Drogba's 09 disgrace meltdown is iconic. First time I recall seeing a player completely lose it. The parodies and remixes of early TH-cam that came from it were also a treat.
I'll never forget that meltdown man, and justified too!
I remember when I was getting into football and seeing that clip over and over again
That match was probably the biggest scandal in UCL history. Chelsea had 4 penalty calls turned down. 2 of them being cast iron, and Pique should have been sent off for handball.
Plus it robbed us of the prospect of a Chelsea vs Man Utd final rematch.
@@Vizeh you missed the 2011/12 quarter final between benfica and chelsea another robbery involving chelsea, but i didnt see no one call that a disgrace maybe bcs it was beneficial to the english side. Anyways you could now do a europa league version, and if you do the 2013/14 final has to be there, probably the biggest robbery that competition history, weird how it also involved benfica. Its almost as if referees are also on Bella Guttman's side.
It was a F****** Disgrace!
One thing that is important to consider with Karius' CL Final performance is that he was later diagnossed to have suffered a head concussion early in the second half which might have led to his mistakes. If there where a better medical team in place those scenes probably wouldnt have happened
Excuse FC
@@anLeithreasif fans complain about Karius' errors, people like that guy will say 'So much for You'll Never Walk Alone lol' but when fans defend Karius, they'll be like 'Excuses'.
That's the nature of rival fans
I actually can't believe he didn't mention it. I thought it was pretty common by now that he was incredibly concussed. It adds to the tragedy of him largely being the scapegoat, when he shouldn't have been out there to begin with after the injury. It really is sad, and his career absolutely would've gone much differently if not for that injury
@@bigwills53 Yeah, I thought the concussion was the entire reason he was bringing it up. The dark part of that game is the way that it exposed the lack of proper concussion protocols. If he had hit his head again, it could have been fatal.
That’s fair, I didn’t really know if it was actually found 100% if he had a concussion, I thought it was more a theory honestly that’s why I didn’t mention it
I actually feel sorry for Karius now, and no, that's not because as a Newcastle fan, he's one of my team's players. But more cause I feel like his good goalkeeping before that moment is completely forgotten He's a decent keeper, just as said in the video, one game has defied his career.
I agree, it's sad that one moment can define a player
I said it from after the final. He's a 5 million pound keeper. He's been great and while getting Allison is superb for Liverpool, Karius should still be part of the team. I hoped he'd come back after Besiktas. It's good he's coming back up now. Hope he's gonna be a solid first choice somewhere else in the near future.
He’s not been able to be that good again
The Munich air disaster goes deeper than you state, they only attempted a third take off because the FA were against English teams playing in the European Cup and refused to reschedule fixtures to accomodate it. Had the plane waited to take off the next day, the weekend match would have been forfeited. The FA played a major role.
Viz, you missed the Real Madrid vs Bayern QF 2017.
- Casemiro not sent off despite multiple fouls after being carded.
- Arturo Vidal sent off for a clean tackle.
- CR7 scored two offside goals.
I searched online for controversy’s and stories, asked my followers on Twitter 3 times to inform me sadly no one brought this up🥲
lewa also scored an offside goal
@@Prpl08 wrong. Lewa scored a penalty. The alleged offside was the Sergio Ramos own goal, which means no offside.
@@weilim10 muller was offside and interferred with the play which prompted ramos to touch the ball and it went in.
Vidal got an undeserved penalty in the first leg
@@weilim10 👍
Manchester City finally winning the champions league belongs at the bottom of this list
I understand
Goat comment
@@Vizehwhat if it was a bad dream all along?
Why though
Lovin the tears keep em flowin 🎉
The Barca v Chelsea 2 legs where both awful. At the Camp Nou, Chelsea player slapped Iniesta and didnt received a red card, there where 2 penalties for Barca and the ref gave non existing offside for Eto'o (he was about to go 1v1 against the keeper). But the game at Stamford Bridge was 2x worse...
