- Police are verifying CCTV showing a police van following two people on an e-bike minutes before a fatal crash that sparked a riot in Cardiff.
The two teenage boys who died in a crash which sparked a riot in the Ely area of Cardiff have been named locally as 16-year-old Kyrees Sullivan and 15-year-old Harvey Evans.
Former Met Police detective Peter Bleksley: “Call me old fashioned, but I’d really like our police to reconnect with the notion of telling the truth.”

And police drivers who dangerously tailgate an electric bike with clear evidence of that offence on camera (even if it is being ridden illegally.) should also be prosecuted for a careless driving offence.
I think people need to get over this and let it go, I don’t hear the mashing of teeth about Starmer and his breach was a whole bunch worse.
Maybe if the Police had done their job as in the yesterdays ‘Highway Blockers’ the ‘Working Class’ would have been able to get to work⁉️had the Police not joined the Blockers and arrested the worker🤬
It's not the crime of the century, letting my sister die of NHS neglect was !!! It matters because he lied at the time, so he has committed the original offence and then lying about it, THAT IS THE CRIME.

They refer themselves to the Independent Office Of Police Complaints (IOPC) - note the word Independent. It is independent of the police, it is not the police and never is the police. If you think they are the police you are very gravely mistaken. The Police are held to account by this (the IOPC), other police forces, Corners Inquiry (totally independent of the police) and the Law Courts (totally independent of the police) and possibly a judicial review (completely independent of the police). How much more independence of the police do you want? Just because they reach conclusions that you don't agree with, does not make them "the police" or "the establishment".

And if you remember at the time, which most don't, Boris didn't want a lockdown, but was bullied into it by his ministers and bad science as all the rest of the World were being forced into it. Boris talked about herd immunity and didn't lock down straight away. Most people in their fervent hatred of the Con party and Boris conveniently forget this. Liebour and the other shower in Westminster would be no different to the Cons. In the end most did not comply, judging by the other fines issued, the witnessed non wearing of masks, the excuses for being out and even Starmer being caught out. I would like to see the Police reducing muggings , robberies, sexual assaults and child murders rather than spending our taxpayers cash on something that has passed nearly two years ago.

Absolutely spot on 100%. I was a beat walker my beat was West Kensington Queens Club area. If you had a beat officer in that area they could have stopped this behaviour and been a thorn in the side of youths intent to disrupt the community. Since David Blunket replaced officers with PCSO’s this behaviour has increased.Take a leaf out of Norfolk Constabulary and replace PCSO’s with warranted officers and get them on the beat.We did this for decades and it worked.

Inflation going down by that small amount will make no difference to the price of anything in the shops for the foreseeable future. They are just trying to gaslight people.

In the latest footage released, when you zoom in on TH-cam, the footage lies right out as the boys get towards the end of the road, so you cannot make out clearly which way they went, when the police van is seen following, you see the van as clear as day throughout. Why does it blur out on the boys but not the van. And no I’m not a conspiracy theorist. I just happened to zoom in the footage

They showed the footage of the 2 kids on the EV Bike racing down the street, then a Police van that followed at speed a few seconds later. If that is not the Police chasing that EV bike, then I dont know what is.
Where it becomes a problem from my point of view, is the Police have denied that they were chasing the EV bike?, hmm. It looked pretty obvious to me.
It does not matter who it is, what those 2 lads were like as a peoples, they are both dead and that in itself is not good, regardless.
If they were travelling at 28mph it would be an illegal e-bike and the police should have got involved. Hardly a chase at that speed.

more important crimes that need investigating : why grade A narcotics were found in parliament including in places only the PM could access.

I agree police need to be honest and to work with communities. I do need to fact check Peter on his rather rose colored spectacled view of policing how it was in his day though. Yes there were neighborhood officers, but the 80’s also saw some of the worst and widespread rioting, with lots of research on broken community relations with policing as being factors. (Eg. brixton,toxteth, handsworth). Also there were the very famous miscarriages of Justice during the period (e.g Birmingham 6, Guildford 4) . Therefore important not to harken back to some perfect policing golden age, pre-internet and full of apple scrumping and clips round the ear. It doesn’t help anyone and certainly isn’t accurate.

Agree with you. Also nobody is speaking about the destruction caused by the rioters to innocent people's property. Where is it ok to burn and destroy because 2 kids died, no matter that they made the decission to run away from the police and by that decission and THEIR subsequent actions they died.

We have seen it all the way round the country, police stealing electric scooters and bikes from little kids... leave them alone and go catch real criminals, like r8pists and murderers...
