Hello, very good video, it is very instructive about these rods, and there is not much information about them on the internet. I am a fisherman from the north of Spain, and I was looking for a fishing rod that is sensitive to work with spoons, shallow and medium crankbaits and minnows from 1/4 to 1/2 oz, but that has enough power reserve to fight lake brown trouts up to 12-14 lbs max. I'm looking for a spinning rod in 2 sections. Do you think that the shimano curado in 7" and medium model can work for me? or is the 7.2" medium heavy model from 1/4 to 3/4 oz a better choice? Thank you so much.
I would like to add that these rods are so incredibly strong. You can give these things hell and they’ll keep kicking. This is my go to rod when I’m not using G Loomis because I’m pretty hard on my gear.
Have a SHIMANO Bass One XT 1610 for one Curado 151 HG DC. Thinking of a Curado rod for my other 151 HG DC which do think would be most compementary out of the Curado rods. Would be great the combo of Curado reel & rod? Love my reels… Great video!
Mitch now that you have fished them a little what do you think of the Curado today ? Have you ever compared it to the Expride B ? I have a Couple St Croix Legend Bass rods and I am getting tired of paying $300 plus for a Rod. Thanks
The Curado rods are solid for the price. I haven't used the Expride B yet but from what I understand they are spectacular. I think if you're looking for a quality rod with a higher end feel but don't want to spend $300, the Zodias is a great option. Has a little better components and feels a little nicer than the Curado rods, but it comes in at the low $200s.
The original curados didn't compare to even the older Zodias & now I feel the new design is almost identical to the older Zodias models before the Monocoque handle. If I was to buy anything other than Zodias or expride I'd probably go this the Curados. The color scheme are great tho.
How is the bend in the rod? I’m looking for something something with a bit of casting distance and sensitivity aka is it a stiff rod/is the tip of the rod stiff or has a bit of bend to it? (Specifically the casting rod)
Very nice, I'm gonna to reference people to this video when I do my sub-$200 rod round-up video here soon, as I agree with you on the Curado rods
Thanks Gramps!!! I really enjoyed my time with these rods and was actually blown away by the 7'2 H if you couldn't tell!

Just ordered a Curado DC, I feel like pairing up this Curado 7ft medium would be a good setup
I have the exact same combo setup! I love it. SLX DC 151HG reel on the 7" Curado MH fast action rod is one of the best combo out there for your buck!
This will be my next rod purchase.
Easily one of the best rods you can buy under $200
Seems like the curado got the old zodias handle. When the zodias was $200, it was a killer deal.
It basically is an old Zodias

Thanks 🙏 looking for a good jig rod, I assume the 7 2 H would work a frog 🐸 good as well.
I didn't use it as a frog rod but I'd have no problem at all using it as one. Slap some 50-65lb on there and let er' rip!

It’s like a improved version of old zodias
I love my 2 curados and my 2 expride B. But for some reason I favor my curados more

Try the Expride B
Good info bro but balancing a rod means nothing
Maybe to you!
is you one of them "little" people ?