I didn't look too much into the first leg as the 2nd leg was so long already hahaha
@@Vizehthere was 3 bad decisions which could’ve really affected the second leg, Ballack elbowed Henry in the head and he didn’t get a red, Eto’o was called offside in a really good scoring position, even tho there were like 3 players in front of him, off the top of my head that’s what I remember, the referees in this tie where absolute shit
they dont care about this though they only think about that stupid drogba vid and say barca robbed chelsea
Chelsea should have had 5 pens in the second leg and 2 red cards...it was so much worse for them so stop with that excuse
@@angelescumatei6401Chelsea should have had 5 pens in the second leg and 2 red cards...it was so much worse for them so stop with that excuse
Living in Brussels for 10 years, passing by Heysel Stadium always was an experience of mixed emotions. Even when i went to watch my country battle against the Belgian national team, the feelings were still lingering. Even after the renovations and the change of the stadium's name, it always felt bleak. My country also experienced many football tragedies, maybe you can do an iceberg about football tragedies all around the world that arent really talked about. Anyway, the way the channel transitioned to this type of content is amazing. Keep up!!!
As a United fan I've heard that the Munich Air Disaster was the darkest moment in our history but to learn more i understand why. Im thinking of going to Old Trafford some time either this summer or next summer and I'll 100% pay tribute to those who died in that event. Also keep these coming, love having these on while playing Fifa
I love how Vizeh never mentioned how Karius got a concussion and thats why he made so many mistakes.
Or the fact liverpool fans sent him death threats and posted his address
@@SaudiGodWho do you support?
@@SaudiGodI must've forgotten when I did that.
@@LoCoAde87 why
He also didn't mention how in the 2009 Chelsea Barca game, only 1 player was sent off and it was a Barca player with half an hour to go. Gee, that's some pretty freaking bizarre 'favoritism' from a referee 🙄🤦♂️
25:39 Here in Romania, that was considered absolutely ridiculous. Nobody thought it was racist or that the ref meant it to be. If he really wanted to say something bad about the player he couldve used much worse language, that the guy wouldnt even understand (the only reason he understood being the fact that the romanian word for "black" is "negru" and it sounds a lot like well known western racial slurs).
And overall, Romania doesnt really have any history of racism against black people in general, it is an irrelevant topic in this country.
This is a case of things really not being as plain as they seem.
I know I thought that was incredibly silly.
Steve McNanaman in the ITV presentation box at half time said in 2005.... "They scored three goals in the first half, we can score three in the second".
As soon as he said that, I watched the second half bearing that in mind. Should have become a famous quote that and nobody seems to mention it.
My day was pretty sad but when I see Vizeh upload a new video, I get happy! Let me grab my food and drink and enjoy this 42 minute video! 😄🎉
You hero mate!
Me too tbh
Hope your day gets better man
Hey bro, ive been a heroin addict for 23 years now clean for almost a year and almost killed myself twice. Life gets bad but it gets way better man, i remember o was living day to day just to shoot heroin down my veins and now i have a much larger appreciation for life. It gets better bro😅
One thing you haven't mentioned is color grading: basically throught the years uefa has set up the cameras and tv graphics to be made more vibrant in order to attract more viewers. (Or at least thats the reason why if i remember correctly.)
Do an Iceberg on ultras and hooligans, craziest events, fights, banners, tifos, some of the darker incidents.
Oh god I think my video would get taken down😂
@@Vizeh Nah man, Ive seen worse.
@@Vizehthere's muchhhh worse on youtube
@@Vizeh please do it that would be sick as hell
There is a famous clip of Shrewsbury Town fans kicking the living shit out of Leicester City fans in the mid 80's. If you can find it, it's a doozy.
