I hate when they say they are “getting their life together”. People getting their life together aren’t doing heroin.
That attorney doesn't understand simple word of "no"
Wow! This attorney is overstepping. The Judge said ‘no’. Move on.
She is rude.
How did she pass the bar ?
And she’s a poor listener. Judge Boyd is attempting to save her life.
A life of entitlement does that.
Everybody wanna be home for Christmas. Bet if there wasn't a case and she was out, home would be the last place she would be.
Like they’re going to be sitting by the fireside and drinking cocoa! 🙄
Heroin is not exactly the every-now-and-then drug
No it is not, at least not after the 2nd or 3rd time!! The first time I used I fell asleep quickly there after but the 2nd time I actually got the full effect & it was all over from there.. def not something you wanna get involved in!!
Reminds me of when I started using H as a teenager, I would typically tell people, I can stop anytime I want. I did stop, 28-years-later.
@@cgill4269definitely not. I hope life is everything you want it to be now. Congrats on sobriety.
@incomitatus congrats on sobriety!
It can be if you control your use.
Doing drugs with disability money …. 🤦🏽♀️
Just say adios senorita
also she says she has seizures? drugs is a very bad idea for you ma'am!
Yup.
This is why public assistance recipients should be drug tested. If I need to be drug tested to be employed so should they!
So "Here's the thing...". Ruh Roh.
😂
Lol
😂 Exactly.
😂
😂😂😂😂
This Ms. Martinez obviously doesn't know Judge Boyd....No means no!
She's 38? Holy cow, looks 68
That's meth for you.
Drugs will do that.
Meth will age folks, 20 years for each year of use.
That’s a hard 38
That's too harsh, she doesn't look a second over 58🫠
Nobody uses meth "now and then", you're either using it or you aren't. It's not like alcohol where some people only take it on special occasions.
Don't push it, Ms. Martinez. Your client is getting a good deal.
Edit, no really, knock it off.
Gotta give the attorney kudos for pleading for her client.
WOW..the attorney doesn't konw who she's messin' with. The woman loves her drugs more than her adult children.
@@teresawatson6401 No, at some point it crossed from vigorous defence to just being reckless with your client's fate
The defense attorney seems to be straight out of school!! Begging does not become you madam
Yeah, the first time she said no you drop it.
I couldn't believe she asked that final time ...like are u DEAF . She said NO
She’s fighting for her client, what’s wrong with that? She didn’t overstepped her boundaries otherwise the judge would’ve reprimanded her.
As a criminal defense attorney, the first woman is one of the things that I find the most frustrating. It’s so hard to ask a judge over and over to do something you know they’re not going to do and you know isn’t best for your client. But you have to ask. That woman doesn’t need to go home for the holidays; she needs to be in a structured treatment program.
I'm a 2L currently - that seems like a frank conversation to have with the client.
Agreed, she absolutely doesn't need to be home for the holidays...thats when family party & drink the most leading to the courage to play with the harder substances. They need to miss a few holidays with family to learn to appreciate them more.
It's the same woman. First video was 1.5 years ago.
@@sandboxplayerz667 I was wondering if that was the same person!
Wow! Her poor children….she REALLY needs to get clean & sober!
There are those that would say Judge Boyd was too harsh regarding the holidays. Here's the issue(s), Judge Boyd isn't there to make friends, she's not there to be nice, now Judge Boyd just happens to be extremely friendly & exceptionally nice overall. She's NOT looking at this from a "how can I punish and/or hurt these defendants the most" POV. She's looking at it, like she ALWAYS does, "how can I stop this person from destroying theirs & their families lives, long enough to get them the help they need, that will actually help them be successful.". If she was to allow this lady out on bond for the holidays, she is going to use, because she's been in custody & therefore hasn't had access. If that lady then gets a laced batch, ODs or gets plastered & decides to drive & hits someone, that is on Judge Boyd. Keeping her in custody is not only the smartest thing to do, it is absolutely the right thing to do for everyone, especially the defendant.
I don't think anyone watching this would think she is being too harsh. Judge Boyd explained her rationale very well. If you want to be home for the holidays, don't get in trouble with the law around the holidays. Better still, don't get in trouble at all.
@@jenx5870 honestly that was more for the comment section "experts" that always show up. I was just being proactive. 😇
Yes but it don't always work the person has to want to stop if she don't then u face the consequences
Please, the defendant is an addict, she will say anything. She doesn't give a damn about her kids or the holidays. She wants to get out for her next fix.
Counselor, I said NO.
They never have a pot or a window but they always have money for drugs.
So Many People Show Up With Drug Charges on disability! Make it Stop!
We all pay !
These defense attorneys are getting dumber, ruder and all of them have a problem hearing what the judge says.
YES!
