If you commit a crime is it the police that handle your punishment? Nope. Like every other worker a Police officer receives their instructions from above and do what they are asked. If that happens to be policing a festival, a parade or a school fete then so be it. They would have been told to interact and show the LBTQ community that they are there for them and approachable. As for the communities falling apart with crime….. I’m from one. It’s people from the community doing crimes against the community? Where’s the community in that? When the police step in they get met with silence from the victims and bricks and bottles from the perpetrators. Wanna talk about deluded?

As someone of the age of both you guys. I do agree with Bleksley they should not be integrating with absolutely any political side the LGBTQ+ community is very highly swayed to a certain side. So the fact they are on public money spending time with a certain side should not be encouraged at all. I mean that in the most respectful way to everyone and I do not give a toss about your sexuality do what you want.
"Don't give a toss about your sexuality, but PLEASE OH PRETTY PLEASE don't side with the LGBTQ lot!!!!" Give over you bellend. I don't get why you guys pretend - you clearly DO have a problem with it. Just say so - everyone knows you're lying anyway!
They're not putting the phone down on a call about a murderers whereabouts to go and say hi at a march. It's a separate thing. If they were needed for something, they would go do it. Theres no problem at all. It doesnt matter
Firstly they're not spending public money to "spend time" with the LGBTQ+ community, like all big events and public gatherings they are there to keep the peace and would be there anyway, regardless of whether they were dancing and participating in the march. Secondly why are you conflating sexuality with the political compass? Pride is fundamentally about celebrating ones sexuality, it's not about pushing left wing or right wing politics. Sure LGBTQ+ are generally more liberal and left wing leaning, that's quite understandable given liberal and left wing politics have tended to be far more tolerant towards the LBGTQ+ community, however past elections and polling has revealed that a significant minority are right wing leaning (25% in 2015).
@@Felixwebstervideos No, I got it. I was just adding that its not a problem. But in terms of "picking a side", showing a basic amount of decency to people is not political.
I appreciate your stance but Peter's right, they need to be professional. I understand they are there to protect the event, but playing around doing things that could inhibit your ability to respond quickly isn't okay.
Considering once Peter himself on Shaun Atwood's pod corrected himself for using a dated term that could be seen as offensive to LGBT people a highly doubt he's homophobic. Plus with the "Poker no, Pornstar yes" comment, I think he's very open to mending fences with that callback to episode 2
Why didn't jack just message him privately? What sad people we have in this world where everything needs to go public on socials! Pathetic behaviour from a very fake man!
It's also worth taking into account that LGBTQ+ communities have been historically targeted by police, and so this integration and renewed support is doubly important.
No it isn’t. It’s absolutely ridiculous and turns the police into a joke. How on Earth this can be taken seriously is absolutely baffling. Not everything revolves around lbgtqabcdefg’s. It’s now them who are targeting everything else.
I was actually so proud of you for that, and imo you were absolutely right to respond publicly because I for one (as a queer woman who has trauma around police) was really relieved and thankful to know you are on the side of the people who are affected by the problems with the police and that you will publicly stand up for what you believe is right ❤
Absolutely! It’s incredibly dangerous to suggest people can voice their own negative opinions publicly, but shouldn’t be corrected publicly, the latter is much more important to be seen & heard
But the thing is Peter is correct, the Police are there to protect the public, the event. Not there to be a part of it, out of uniform of duty they can, but not while they're on duty and in uniform. The Police are meant to act as a unbiased, unpolitical body who enforce the law, protect the public from crime and danger. You ever heard of a neutral peacekeeper? Well the Police are that. They are meant to without favour or bias to any side keep the peace on the streets, keep groups from clashing with each other.

I think this is a classic case of someone taking banter too seriously and another not taking it seriously at all. I think Peter Bleksley legitimately doesn't think anything went wrong but is just having some banter back and forth, especially since Jaack had a go at him first, while Jaack is taking it more like "our friendship is over, I can't believe he's being mean to me". I've had so many old people dig at me in ways (especially guys) that people would find extremely offensive but wouldn't actually think that what they said could be deemed "friendship ending", so this feels the same way to me. The reason you tweeted him publicly was all for likes and attention, he classed you as a friend and you through him under the bus!! It just showed what type of person jaackmate is..

