I love how the bass player is playing to get the Jameson sound. Well done! The teachers there are doing it right.
A gem..so glad that they are "updating" these songs. These are a part of my youth I use to hear many years ago on the radio..thank you all you talented musicians.
I'm getting addicted to watching these performances. I wonder why TH-cam waited a year to suggest these videos to me?
Me too, they’re really good.
Same. They are all really well done.
I couldn't agree more.
Me too😂
Because it isnt woke enough .... Go figure
These kids should be on the awards show to them how it’s done
Who needs American Idol? Great performance.
She *sang* that. Found all kinds of little embellishments to the melody and really made me believe it. What a great job.
The lead singer's voice is haunting. Her voice is wonderful. The keyboardists nailed it. These kids are all so impressive,
It’s augmented.
Sooo, your point is? Or is somebody jealous? @hardcoredoom5892
@@hardcoredoom5892 In what way is it augmented? I don't hear autotune.
The best cover of this song I've ever heard. A fantastic job. Jamie is out of this world.
I like this cover of this song because the background singers are easily heard and to hear the harmony with all three singers really stands out.
new mixing tech helps a lot over the old reel-to-reel analog recording tech
What I like the best in these performances is that the artists look like just natural people and not like overbred TikTok barbies.
They're so pretty, every single one of them.
this lead singer should get a record deal she's the top one in all these videos as far as potential here
The Chicago School of Rock has really been busy lately. They ought to go on tour with this fine group of young musicians. The vocalists are very strong and have a fine backup band.
This was a hit when *I* was a kid. I'm 68, now. Motown will live forever! 10 stars from me.
Absolutely amazing! This girl's lead vocal was perfect for this song. She has a very distinctive sound. Back up harmonies were also incredible! Great musicians. If I want to hear this song, this is the version I play!
What a great voice for this song..... the lead singer is amazing. Everyone was spot on.
Yes, the lead singer has a spectacular voice. Truly stunning. The backup singers are so very talented as well. Well done by all.
Jaime is sooo good 3:30 with this songs. There’s a haunting desperation in her voice that anyone who has been cheated on can recognize.
Excellent, I enjoyed this immensely! These kids are really talented.
They all seem to have this look of "we nailed this!" and rightfully so!
Magnificent, these kids are exceptional. The lead singer has a future in the music business!!
Those 3 girls are a rebirth of The Supremes . Dianna Ross would be pleased !! Well done kids !!
Jamie and the girls nailed it. These girls made this anthem theirs. Great job girls...
What a splendid performance! Congrats to you all.
This group of young adults never ceases to amaze me.
The School of Rock Allstar bands are incredible! The vocals here are simply amazing! Fantastic job❗❗❗
This particular lineup is the best ever. Please reunite them for another group of songs. Their covers are better than the originals. And they are KIDS! AMAZING!
Diana Ross was only 19 when this was released. 60s musicians were mostly just really talented kids.
I love these kids but better than the Supremes? I hope they aspire to that but cmon, Diana Ross and her girls are LEGEND!
@@Vetriot6971 I took that into consideration and stand by my statement
@@crosspikehomestead She turned 21 the following month of its release.
There is something so touching and authentic and wonderful in hearing talented teens perform these classics. They imbue them with new life and fresh emotion. This crew should get a recording contract right away.
Really wonderful, I don't know how to express my beautiful emotions that all these young guys give me with their music.
Jamie's lead vocals are beautiful!
Congratulations to all!
@@fonzysterman Yes very well put..
Most of the songs send chills up and down me, especially these
Nice rendition of this awesome classic. Kudos to School of Rock for teaching classic songs like this to their students; and, in so doing, warming the hearts of those of us who remember these hits from back in the day.
I second this!
The School of Rock bands are absolutely FABULOUS! This is my favorite band......besides the instrumentals, the vocals are simply FANTASTIC! KEEP IT UP GUYS!
that's quite the wall of sound from that petite lead singer
They're not the Supremes, but they've done this song justice
I don't think it's possible to sing the backing vocals without raising your hand whenever you say the word "Stop" in this song. I've seen hundreds of covers and they all did it. These young ladies are no exception! Well done, kids, all of you.
My three favorite vocalist you Greta Jamie and Madeline. I can believe they can see any song.
Wonderful performance overall! Lead vocal is a standout.
This particular group if kids are just amazingly talented. The lead singer nailed the soulfullness needed for this and the backing singers nailed the harmonies. On a song like this rhe vocals are more the star, but the kids on the instruments were impressive ( most of them were on the all star version of Carry On Wayward Son, and man did they nail it, the big kid on guitar and the girl in the tweed skirt shredded it. Vocal were fab too, greta was on lead).
Glad they have the kids play classics like this. Holland, Holland and Dozier, the guys who wrote this&a ton of other Motown hits IMO rivaled Brian Wilson or Lennon/McCartney in brilliance.
Madeline is my all time fave. Greta is close second. As a singer, I don't see how Jamie gets such power without opening her mouth very much. Very very impressive!
I love this lead singers voice and think that she sounds better than Diana Ross on this song. The backup singers are great and all the rest of the band. You guys killed on this one!
great job everyone
Once again SOR kills with amazing female vocals, especially the girl singing lead.
This is the best SOR video since the days of Livia, Lauren and Rebecca. Hope to add Jamie to this list, in the near future
Excellent! Good to see the next generation learning the canon.
