of this type of modification are numerous, higher fuel consumption, poor road holding, unstable handling, vastly increased breaking distance, increased wear on wheel bearings, much higher road noise, reduced comfort, increased gearing puts heavy load on clutch and gearbox leading to early failure, tyres extending beyond the bodywork are illegal and may be a MOT fail. After all the modifications the rear beam axle is only raised slightly, ending up perhaps 6 to 7 inches above the road surface. A Relay/Boxer/Ducato van with FWD is not, and never will be, suitable for serious off road use.
They look pretty awesome mate. More off-road adventures ahead 🤩😎👍🏼