It's probably a public defender. She's a horrible one
It’s her job to argue for her client. It’s not dumb or rude. It would be malpractice to not advocate for her clients interests.
Why would someone choose to wear a mask and then proceed to wear it in a way that it provides basically no protection.
Probably because they were forced to wear it genius
Or she had horrible looking teeth
Probably because her "methmouth" would give her away immediately.
They are given the choice to wear one or not. You can tell who is a narcissist by who chooses a mask. She knows this is recorded and wants anything to hide her face, but shes too methed up to breathe out her nose right.
Meth mouth.
This attorney is really unprepared
It's more than likely a public defender.
Defense attorney is grasping at straws but it’s not good for her client.
This woman looks old enough to be MY mother, and im 53! And im not kidding.
She's only 38??????
Crazy right?
What a whiney, crybaby attorney.
Makes me sick that these people that get social security that we pay are out there doing drugs. If you’re doing drugs you can find a dam job .
What's a dam job? 🤦
Learn to spell fgs.
That's a rough 38
I like how Judge Boyd makes people feel good about themselves when she can.
I liked her "babysitter" analogy. Babysitter? What's a babysitter?
Judge Boyd reminds me of my grandma. She'll call you out on your bull and will throw the book at you.
This Judge Is Wonderful !! She Cares about these Drugges & their Children!!❤
The attorney is pitiful
A lot of the public ones are, they're not good enough to do private paid work.
“The treatment programs have just not worked for this defendant!” Really??
The attorney is an enabler
meth, heroin and seizures. What can anyone say.
Insurmountably stupid. That's what.
Insurmountably stupid. That's what.
Hahahaha, the last woman got the book thrown at her when she walked in thinking she was just gonna get probation.
You got four years prison lol. Damn.
That's just messed up, dude!
She hit the find out stage.
It's the same woman. First video was 1.5 years ago.
@@amywade4035 Drugs change people. It's the same woman. I checked. Do you think there was another Martinez a year ago in Dec 20 with the same charge who was being revoke today.
@sandboxplayerz667 u got me there it is the same person after all
besides how fucking dangerous it is, don't people know it ages you?! i thought she was in her 60s!
If THAT was my lawyer, I’d be PISSED
Drunk? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This attorney acts nuts.
Lord have mercy the denial…
Judge Boyd is an amazing judge. She stern when she needs to be compassionate when she needs to be a little of both when she needs to be thank God for old fashion values. I applaud her decision making.
Very fair judge. Love it.
my husband was a submariner. my family and i took all of the holidays that he was on patrol for and moved them to when he was home. and we still celebrated those holidays. as for the defendant, arrange a big get together with the family where other families get together. but keep her at the facility.
First case, horrible mom. She should accept treatment for her kids. She is selfish and not a mother. Meth is not a here-and-there drug ...smh
It’s all the same woman. The woman at the end was just 1 and a half years later. 😮
Judge, If your 17 year old still needs a babysitter, it is all ready too late, you might as well reserve a cell for him.
That prosecutor sounds like she just woke up....And the defense attorney is delusional, good gracious.
Masked but not covering her face?😮
“You got your meth in my heroin.” “You got your heroin in my meth.” New- Reese’s Speedballs
The defense attorney is a bit daft: Judge Boyd was giving blatant hints and the attorney just immediately ignores the hint. I understand that she is looking out for her client, but there's a limit to that defense and to do so, can and does negatively impact the outcome. To quote a little known song from a little seen movie: "Let. It, Go." That, or the defense attorney is an charter member and president of the Beating the Dead Horse Society.
When she opened up with "I'd like to see her out for the holidays," that's when I started thinking this probably isn't going to go to well. Then I thought, who the hell are you with this "I" SH_T!!!
@@merlynshandley6337 I agree. I am not in the legal arena in any way save being deposed a few times on EMS involved events with crime, but I can say I have seen occasions where the defense attorney take a too personal interest in a client and it clouds their judgement and jurisprudence.
@@navyhmc8302your absolutely right and nailed it eloquently….ty
she claims "here and there" but she looks 20 years older than she is...
She is 38 and has a 22 year old kid.
the attorny is an enabler
The defense attorney is doing her assigned job. She works for the client, not the District Attorney.
No, theyre paid to defend their client. Get a job that matters and maybe youd understand.
@@YT4Me57I disagree….theres a responsibility to be a zealous advocate….BUT….once the judge has ruled THTS the show…..this matter of defense attorneys trying to persist with the arguments but it’s not appropriate
Judge's flowers are beautiful
The first defense attorney is terrible. "Can she be out for the holidays?" So dishonest to the point of incompetence. Great days to be loaded.
She wasn’t with her family when she was getting tattoos.
Judge Boyd is so awesome!
