Imagine having Scotty for your Grandpa, one of the luckiest Guys on the planet, it must be fun. If you can dodge the flying beauty covers of course. Happy Christmas Scotty family. Thanks for all the 2024 fun and info.
If my Grandson did that to one of my vehicles he'd be there with me getting his hands dirty, counting screws and bolts, holding assemblies in place and then doing chores around the house for a while. But, I'd still let him drive it. Come on; it's fun.
Get that GRANDSON out there to do that repair, Scotty !!!! Have him do all the work, while you sit back, sip a cold one, and give him advice if he needs it. It would do the grandson good to let him get his hands dirty, for a change.
Probably afraid his grandson would break something else on the Polaris...or worse, his tools. Scotty is old school - "You want something done right, do it yourself."
Scotty i enjoy your videos BUT comparing apples and oranges does not work. Neither does comparing a Polaris off-road 4 wheeler with the 3 wheeler (and on-road) Slingshot! These are TWO DIFFERENT VEHICLES FOR TWO DIFFERENT USES. You did have one thing correct. -the Slingshot is over-priced!
You already know this but some of your viewers might not: The missing piece chipped out of the deck could be fixed by cutting a piece of sheet-plastic of the same polymer the deck is made from, solvent weld it in place, patch it with bondo and some Testor’s paint to match and the untrained eye won’t know the difference. Just some food for thought.
Scotty, I took my Subaru to a Subaru Subaru dealer to have my oil change. It was supposed to be $69 for an oil change and when I went to the cashier to pay my bill. It came to over $90 and I had said well why is it so high? She said well you had a tire rotation. I said I didn't order any tire rotation. They just did it without my permission. They took off $20 And they said they checked all fluids. I popped the hood. They didn't even fill the windshield washer. It was bone dry. I never go back I'm going to do my own oil change For now on
I agree with your feelings about the dealers. I was approaching my 100K timing belt change with my 2014 Honda Pilot. They quoted me over $4500 just for the belt and alternator! I went to a local garage that I knew was trustworthy, and they did the belt and alternator PLUS did what really needed to be done, changed the plugs and all the other service bulletin suggestions for the 100K work and it cost less than 2400 all in including an oil change and filters. My days at the dealer are over beyond the free state inspections they give me, but that too may be giving them access to the car to rip me off more, so I may just eat the cost of the inspections to avoid the headaches.
WTF did I just read? So you don't trust the dealer to repair your vehicle yet you'll trust them cause of the "free" inspection to take a look at your vehicle. Never have I seen such lunacy.
1. you needed an appointment for a Toyota recall inspection because the part had to be on hand at the dealer, if needed. 2. Obtained the appointment. Took money for breakfast and lunch, books to read, note pad and pen. Many hours later, a proposed listing of repairs. No, the inspection on the recall was not done because the part was not at the dealership. No problem. Drove 2 miles to my trusty mechanic and we both went under the car. The needed repairs were $1000 less than quoted. Had the repairs done. 2. Established another appointment. In and out in less than 15 minutes. Did not need the recall part replacement . . . or no inspection was done. I don't know. 3. At that time, the owner of the dealership lived 50 miles from the office. Makes you wonder.
I have a Trail Boss 325cc. My cousins in Newfoundland lost their nephew, riding on the back of a Polaris Scrambler 400cc. Went vertical up a hill, flipped backwards. The rider died. The bike landed on them and it broke his neck. Shame. Gravity never loses.
yep went to Goodyear and got an estimate for front struts for my son’s 97 Grand Prix GT and was quoted $2200😮 I guess they base the price on the oil inside the struts😅 obviously I passed
You're right on Tesla, my Model 3 rear bumper got creased in Wally World parking lot and now they want $6,375. dollars to fix it. Well I said thats too much money and Tesla said well if you want it fixed that's how much it is and I said well if that's the way you're going to act about it I'll just trade for a new Lexus RX350 and Tesla said fine because then I can't say anything about Tesla no more and I said well maybe you should treat your customers better and he said well good riddance and said you got that right PAL and he gave me the finger so I left and I'm at the Lexus dealership now.
I am surprised that these four wheelers don't require roll bars like tractors and other similar equipment. Our neighbor kid almost died as a result of one flipping over on top of him and he couldn't breathe. He was very small I'm guessing he was a passenger.
