I got the Expride 7’2” MH glass with the HG Curado DC. Fished it a little but didn’t fish much this year because I got a new puppy so I put my energy into him. Looking forward to next season to really put it through its paces. What fishing I did do with it was awesome. Super happy with the purchase. Definitely a step up from my g Loomis ex6 rods. Looking at getting the Expride 7’2” MH graphite for all my jig fishing and Texas rigs. Torn between the SLX DC XT and the Curado MGL 150 as they are lighter than the Curado DC and the SLX DC XT has the higher end DC chip
Yes I find my self in the same situation as far as reels go. The Curado line without DC is hard to beat. I am a big fan of DC myself. I have also fished and owned a few of the SLX DC. I had the JDM SLX DC the ones with the extra ball bearing and you could fish them in salt water I believe. My only complaint with them would be the plastic star drag. They had to cut cost somewhere at the same time to offer it at its lower end price point. Also I remember feeling like the drag would slip during a hookset and that it just wouldn't tighten down as much as you would like it to. I am also looking forward to fishing some of my new combos this spring, that's what keeps it fun for me always trying new things!
Hey outdoor,d thanks for the great video. I think shimino makes the best rod's and reels that money can buy . I've done so much homework the past 3 yrs. I've used high end rods from 5 different companies and none of them where worth it. But Shimino expride that's the best fishing rod money can buy and it's not 350-400 dollars. The expride is cheaper now instead of being 350 dollars the expride B is 279 . Thanks again.
Shimano is hard to beat, most of my rods are some form of Shimano. I am happy with them. I have and fish the Expirdes, they are awesome. I also own and fish some of the lower ends rods and also really like them. I agree their technology and success gives them an edge with bringing their higher end technology on down to lower price points. All my reels are Shimano as well!
No, I didn't notice it. My Cruado rod is a heavy though and feels fine. I also have a Curado DC on the EH Curado rod. That setup I have fished no issues at all. The Zodias I have is MH with Curado Dc and I didn't notice it with that one neither. Keep in mind I haven't fished the Zodias yet. Usually if something doesn't feel like a good pair, I notice it right away. With all these set ups everything feels good!
I believe they are the same blank. The zodias has the better handle and guides. Both are good rods! The Curado rod for being at its lower price point it is super sensitive!
@@Outdoord i’ve caught 5 fish over 5lbs since i just started fishing here in the last 3 months. My Pb is 6 pounds 9 ounces. And like i said i just got back into fishing a few months ago. They were on fire in july and beginning of august and the the bite died off and just started picking back up about 2 weeks ago for some reason. Maybe i burnt my spot out not sure but i’m only fishing right off the dock in my backyard. I live in lake county. Insane catching almost a 7lb largemouth in your backyard 😂. Never happen up north

this is spot on for my research. thanks! probably will go for the 75HF instead of the EH

Do you think that the curado 7'2" 1/4-1oz can be used eitger with small crankbaits?
Those rods are supposed to be technique specific do they say what technique it’s designed for on the rod
What did get rid of the nrx rods?
No, I got the NRX Plus. Gonna do a video on them soon!
Yo I have a Curado rod in the 7"2 Medium action paired w/ the curado dc reel and it feels unbalanced. did you get that feeling with your MH?

Hi, your opinion is better than Kurada or Zodias??? Or are they two identical spins???

yo you from maryland?
Yes!
@@Outdoord i knew it. I could tell as soon as you started taking. I’m from maryland as well. Live in florida now though
@@Outdoord that’s crazy i could never mistake a maryland accent 😂. Where at?
@@BigDirtDawg Lucky you 🤣I love Florida. The fishing and weather is so much better there. What's your PB for Florida?
