    Really helpful videos. These are part of the reason that I have been a Whole Latte Love customer for 15 years. My wife and I are on our fourth super automatic espresso machine. Started with a Syncrony Logic and went on to a Titanium, which we gave to my niece and her husband when we bought a Velasca (bullet-proof but now tired after nearly 20,000 brew cycles). Now a Cadorna Plus. All throughout we have purchased filters, descaling solution, and brew group deep cleaning kits from Whole Latte Love. I very much appreciate the phone advice as well. Just had my first shots from the Cadorna and my expectations are exceeded once again. Thanks for the technical support and thanks to the Gaggia folks for making the best ever coffee and espresso available in my kitchen. We are not big milk drink types but may just give it a try.

    This video saved my day. I just bought one of these through your website and the first five times I tried to prime the water circuit I got a number 5 maintenance required error. Looking it up, it was due to air in the water circuit. I followed your instructions for using the grease on the tank outlet and it worked the very next time and has been working since! Not only do I super appreciate that tip but it seems even more functional than just making it easier to pull the tank out. Excellent video and I’m so glad I bought this from your team.

    Great video! I just got my Cadorna Milk from WLL, excited! I did the water hardness strip and it turned 2 after a min but 3 after about 10 mins. Do I set the hardness level on the Cadorna based on the 2 level or 3 levels that I got much later?!
    Also I get a lot of water first from the milk spout before the milk comes out, making my drink watery.
    Also installed MAVEA filter in it. Thank you!

    Thanks this is helpful. Couple things:
    1. Warning, this does not cover the Prestige (nicest) model.
    2. Do you have an illustration or video showing exactly where and how much/little lubricant to put on the water inlet? I understand "inner diameter" but is better to see as well. I'd like to confirm, since the presenter's hand unfortunately blocks the view ;)

      Hi CS, Thanks for the question. Very little lube on the inlet - just a film with no globs.

    Any idea how the test strip squares correspond to actual numerical values with some kind of recognizable unit for water hardness?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi jr,
      Squares legend:
      They measure degrees of hardness
      0 squares red = 21dH
      Each degree of hardness = ~17.8ppm total dissolved solids
      ex. 10dH = 178ppm
      Hope that helps!

      @@Wholelattelovepage Are you kidding?! It totally helps, it solves my issue completely! Thank you very much! :)
      I made a silly mistake, I used the included strip on tap water *after* deciding to use bottled water in the machine. Based on the water hardness measuring gizmo I have the bottled stuff is 6x softer than the tap stuff, which measured at three red squares. Now I feel more confident about with my guess that the bottled water is one red square at most. Thanks again!

    Great Videos as always - Can you cover grind sizes in a little more detail? I would like to understand why its recommended to adjust the grind setting to the lowest settings. Typically, you never want to put anything on the lowest setting. I’m using the Lavazza Espresso Italiano blend bean in my new Cadorna. Also maybe go over the Gaggia Adapting system and how that works. I’m just trying to find the best settings and understand what these changes mean and how to pull that perfect shot. Its just seems odd to say move the grind setting to the finest setting and call it a day. Maybe you could do a side by side and compare the pucks/taste and coffee/espresso.

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi MT, Thanks for the kind comment and request. We advise starting at the finest grind setting as it's much easier to adjust coarser after beans are in the machine than it is to adjust finer. Also, espresso is generally better with the finer grind. If detecting bitterness in your espresso then back off to a coarser setting. The adapating system measures the power required to compress the coffee in the brew unit. Machine uses that information to adjust how much coffee is ground. So if the machine uses less power to compress the coffee it will grind a little more coffee next time. If it used more power to compress it grinds less coffee next time.

    Can you tell me if I should buy this or Delonghi Eletta Explore? I know the latter is more expensive but features are similar. If money was not a factor, which would you pick? Thanks in advance.

      Hi NP, I like the Cadorna a lot. The DEE has the cold foam option so if that interests you it's worth a look.

    Hi, I just got the Cadorna Prestige. I have noticed when I have my grind setting closer to fine, my regular coffee recipe tends to become watery. Do I need to constantly change my grind settings to course if I want regular coffee? Or do you have any recommendations on an in between grind setting?

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Van, That's odd as a finer grind generally produces a less watery brew. Any chance you're mistaking coarse for fine settings? Have you tried the Americano on the Cadorna? It's my go to for "regular" coffee. Many coffee lovers prefer the Americano for its purity of flavor. If not familiar, it's simply espresso with hot water added. It also gets you around changing grind size all the time if you switch between espresso beverages and larger regular coffees. Espresso generally wants a finer grind size and larger/longer coffee a coarser grind.

    Should the small basket filter have been left in place when using an activated filter? The instructions with the machine say it should be removed

    Water tank being difficult to pullout. Putting the food safe lubricant on the inner diameter of the water inlet does not work. actually it causes the machine to read an error code or the machine not to work or shut down because the grease blocks the water inlet.
    The sticking resistance to pull out the water tank is from two raised bumps on the bottom of the water tank that seat into 2 dimples in the bottom area of the machine under the tank.
    Put a small amount of the grease on the raised bumps and in the dimple area and the water tank will pull out more smoothly and with less resistance

    • @Wholelattelovepage
      @Wholelattelovepage  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Greg, Thanks for the tip! Lubricating those dimples could help as well. If getting an error code after lubricating the water connection you might have gone a little heavy with the application in that area.