Love the longer videos. They feel so natural and passionate, love the work bro
The work put into this is incredible keep it up mate
If you do a world cup one, you have to include NZ vs Costa Rica last year, Costa rica convinced the ref to not give nz a goal and the ref seemed dodgy and not much attention has been brought to this
A World Cup video will be done 100%
As a liverpool fan I feel awful about Heysel can't believe that happened and I don't blame jueventus fans for not forgiving us but Hillsborough like Heysel were horrific disasters which we should never mock and every club accept brighton and palace this season is chanting about both disasters honestly shut up and just member and say never again
Honestly some football fans are braindead. Makes it more shameful if it's Liverpool fans since I'm a Liverpool fan too.
Like just watch the game and get behind the team. I don't get it people mocking dead fans.
Waking up to a 43 minute Vizeh video is the best thing, I can wake up, and then eat breakfast and clean a bit with the video on :D
That makes my day man, thank you!
I hate time zones its 11 pm for me
Vizeh icebergs are so good to watch always so interesting, hope you can do other euorpean competitions and other leagues like la liga or serie A
Will be looking into doing one involving Messi v Ronaldo I believe

As a Romanian citizen, I was in tears when you described how special Duckadam’s moment was. He is an icon for every upcoming goalkeeper in Romania, and that shouldn’t be limited just to us. Every upcoming goalkeeper should aspire to achieve feats like that, and Duckadam’s name should be known worldwide. He is a true example of no matter who you are and where you come from, you can most certainly do it. This story is one major factor of what happend the following years with Romanian football, and I’d love to share to anyone interested!
He’s right up there with Bruce Grobbelaar and Gordon Banks. Two of the most iconic keepers of the twentieth century
@@RTM-Sports would you like to explain why they’re so special? I personally haven’t heard of any of them.
@@plebius1877 Bruce Grobbelaar played in goal for Liverpool in the 80’s and early 90’s. He invented the crazy legs penalty routine save in a European cup final. Gordon Banks played in goal for England when they won the World Cup in 1966
Can't wait to watch this liam the icebergs have got to be my favourite videos of yours keep up the hard work 💪 👍
Don Revie wasn't at Leeds in 75. He left before then. Jimmy Armfield was in charge
Love to see a video like your every season of the prem but for the modern Uefa Champions league beginning in the 90s. Love your content and keep it up Vizeh❤
Another fantastic iceberg video as always
Referencing the Drogba outburst in that infamous game, I'm guessing you know about the rathergood channel remix?
I did know about Heysel and the Busby Babes in the abyss coming into this but the UEFA Cup 2000 alot of what you explained with what happened I didn't know!
combining football and morbid content is beauty, well played vizeh
The fact that you didn't even mention Inter Milan vs Valencia 2007 seems like a complete disrespect to me
I don`t know if this was the same season as the Leeds v Bayern final but as a Malmö FF fan my father always talks about this one time during the 70s when Malmö was robbed by Bayern. Gerd Müller scored a 5 meter offside goal to knock us out. And during the whole game the ref was pretty dodgy in favor of Bayern.
You choose almost inherently fun topics compared to a lot of football vloggers. Big ups, Vizeh!
"fun"
@@jaycartwright1170 yesss jay! Looooool
I don't normally watch icebergs but this is entertaining . Also your research is in depth.
When people talk about that barca chelsea match in 2009 . They will only speak on the mistakes against chelsea but barcelona was robbed of penalties and red cards too . Both in camp nou and stamford bridge
No they weren’t lol😅
I love your videos, especially the iceberg ones, I think it would be better to do a general iceberg next time as that way you can cover topics from all over the world and not just from some parts of it
I have done general icebergs for my first 2 that went into all parts of football, I can do a part 3 soon!
1984 Anderlecht won the UEFA cup but were found to have bribed referees
1972 Borussia Monchengladbach we’re playing Inter when a coke can was thrown at and hit an Inter player, despite winning the match 7-1, were made to replay the game and drew 0-0, knocking them out. This is known in Italy as the Coke Can game and the all edged offending can is in the Gladbach museum
Well edited video, Loved it
Thank you mate!
