Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and I was informed that he has already completed a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was recently in Los Angeles, USA, working on new material of his that his fans (he affectionately calls us "darlings") are looking forward to. He is a kind, polite and compassionate person, proud of his culture and his country.

This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera called Starmania, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Grégory Lemarchal. 😂... It's like he stumps you that he's that great.😵💫 After Ave Maria and SOS, It's hard to imagine any more perfect music. That last note on Ave Maria is absolutely the most perfect note I've ever heard.

This concert was very reasonably priced. I think I heard someone say 10£ or $20 US. Dimash had to cancel concerts so created this to appease his Dears who were missing him badly.
SOS is one of the most difficult songs to sing because it not only covers 3.5 Octaves but the transitions from high to low are very abrupt. Dimash is the King of butter smooth transitions and it shows here. To add difficulty, he also switches from head voice to chest voice to mixed voice and back again all throughout the song. Very very impressive. Like a vocal Circe de Soleil.😅😏
The original song came from a very weird Cyber-Punk Opera written in the late 70's.😅😃

SOS was written before Dimash was born, but he absolutely owns it now.
There are several things that were wonderful to me, beyond the amazing performance, is the “ticket “ was very inexpensive, there was a Charity Partner, so part of the proceeds went to charity and we could view the concert repeatedly for a certain amount of time, maybe 10 days, I can’t remember. Then Dimash released a song here and there from the concert. Always enjoy your reactions guys ❤.

Dimash the best singer in the world. Dimash 👑
This song (not this performance) was the first that most of us dears heard of Dimash. He sang it in 2017 on a Chinese singing singing comp for professional singers. He was the youngest person on that show and the first from another country, Kazakhstan. He totally blew away that audience and there were 600 million hits on the Chinese you tube. I saw him pop up on you tube and have been enthralled ever since. So Dimash always sings this in concert.
Online concerts aren't anything new for Dimash because of the pandemic. He is one of the most generous artists out there and there are several of his concerts on his YT channel. (I recommend New York and Stranger-Almaty). This particular concert benefited Project Cure, with whom Dimash is an ambassador. They ship medical equipment around the world to countries in need and their mission continues today.
I recommend/suggest all the concerts in Dimash's channel,Astana Bastau concert 2017,Moscow concert 2019,Nur Sultan/Astana arnau concert 2019,New York Barclay Center arnau concert 2019,Kiev concert march 2020,and Almaty concert september 2022..And for the other many concerts of Dimash that unfortunately are not in Dimash's channel there are a lot of fancams for every concert..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

This was an absolutely outstanding concert - made doubly difficult for Dimash by the lack of an audience, I feel. (He says he needs their energy and emotional feedback, which was proved in his London concert: he was running a temperature beforehand, but said after the second or third song, he felt much better because the audience lifted him up. It was the best concert I’ve ever seen, btw!)

Its very impressive watch his way from the begging till now. Maybe to begin (if you want to, of course) you can watch Olimpico from Bastau, Sinful Passion, Screaming (MV or Idol hits) Samaltau (from the Tokio Jazz Festival) and some themes that are like little movies, like We are golden, The story of an sky and more and more... So love of tired swans, Passione, a magnificent trio with Lara Fabian and Aída Garifulina called Ti amo cosi, one of the best songs: Stranger (live)... is too much indeed!! “SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.

@Decade and Ocean Apart…. Dimash actually sang SOS to open the new season of I Am A Singer 2017. He also sang it a number of times in his early career so it is possible to hear the evolution of SOS ! The most recent is at the Emi Gala in Dubai.

This song was written by 2 musicians from province of Quebec, Canada for the rock opera "Starmania" (circa 1979). I am from there and remember how really popular it was and still is. Yes... I am that old...

You are correct, you were quickly corrected in the comments. Lol. He sings lots of covers as well as originals in his concerts. Dimash is pretty much perfection.....vocally.
He heard a young Frenchman sing the song (probably on TH-cam), Gregory Lemarchel, sadly Gregory died and his story went viral. Dimash started singing SOS in 2012, at least the first time i found a recording of him singing it. Great reaction guys!
Sorry but one thing that you wrote is not correct/is not true..Dimash doesn't sings a lot of covers in his concerts but just fews..The majority of the songs are songs compose for him or his own compositions..The Boss King Angel Dimash Forever

Not so. He is intently absorbing every microsecond of it - like a sponge - and is VERY impressed. Not every reactor has to bounce around in their chair and deliver exaggerated facial and body gestures to their camera. Indeed, you'll find that many of those are total Fakers, who have viewed dozens of other reactors responses, before doing their own 'Fake Firsts'!