Yep. Jack acted like a school child, making something a scene to cause drama and subsequently bring in views & money. Odd behaviour for a so-called friend.
The reality of the police is, when they start catching criminals and stop doing tiktok dancing and stop acting like bully’s, that’s when the relationship with the public will change.
Protecting the people from violence on a pride march might involve them actually being involved in that community. Heels on for a laugh on tik tok is not practical but a bit of a boogie, sing and a smile can be stopped in a heartbeat where anything goes wrong and they can be back on duty arresting those causing violence. I completely agree with what you're saying Jack. I think you were right to tell him what other people are thinking on the other side of the argument.
What criminal is going to be afraid of police officers who dance on the street and wear high heels? The police are meant to demand respect, but if a criminal sees them as joyful dancers then they've lost any fear factor from criminals.
you should get Richard McCann on as i have found him to be so honest and forgiving about what has happed in his life from the age of 5. He will inspire my more people who struggle

Glad to see there's some people with some common sense in these comments. Weak reason to support gambling… some people would argue there’s method to playing roulette 😂 You’re taking the bag mate and that’s fine 👍🏼💰
There's a house advantage in roulette and blackjack, bookies apply margins in sports betting, no such thing exists in poker, you're playing against other people, with the same rules as you.

Secondly Peter Bleksley championed mental health on your podcast including your own and offered himself for support, yet you come at him on social media where a lot of mental health issues stem from.

I hate to break it to Jack but he might wanna check which country he lives in because I’m pretty sure it isn’t America
Too indoctrinated with the left wing nonsense for that
Yep. This is the problem with permanently online people, they import the problems of America and then act like we have had these problems all along its a joke. I hate our police force, they are pathetic, they obviously aren't racist or homophobic at all, they push BLM and pride all the time. They have diversity quotas and their social media's are full of virtue signalling.
The British police system is still pretty bad and even though it's happening in America it still effects British peoples perception of the police

completely valid, and the way you handled it was correct, as you had such a connection with him having had him on multiple times people may have thought that you shared these archaic views that he has surrounding this, but going public with the response was a good way to ensure to the viewers who trust you and the show that you do not share these opinions. well done.

Was just about to comment this. What is Jack on about?
Totally wrong - PB’s right. There’s a reason young people aren’t afraid of our police. There’s no deterrent against serious crime, it’s all about bridging gaps with the community while most of the communities are falling apart with crime. You are deluded.

The police are “meant” to be neutral, not supporting this or that, their there to do a job, not piss about.
What happens if something kicks off while the police are messing around. They are supposed to be watching the crowd and looking for issues. Community support officers can hang out and have a chat.

I understand what you’re saying about Poker, it is a skill game (and so is any kind of sports betting), but Poker is often a gateway into gambling addiction as people look at it the same way you do. 888 Poker have casino and sports betting brands which will be cross-sold to Poker players. I have many friends who attribute playing Poker to their gambling addiction and in my opinion, your target audience is highly susceptible to gambling addictions, therefore you should be wary of its promotion.

@@ryanyates4124 I think you may have missed his point
Peter is right, Police are on the job and shouldn't be doing that while on duty. Jack makes some good points too
Considering once Peter himself on Shaun Atwood's pod corrected himself for using a dated term that could be seen as offensive to LGBT people a highly doubt he's homophobic.
In what way exactly?
Is it?
Bullshit
How have they been targeted? Nonsense chat
Grow a thicker skin then.

I don't think Bleksley actually dislikes Jaack, just disagrees with some of his views and Jaack is taking it waaaaaaayyy too personal
The reason you tweeted him publicly was all for likes and attention, he classed you as a friend and you through him under the bus!! It just showed what type of person jaackmate is..

The reality of the police is, when they start catching criminals and stop doing tiktok dancing and stop acting like bully’s, that’s when the relationship with the public will change.
Peter might have been too sharp with you at times but he's absolutely and completely correct in what hes saying.
So you don't want the service to build trust within historically ostracised communities? You enjoy the status quo?
@glyndwrjohn6383 if you just look at the police force for 2 seconds you can see that pro pride, pro blm IS the status quo

I think you should've told him in private. Your views are not wrong and I agree with you, but doing it publicly will just create unnecessary beef