I just discovered your channel and I'm glad that there are some videos about "the beautiful game". I still remember the 2005 Istanbul UCL final like was yesterday. As a huuuge AC Milan fan I was devastated for months after that game. Right after the penalty missed by Sheva I remember getting on my knees in front of the TV and started crying, at some point after crying for hours I started to vomit and my parents were seriously thinking to take me to the hospital, but I managed to calm down. I still think that the penalty for the 3rd liverpool goal was wrongfully given by the referee. I'm still loving AC Milan and I will for my entire life. Greetings from Romania! Thank you for the content and keep up the good work!
UEFA have always had an agenda against English/Scottish teams. In regards to the 2009 Chelsea vs Barca second leg, I was in attendance that evening and it is by far one of the most blatant examples of corruption I have ever seen. The year prior was the Man United vs Chelsea final and my honest belief is that UEFA couldn’t cope with the idea of an all English final two years in a row. Chelsea are not the only club to get the brunt of this either, arsenal would’ve knocked Barca out when RVP got sent off.
No it wasn't, Barca never bought the refs, they are just the greatest team
when you watch the chelsea /barca match you cannot come away without thiniking that at least 2 were nailed on pens and the fact the ref retired immediately afterwards with UEFA going oh well that's ok, nothing to see here -- all of this taken together its very hard, almost impossible, to believe chelsea weren't robbed.
I have loved all of these iceberg videos
I love your comments mate
Those Barca moments are deserving to be in this video but not including the Madrid 3 peat and the countless offside goals, non red cards and easy road to the final every year is just sad lol
countless??
its only the bayern game that caused uproar.Other games real got some favour but it wasnt blatant as that of barca.

@@shubhamchakrabarty8123 And to that please do add:
-Red cards whistled for literally no reason (Vidal touched the ball before touching Asensio)
-Non existent offsides (Lewan got denied of like four 1v1s because of supposed offsides that were later proven to be wrongly whistled)
-Handballs inside the box not whistled (Marcelo, Ramos and Carvajal do be playing Basketball fr)
-So many cards forgiven to RM player (e.g Casemiro's yellow-deserving entry against Robben, not even foul whistled)
As an american newbie to the world of Football, its hard to understand this iceberg when you say "we all know what happened" in several of your examples. either way love all your content!

Another layer to the actions of Roma and their supporters in 84 was how they terrorized the greatly outnumbered Liverpool supporters before, during, and after the final, which was played in Rome. The next season Liverpool faced another Italian team in the 85 European Cup final, playing Juventus at Heysel, and had running battles with them as well but the stadium was so poor it collapsed after a rush and became a tragedy that was conveniently blamed on the Liverpool supporters, but Italian football had its own share also. Nothing happens in a vacuum.
I love these iceberg videos. You should make a Copa Libertadores iceberg
6:32 a similar incident happened with Zack Stefan against Liverpool when he let mane score a goal like the benzema one and then he was shipped off on loan
You gotta do one of these regarding world cups. Keep up the great videos.

There was a bribe involving the sale of fur coats to a referee in 1996, which saw the consequences of Dynamo Kyiv getting ejected with Aalborg taking their place.
Great video and loves it mate but you absolutely butchered some names 😂 Ludovic Hullet?
About the UCL 2022 final and the incidents that happened, it's just surprising that the security in the Copa Libertadores 2019 final held in my home city were very good though the police here have less equipment and training than the police in first world countries, supposedly. The only incident was that some Flamengo fans said that there was no water in the stadium 😅

Chelsea were robbed, luckily we got our revenge in 2012, but that night in 2009 still haunts me

Always a good day when Vizeh uploads
Love you lad
I would add Juventus curse in finals and Ronaldo penalty in 2017 UCL. quarter finals, amazing video as always
Do you think you could do an iceberg video about footballing academies and what happens after? ❤❤
Sorry, I got whiplash there.