The mix on the lead vocalist is a little light. The band is like an unstoppable consistent train. Great job all around. 👍
Jamie, Jamie... What can I say? I love your voice! Awesome. And the band and backup singers. Perfection!
Thank you so much 😊
❤Outstanding!
I’m just so impressed with School of Rock . Another great cover from these young people who weren’t even born when this song was out.
I am totally blown away by the talent presented here. This is an awesome rendition.
I just cannot believe how talented all of you are don't ever give up on your dreams.
Wasn't prepared this time…tears. This intro was a defining moment in music history.
School of rock, school of brilliant singers and band members, this group is fantastic together, just love these talented young people singing these old songs. Absolutely brilliant.
Great cover, all the singers were amazing. The band was tight too
Great cover!
Outstanding vocals and all were perfect....lead vocalist has a special voice.... should check out, another group of kids from School of Rock...Austin. TX. Covering" Midnight Train to Georgia"....lead singer killed it...what a voice!!!! All these kids are so talented...OMG!!!!!
Lead singer is capturing, great job
I'm glad the ''New School'' of artist pay homage to the ''Old School''! I've seen it a lot and it's really great. From these talented young people to established artists. Thank you all!
The School of Rock just amazing young Artist, our Music in the coming years will be the best yet.
You all are awesome!! Great job, men and ladies!
School of Rock really gives a second live to beautiful songs, WoW
The singers are just killing it! God, they are sooooo good! The band is tight as well. Looking forward to another video from these kids.
Lead singer's voice is perfect for this song. My favorite guitarist is here too with the pig tails.
What a fabulous job on a beautiful song. One of my favorites.
A winning performance all around - the joy of music exhibited by these fine young artists. 🥇🎶🎙
What a talented bunch and a shout out to whomever did their wardrobe and hair. Couldn’t be more perfect. San Diego sends love ❤️
Wow ! I love Jamie here ! 👏👏👏
Thank you 😊
Great vocals. Lead singer knocks me out. Thanks.
Great job, all! Well done!!
These musicians are INCREDIBLE!!!!!
I love that the school of rock brings these back to life!! Maybe there will be remakes again!!!
SOR videos are my new favorite things, this one is the best
I grew up in the 60's and 70's, and really got into CCR, Marshall Tucker, Skynyrd, Allmans, and Charlie Daniels. But I always had a soft spot for the Motown sound during that time...Supremes, Four Tops, Temptations...these kids did the Motown sound justice.
Awesome! I was 14 when that song was released in the 60's.
This version is right up there with The Supremes magnificent original! Fabulous and feelingful lead vocal, fine background vocals, great dynamic instrumentation, stupendous!!!
To be sure I checked the original, it was great, but this one is from another world! Astounding. I wonder if kids do arrangements all alone or teachers help them, but the result is incredible.
Fantastic.
Greta is a really great singer! greetings from Germany
Good job. She’s good. I really like the guitar player in the checkered shorts. Beautiful 😻
An excellent rendition, one of the best.
😊 thank you all ❤ 👍 ..you ROCK
Okay, the lead singer has a fantastic voice!!!
Thank you 😊
Yes Mam’ Y’all did the darn thing👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
awesome , nice job by young talented students , keep it up please do more classics .
I absolutely love this! It’s a fantastic cover.
What a unique voice for the lead singer! Like to hear what else she sings the lead on.
Thank you so much 😊
Thanks for singing this classic as it was written. Even Flo's and Mary's backgrounds. Terrific.
Very nice indeed!
Thank you guys for rescuing this great classic by The Supremes!!! ❤
Great job!! Motown would be proud of you! It was important music for the time..
wonderful solo voice, very good all the musicians and also the other voices. The solo voice has something magical that makes you dream!
You kids are the best!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
this might be the best cover ive ever heard the school do. everything is on point. just well done.
Another superb performance. It was all good, especially the lead vocal.
Great performance! Look forward to watching more as they are released.
I was 14 when the supremes released this track and it lit a fire in my conscience.
Thank you for bringing back those memories so beautifully and a hint tear to my old eyes.
PS I like the hand gestures from the girls, nice attention to detail
Wow!! Nice job guys
A very solid version of a true classic; great job everyone.
My GOD!!!!..My GOD!!!. Uff...is just WONDERFULL!!!
This version of this song has blown me away. These kids have soul! Great effort here.
That was amazing! It’s one of my favorite old time classic songs and the entire group just nailed it. I’ve heard all three singers in other performances and they are all extremely talented, but the girl who sang lead in this particular song knocked it out of the park. Thank you for providing such a positive program for these up and coming artists.
What can you say amazing just amazing and more amazing perfection
Just brilliantly supreme -- nobody will ever do it better than you guys
Besides the talent, this vocal performance relies on great synchronicity between the lead and the 2 backups, with the main burden on the lead to blend the various vocal parts. She did fantastic.
great harmony. thanks for posting.
Beautiful performance by all. I like their minor hand choreography like the Supremes. I listen and always look see if I can find a mistake ( I’ve been playing pro for 56 yrs.) I can’t help it. I’m still waiting for Lynyrd Skynyrd or the Outlaws to make a blooper. I’m still waiting and no bloopers here either Excellent job all. If I was their guitar instructor / music director I’d be so proud of all these kids. I know how proud I was of ALL of my guitar students guitar and bass Thank you ladies and gentlemen.
This is as good as I have heard from these guys!!
