I don't know if anyone else noticed but some of the Veteran Rangers have very hoarse-sounding voices, just like ghouls. If this is the case, this is canonically accurate because in FNV a lot of the Veteran Rangers are ghouls in-game and its evens stated that many of the ones that "were chasing ghosts in Baja" are ghouls. Yeah, those rounds are turning everything they meet inside that armour to red jelly. I pity whoever has to recover and clean those suits out after this fight.
The BOS are definitely able to take the NCR in a war they’ve been fighting each other for years at this point. This time the BOS loses next time they’ll win. @@stranger5675 It's the difference between Rome and Epirus. One side might have better tech, troops, and leaders, but those Romans (NCR) can replenish their numbers easy.
The BoS can't win protracted siege battles where the NCR can bring their numbers and resources to bear. Father Elias made a mistake trying to take and hold Helios.
For people surprised by the Super Mutant being with the NCR, after the fall of the Master. Many super mutants were left bereft of purpose and goal. Many did like Marcus and created their own independent community, others just wander the wastes aimlessly, Nightkins often gather together to find Stealthboys or have lost their minds altogether, like the one near Novac, in some instances, some super mutants find themselves integrating within the NCR. Generally speaking, Ghouls are at best tolerated by the NCR, super mutants, even less, so being in the army is pretty much their only options, though they'll be kept mostly on the frontiers, essentially, out of sight, out of mind, so it works out for both parties, mutants get a purpose and the population don't have to deal with them. The brass may not like having mutants in their ranks, but their value as shock troops or their lengthy experience in warfare is invaluable, so they'll give lip service about it, but will rarely do anything about it because they're too valuable, basically, typical politician move, say something, do the opposite. As for the Rangers, they are an independent branch of the NCR military, they can recruit whoever they want as long as they make the cut, Ghouls are often part of their ranks due to their experience before the Great War until this point and in some instances, Super Mutant can also make the cut, though it's usually the smarter ones that do, first gen, as 2nd gen aren't all that bright, they make for great shock troops but that's about it, kinda like the Ogryns from 40K.
Power Armor is good and all, But AP .50 Cal is like a fucking can opener to that thing, I bet that's what the Chinese Soldiers used to combat mechanized American Troops before the bombs fell.

@@KriegerChristi everything you see is absolutely made up to make the General or colonel or whatever look good but there's grains of truth to telling a lie about a real event.
About 18 years ago I studied playwrighting. One of the most interesting concepts is one that I only selectively remember, and it was something like the TPRR scene. This scene wasn't the climax of the play, but rather an earlier scene that sets up the climax as inevitable. It's an odd and not universal concept, but the classic example is that in Hamlet, if the climax is the play within the play and the massacre that follows, the TPRR scene is when Hamlet decides not to kill Claudius while the usurper is praying. To me, this is the TPRR scene of the battle of Helios 1. We all knew the outcome going into this, and so we knew what the deciding factor would be well before this video was made. And yet the sheer artistry of this series still makes it feel like a gut punch when we see helmet and duster clad NCR Rangers shoot a round through power armor like it's explosive fucking butter. We are so lucky to live in a time when fans can create art like this.
My headcanon of some of the characters: The first recon leader is likely Gorobets, the Major leading the NCR is either Knight or Royez before he was a colonel. Colonel Moore but I think it’s obvious. As for the Paladins, I think the skull one is Harding and the red strip is MacNamara.
love your animations my dude and I love seeing these animations! I love the atmosphere and the way you catch battle sequences. I'm also using the tension and feeling of your animations to help make battle feel more realistic in my story. Thank you dude!
Just a friendly reminder, the NCR Rangers, formelly knewed as the Desert Rangers, were just a group of survivor communities who occupied most of Nevada and Arizona after the bombs fell, due to Caesar's Legion, being significally outnumbered, they agreed to being annexed to the NCR nation. According to Tycho and his descriptions of the Desert Rangers in Fallout 1, they are nothing more than highly trained individuals in hand to hand and armed combat and survival skills.
"Those NCR Rangers really show what it means to be hardened by the wasteland. Their coordination and tactical experience are unmatched! Operation Sunburst and the NCR-Brotherhood War history in California showed just how well they could handle advanced tech opponents like the Brotherhood. With that deadly accuracy of the anti-materiel rifle and troopers providing cover fire to keep those flanks secure, the Brotherhood didn’t stand a chance. This was NCR’s finest proving that they could adapt, survive, and outlast any enemy in the Mojave." -Some NCR hardliners who don't accept the fate of NCR in fallout TV

