note: weapons, skills and support gems are not bound by any classes in POE, for as long as you meet the attribute requirements you could be a Mercenary that summons skeletons to keep enemies occupied while you shoot from afar, or you could be a hybrid warrior that cast spells as well or a sorcerer that wields crossbow and much more. The class importance is where you start in the passive skill tree as well as when you ascend your character for further specialization of certain skills that you want to Opt in. I recommend once you do end game, just pick one, master that first and if you feel like you want to do another one feel free to do so :) Looking forward to your experience! PS: Try POE1 too! it's good!
Good outlook on the passive tree. I'm sad that it scares so many new playes. It boils basicly down to 3 things. (4 ish) Damage, defense, utility, and "special nodes" When you start out, if you want to go for a fire dealing damage build, since that's your archetype fantasy, just focus on Fire damage, spell damage, and increases to the typical "mage" archetype, whilst if you're a melee character, you'll maybe just focus on the Melee physical damage aspect of things. And seeing how it's a game, you're supose to have fun and experiment. Try new things, figure out what you think is cool. If you're a braindead boomer like me, who likes to have the path already paved, there exists SO MANY!!!! Well-premade build guides, with long youtube vidoes that explain in detail how the build will preform at certain points, and if you meet any issues there is a gigantic community. I love this game, got 5k hours and I still feel like I'm learning new stuff, which is what I want in a game. I don't want to get bored. I don't want to "have done everything" ( all these takes are from PoE 1) Hopefully we'll see an influx of players to PoE 2 !! :)
Wow, actually good breakdown. I like this, very well explained. I think you should do more like these because many that are use to this game lack the way of explaining to those that are new to this type of game style. POE is no joke and can be hard to get a grip on. I am deff thinking of Sorc or Monk. This if you stick 6to this game a s well you bhring a unique wayu of explaining that are tangible. Good stuff bro!!!
I'm also gonna start with the sorc. Do you think you could make some beginner guides as you learn the game, and we all can learn to slay together? I'm super stoked for Dec 6th. Still love Diablo 4 and will play it every season.
It crazy to be honest. With fully release, there are 600 different monster and 100 boss. Also, 12 different class you can play. I do play D4 for two season but there is still no end game after 1.5 year. Good thing I didn’t pay for their shit new class. If I can refund, I WILL. Anyway, D4 is make for money and Poe2 as far as I see. It make for gamer.
I learned I'm quitting D4 and switching to POE2 Dec. 6th.
Gonna be a good time!
