I played the whole game when I was younger but I don't remember much of it, and I don't remember this theme at all XD shows how much I was paying attention haha!

One game (Birth by Sleep) and then a mini-game (0.2) that could be considered prequels to the first one, then another two games, Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days, before Kingdom Hearts 2, and then RE:Coded and Dream Drop Distance before Kingdom Hearts 3, followed by Melody of Memory... and then four mobile games covering what led up to the Keyblade Wars and the journey of the main antagonist! Not to mention, lots of new and unique music to be found in each one.
This is my favourite interpretation of one of my favourite Shimomura tracks! Incredible job retaining so much of the orchestral detail and playing with great expression. Loved it! ❤
Hallow Bastion is so epic! I’ve always loved the time signature of this piece. Such a brilliant composition. Kingdom Hearts is my favorite game and has my favorite orchestral piece, Dearly Beloved, which makes me cry so easily! It’s so beautiful. I will definitely be listening to all your KH covers and I hope you do more! Thank you!!

I really like how you play it and how it sounds. In your live event for FFVI you had told that you’re a bit unsecure with your camera positions. But I like. For me they are good as they are. They don’t push themself in the foreground. They support your music and let me more enjoy them and be more relaxed. You’re doing a great job with the video too. I’m here to listen to the beautiful way you play the pieces. And also enjoy to see you play them like you shoot them. It’s relaxing. Thank you for your hard work.

Excellent rendition. Shimomura is one of the most underrated video game composers. That's my second favorite from the Field and Battle collection, after Musique pour la tristesse de Xion.
Yes I might get that one on the album too! Some of the arrangements are a little overdone for my personal taste but I'm kinda rolling with it and going a little bit wilder for this album XD
@@KaraComparetto I'm sure you'll do great as always! FWIW I think the place a lot of renditions go wrong is dragging the tempo, especially in the opening bars and the block chords that follow. I think it actually works better if played more straight.
So much happened at Hollow Bastion, though it’s been so long since I played that I only have vague recollections of it. This performance certainly stirred those memories though! I’m so glad you shared this, I have indeed been looking forward to it and it’s everything I hoped it would be. As an aside, mixing Passion with a classical piece is sure to prove to be quite an undertaking. Normally I would say it would be a mistake to even try, but having heard Tifa’s Nocturne I think maybe that won’t be an issue after all. I’ll be eagerly awaiting the full album!
I tried it with a little Bach well tempered clavier LOL i honestly think I could make it work, but the piece wasn't speaking to me so im gonna keep looking! thank you Philip!
My fave song from this game, really captures the final dungeon/ascending a tower vibe. I hope to one day learn some version of this on piano, would be so fun! I can also recommend FF6's Phantom Forest and FFX's Silence before the Storm. Probably very beneath your skill level, but I enjoy them.

Ooooh! What do you think of combining Passion with Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again from Phantom of the Opera? The only classical pieces I could think of were Moonlight Sonata and Fur Elise. I'm on a Beethoven kick I guess.
Moonlight was an option was an option because it’s in the same key! But I just am sick of it 🤣 not sure of the idea of combining it with a Broadway or pop song… though I imagine that would sound interesting! Totally different keys though, so would make it hard 😭 but yes I am considering Beethoven or Schubert!