Maybe, assumung the NCR put the same amount or quality of powder into their .30 cal rounds as in 7.62 NATO rounds. Not to mention you have to assume that kind of information comes from optimal condition tests, fall off would mean that after say. 100 yards at an oblec angle, T-51 would be able to withstand the 2500 Joules of energy from a .30 cal round, again assuming NCR ammunition has the same powder load as pre war rounds.
@@Wesley-1776 or it has to do with the fact that the writers have absolutely no concept of how armor works, since this would make *power armor* weaker than standard body armor, meaning its an utterly useless invention. "Oh good he can lift heavy weapons, shame he has to stand there in the open to use them where even a basic rifle with standard AP rounds can punch through it."
@@AngelDyne that’s fair enough. I stand by the fact that the 2500 joules thing can be hand waved away as “we took this shot at the absolute perfect conditions to ensure penetration.” But that was the weakest point of the armor at point blank with no angling at all. Considering the events in Fallout: New Vegas they choose the latter option but regardless the causalities would be bitter either way
The last thing that could help them is reinforcements coming but they would surely be rookies with T-45 armor that would be easily eliminated. They already lost
The Brotherhood has no choice. They must break out, and must do so now, or they will be destroyed.

@kamenmaximus possibly for centuries since ncr soldiers have ghouls and supers in their ranks!
It would put the fear of god in any Paladin to fight a man who has lived long enough to have shaken hands with the likes of Roger Maxson.
I imagine a pre war ghoul with US military experience that’s survived 200 years after the bombs dropped and is now a veteran ranger is just about the most deadly man in any situation
Im not saying you are wrong. But where does it say most Veteran Rangers are ghouls? In fact when I loot dead Rangers (That the legion killed) They are all human.

To the NCR Rangers, this is a unique training exercise

0:13 nice touch on the super mutant NCR trooper, in the game there was supposed to be a super mutant Ranger named chauncey stationed at foxtrot he has voice lines and everything you can put him back into the game through mods and console commands.
Also 1 or 2 of the rangers have voices that sound like a ghouls which makes sense in the game you see a ton of ghoul rangers like at ranger station echo hell the majority of veteran rangers tend to be ghouls. Neat reference to the lore on how parts of the NCR views super mutants and ghouls

One dude can make good Fallout movie and whole Bethesda x Moviemakers can't handle one good season of Serial.

The brotherhoods first mistake was thinking they could go to war with the NCR.
Their first mistake was not accepting more outsiders.
The BOS are definitely able to take the NCR in a war they’ve been fighting each other for years at this point. This time the BOS loses next time they’ll win. I love both of these factions because to me it’s a perfect example of quality vs quantity. I also like just how well the animation displays that.
@@stranger5675 It's the difference between Rome and Epirus. One side might have better tech, troops, and leaders, but those Romans (NCR) can replenish their numbers easy.

Don't have much but you deserve it.
Love how the red from his visor shine through the binoculars. You cam even see the red disappear as he pulls them away. Very nice touch
Power Armor is good and all, But AP .50 Cal is like a fucking can opener to that thing, I bet that's what the Chinese Soldiers used to combat mechanized American Troops before the bombs fell.

It's all fun and games until the desert ranger brings out an anti-material rifle

They also take ghouls as they have centuries of experience in warfare, and super mutants too. They are the best of the NCR.
The sound of that guy in power armor falling is so meaty.
This was NCR’s finest proving that they could adapt, survive, and outlast any enemy in the Mojave."

Awesome. Also a reminder that power armor can withstand up until 2500 joules. The M14 rifle would drop them too.
And under any realistic combat condition it would rarely if ever happen. Something something 7.62x54r can penetrate the side of an M113 technically speaking.