Never heard Collina pronounced as Sahlina.
For me, I genuinely think Benfica are cursed in European finals whether its Champions League or Europa League. I mean they got to back to back Europa League finals in 2013 and 2014 and lost them both.
I don’t get why the 1st leg of Chelsea vs Barcelona doesn’t get talked about at all but the 2nd leg does. The 1st leg had some diabolical missed calls overall both teams had terrible calls go their way
I was expecting Zagreb-Lyon 1-7 was gonna be here. There are rumours that the game was fixed. Lyon overtook Ajax in goal difference and advanced to the KO stage because of it. One of the Croatian players winked at the Lyon striker after they scored a goal. It has happened in 2011/2012
Thnk u vizeh ur the best football yter i kno thnk
Absolute legend 🐐
Nah you are lad!
If I had a nickle for everytime a Norwegian ref ruined a London club's important Champions League game I would have 2 nickles. Not a lot, but weird it has happened twice.
He contentiously red carded Eric Abidal in the 66th minute of that game giving Chelsea a man advantage, at home, and already up by a goal. If anything, his refereeing favoritism was *for* Chelsea, not against. 🤷♂️
@@stephenmason9527 i wouldnt say he helped Chelsea, nor Barca, Im just gonna say his refereeing was absolute shit
Yeah, and Real Madrid 2016-18 you don’t mention… Not even CR7’s 2 offside goals vs Bayern and the red card to Vidal for a foul ON him in the same game. Very unbiased, congrats
I think why Karius couldn’t save bales long shot or the roll out to benzema because earlier he got hit in the head from corner by Sergio ramos leg I think. He could have got a concussion meaning he could have seen worse and maybe wouldn’t make out everything that happened.
World Cup Iceberg! Really want that.
I think I'd like to see The Darkest Crimes of Footballers Iceberg next
"Stela"- hahahaha, that is horse name, is "Steaua", meaning ,,The Star", very good video like always. Hai Dinamo !
Happy Father's Day Vizeh!
Hey vizeh now that burnley are back in the premier league should we expect to see any content on burnley again? Loving the content right now was just wondering if we should expect any
You are missing out the vitally important thing about Karius, getting almost KO'd moments before the blunder, he was clearly concussed
That RVP one had me convinced barca were doing something dodgy
How did you not even mention that Karius had suffered from a concussion after a colission with Ramos during that match? The 2018 CL finals should be remembered as one of the dirties performances by a single player without any consequences, since Ramos took out two Liverpool players.
Only one I can think of is Chelsea vs Barcelona and Marseille’s cheating scandal tbh
You got those spot on!
On the situation with PSG vs Basaksehir:
The issue was that, in Romanian, black="negru". And when the players/coaches heard "negru", they associated it with "Negro", which caused all the commotion.
missed out on forest vs anderlecht when the ref was paid by anderlecht and came out years later saying yes he which cost us winning 3 in a row
Could you do a Darkest World Cup Iceberg
Could include stuff like Zaire 1970
That UCL 09 semi was fixed.
Barcelona themselves were fixed. Referees seemed to try and please barca back then
Sergio Ramos injured Salah and gave Karius a concussion in that UCL final, it was absolutely criminal
And not any Injury, Ramos performed a technique that is literally banned on Judo (the sport it was created), now in Judo its prohibited and means immeadiate disqualification, but in Football apparently isnt even a yellow card?
You should do team icebergs
People seem to forget karius had a concussion which probably played a huge part in what happened
as someone who was at Heysel I can attest that Juve fans in the “neutral” area were throwing bottles & bricks into the Liverpool end. Of course it’s terrible that anyone lost their lives especially a child, but it can’t be compared to Hillsborough, which was police negligence that led to INNOCENT fans dying, whereas Heysel was Hooliganism that led to (mostly) not so innocent people dying
