- This is the full reveal of our lovingly built Peugeot Boxer Campervan, affectionately known as 'The Tripod'. A true example of what can be achieved if you are willing to invest blood, sweat & a few tears!!
Tamara & I purchased a 2019 Peugeot Boxer L2 H2 drain van in June 2022 & have spent the past 9 months turning it into our little travelling home on wheels - it is a true self build.
We can't wait to explore the length & breadth of the UK as well as further afield & hope to bring you all along.

Fantastic 'reveal' Adi. From a builder's van you should be soo soo proud of what you have both achieved. A high spec finished camper van that will hopefully give you many hours of safe travel to locations near and far xxx

Personally, with such a small van, I would not have opted for a fixed bed in order to create more daytime living space, of course at the inconvenience to have to make your bed each night.
The beauty of self build, make it to suit your own wishes.

Beautifully done you guys. Interior is lovely and that paint job is spectacular. I noticed you have the kettle, do you have a hob or do you use one you store away?
We use a store away double burner that runs on butane canisters 👍🏻 thanks mate
I want to build a boxer into a campervan ,reason we just driven one home from Malaga spain to Essex in 3 days , X Reg one never missed a beat 1860 mile 25 years old, so the boxer going to be the one, your van amazing 👍

Looks brilliant. What have you done with the corner space under the kitchen and how do you get access to it? Wanting to do the same kitchen layout but the corner seems to be difficult to access.

Because we don’t live in the van and because of the other storage we have created, it is an empty void unfortunately. It is almost impossible to access but it was one of the sacrifices for the layout we wanted to be honest.

Build looks really great! thanks to you I'm considering getting an Ikea 37cm deep kitchen unit for my build. Seems smart! but, how do you access the space under the kettle, or what do you store there? batteries? something that doesn't need access I guess
Hi, thanks for your comments. The space under the kettle stores our double burner and spare canisters. I took the side out of the unit that houses the sink and we store items that don’t need to be regularly accessed to utilise the space.

Thanks Matt. Absolutely not. For us it’s perfect. Fits in a normal parking space and not so big around the rural country roads.

Hey nice build! I'm also looking to use IKEA furniture to do my build, but I'm afraid it won't be sturdy enough. What has been your experience so far with those?

I'm 192cm tall, so i guess i wouldn't fit in that bed.
Unfortunately not. But since recording this I have built a bed extension so we sometimes sleep lengthways