Guess she’s not going to be home for Christmas for a few years.
Judge Boyd is awesome.
I agree the judge.
The 2nd inmate needs to be turned into *state disability services* to revoke her privileges, monthly payments she’s receiving for disability, it’s NOT FAIR, to other people in need that are waiting to even get on disability. I do believe it’s against the rules & regulations when on disability to use drugs, be convicted of any offenses, spending jail time, SHE SHOULD BE REVOKED FROM DISABILITY!!!!!!!
Let me see, own a house or get tattoos?
She said she, "didn't pay the $114 fine with money". She paid with meth.
Doing drugs and on disability, girl please get it together!🙄
That first woman is THIRTY-EIGHT!!?? She looks older than I am, and I'm 62!!!!
The first woman is the same woman in the second court session.
@@jacqueresch6534 OH, MY LORD!!
My nieces mother died of an overdose. Struggled with drugs her whole life. We talked a lot aboutcthe fact she'd probably be found dead. The only good thing was that the other addicts at least called 911 so she didn't lie there for days.
Holy crap! She hasn’t made very good choices, if she looks like that in her 30’s!!!
Love me some Judge Boyd!!
"You got your meth in my heroin! No, you got your heroin in my meth!"
I hate it when that happens ( like I know haha thank God!)
Meth: Especially not twice.
No the girl in the second one I guess she hasnt she anything she hasn't learned anything what she has learned is the lingo the lingo she knows how to talk about stuff and how to make it sound good and she knows all the words cuz she's been in and out of treatments she knows what to say and she knows the process I am glad that this judge is tuned in to all that she can cut through all that stuff and talk about the issue
She’s a knuckleball geometrician. Roar!
Ummm… NO!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Judge Boyd!!
I've written my on drug treatment program. I have never used illegal drugs. I am confident that my UA will be clean.
Great judge.
Id tell them they have to be tested every single day for a year, and pay for it out of pocket. And if they miss or fail one time, its 5 years prison no question.
She offered to be tested every single day, but the Judge said no, you will fail them just as you have been doing
@@DeniseSyrett and thats what the judge decrees. So be it.
Judge is good, but her preaching goes in one ear and out the other.
She knows this is recorded. She is speaking to the world when she “preaches”, and she knows that. No one who listens will ever end up in a court in the first place. Doubt she has that confused.
I think she does have successful people, and she does reach some people.
You can't save them all.
Yes, perhaps in this case, but perhaps the judge’s “preaching” will sink in another case like this. We can only hope. - you can “lead a horse to water but can’t make it drink”. Hopefully, some of “the horses” will drink. 🙏🏾
38? She looks 60. Don’t do drugs, kids.
?38? Wow. I would have guessed 58. And that might be a kind gesture on my part.
The first attorney, she ACTUALLY made it all the way through law school🤔
She’s on government assistance doing meth? She should be disqualified.
Maybe the court should buy her christmas presents and give her a free vacation!
"Do Her Way"
To do one's way is unacceptable. One should have one's way done for one.
Also, to have ones massively punished is just the worst. The massively didn't do anything wrong.
She won't be getting much meth in prison for the next 4 years. That may save her life.
That attorney don’t know Judge Boyd😮
That woman looks elderly. SMH. Yikes 38?! No ma’am
Kids learn what they live- goid or bad.
What a pushy attorney! The judge made her decision. Bye!!!!
There’s another handbag!! The judge owns handbags. Lots of handbags. You should KNOW she possesses handbags.
I think this is the first time I have heard about the Esperanza Court as opposed to the Felony Drug Court in these videos. It seems the Esperanza Court is specific to Texas (and maybe only San Antonio) and is focussed on prostitution and human trafficking. Anyone know more about this?
The attorney is as bad as the client in the first case
Horrible attorney
On disability and illicit drugs.
I think this attorney is not aware of the details of the case.
Funny how people see the light and are ready to get better once they find themselves in jail. Weird how getting their life together, quit doing drugs and breaking the law never occurs to them before being picked up.
This lawyer is crazy.
Hey great idea....wanna be out for holidays! DONT BE A CRIMINAL AND BREAK THE LAW....
Alcohol is my drug of choice. I didn't realize that i was self medication for the high pain levels. In 2019 at 29 i was finally diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos and got proper treatment from my drs. Sometimes people self medicate with street drugs bc drs don't listen once you r labeled 😢
When was the last time you were employed? I sold lemonade when I was seven years old.
The second woman is 23 years old.
The heading is a total lie. She literally had no other option. The state tried Over and Over to help her. She earned that sentence!
Is it not the prosecutors job to examine the defendent.?
Why is the lawyer allowing the client to be examined by the judge?
Client has the right to not self incriminate.
5th amendment.
She should have thought about the holidays before using.
