    Hey Legend, great guide (loved the first turn bait out!). One thing to add is "Rightly Suspicious" isn't as important as "Underdog" which effectively overrides "Supremacy" and everything else, making them an absolute breeze to confederate. In short, making sure they have Underdog is the easiest trick to guaranteed quick confeds. Cheers for showing my DE's some love!

    I have a different strategy with Lokhir that requires minimum skill and you will have 5-6 provinces(!) at turn 16-20. So, basically this mini (KEKW) guide
    Turn 1: Do 2 turns Star Tower strat. Force march Lokhir into the sea, recruit the lord at Chupayotl and recruit 3 dark shards for new lord and 1 dreadspear for Ark
    Turn 2: Attack Star Tower. You can autoresolve it or manually fight it for saving units (not manticore, he is trash).
    When you press end turn, reload your save file to cause the Teclis attack on you, fight it manually if you autoresolved Star Tower. This battle isn’t so hard.
    Manually fight him, and, these are steps to fight this battle easier:
    1) Make sure to lure the artillery shots to your damaged melee infantry and save your full hp 2 corsairs and 1 with shields
    2) Eagle will attack you aggresively, but even your damaged darkshards will shred him
    3) bombard their archers and loremasters infantry
    4) Don't let Loremaster Hero going close to your Black ark lord
    5) Shred loremasters and Teclis with archers
    Make sure you always get slaves option for battles
    Turn 3: finish Teclis if he is there, recruit corsairs handbows for Lokhir, disband manticore if he is alive still
    Turn 4: sack and occupy Fuming Serpent. Recruit masters or corsairs if you have money for it.
    Recruit masters if you can, demolish masters building as soon as you recruited masters and build gold
    Upgrade black ark to level 3 as fast as you can after that
    Turn 5: rush for the marks of the old ones skaven settlement. If you will have rebels soon, pop down Khaine’s rite to repell them. Recruit corsairs if you can
    You should sack the marks at the turn 7-8 and then you SHOULD get Karond Kar, but if you didn’t, Chupayotl garrison will beat up rebels and then you get it.
    Discover Malekith ASAP. Give gifts both to him and Rakarth.
    You need to have 16 units in your army, because you will get that sweet artillery from black ark
    If you have artillery, go to Oyxl and fight this battle manually. Make sure bombardments are available for this battle
    This siege isn't too hard
    Also, recruit some units to black ark to stop rebel at Chupayotl
    Dark conduit is really strong in autoresolve
    If Skrolk has a port, you can make it a sack city, if he doesn't, well, he could occupy Subatuun as well. And he can not to occupy anything at all. He is random, but not as much as he could fail your strategy
    So, now your goal is beat Itza.
    Hardest part
    If Gor-rok has an army and you are not in war with him, you should be fine because he will not attack you with unbreakable sauruses, yet
    Beat him manually in Subatuun, IF HE IS THERE, then move to Axlotl, you should beat armies even if it is Pyrrhic victory, because you are replenishing fast. Also you can pop down Atharti rite as soon as you confeded Karond Kar
    Always check your diplomacy
    Even if Gor-rok will fight you with unbreakable sauruses, you should beat him. Hardly, but beat him
    Make sure you can withdraw your artillery just in case
    So you can outrun sauruses
    Head up to Itza, attack, win it(middle difficulty). And you have Itza on turn 15-20 based on luck
    But you will have it, even if your hands are claws just like mine

    Good luck trying confederating Malekith. You can confed Rakarth for mone for his sweeeeeet port.
    P.S. These series is cool. Hope you will continue. Yes-Yes

      @JustSome462 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I never focus on Lustria tbh, what i do is this:
      1) Sack settlement with Lokhir and Force march towards Chupayotl.
      Build T2 Barracks for Masters.
      Move Black Ark to Star Tower, upgrade and get two corsair handbows.
      Get non aggression pact with Cult of Sotek if you want.
      Turn 2) Attack Star Tower with Ark, you can win this if you waste their ammo, if you want to make it trivial, set a 20 min timer and keep bombing them each time you get a draw.
      Sack and occupy, sail Lokhir towards Star Tower. Upgrade Ark barrack.
      Turn 3) Kill Teclis and secure the other settlement (sack and occupy so you unlock sacrifice to Khaine).
      Put the public order edict.
      Recruit two masters from the Ark.
      By now Lokhir should catch up with the Ark.
      Turn 4) Attack the Awakening, loot and occupy, it will revolt anyway so might as well get the money.
      Turn 5) Finish off Luthor, loot and occupy the settlement south of Awakening. Confed Karond Kar.
      Turn 7) Secure the Vampire Coast province by killing the Mutineers, don't worry when it revolts, rebels are bugged and can't attack the Awakening.
      From this onwards migrate to Ulthuan, you have four Black Arks and Dark Conduit, you are unstoppable, just drown them in corsair handbows

    I have 2 pieces of advice for the early part. On the first turn do not forced march as far south stop on the road by the reversed L shape lava lake. You will still be attacked there but they can't March back to the city so you get another battle and an easier battle at the city.
    Second piece of advice is in the early battles it really pays to use skirmish mode on the dark riders when using them as a distraction. It saves greatly on casualties.

      I think the AI-Beastmen don't use money. I doubt the AI needs favour for anything, deciding which items to buy is a lot of complex thinking that can be replaced with just giving the AI items at random. And building up Hordes+Herdstones with a simple algorithm, eliminating money-management would be my go-to method.
      And I am 100% sure they don't need dread as well, but unlock certain caps and milestones automatically. That cuts back on alot of computing power. Yes it would make the AI more "playerlike" but not more challenging as an opponent.
      In the end the "diplomatic cost" to request money form the AI depends on how much they like you and how much money they can spare. And if Beastmen don't need money. They have everything to spare :D [Didn't know that and it's a great trick for the early game or tight situations]

    On the first end turn, I bet you can reliably keep the army from running back to Ss'ildra Tor if you don't force march quite as far down. You really only want to force march down JUST far enough that the army there sees you and can come out to attack. Then it won't have enough movement to force march back after it loses.

    • @danielkirpichnikov2007
      @danielkirpichnikov2007 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then you wouldn't have enough movement points to sack and occupy the settlement on the 2nd turn.This start is so tight in terms of mp, that even slightest mismanagement with it wont allow you to do the same sack$occupy on turn 2 and 3. And your power will not increase fast enough to do that diplomacy shenanigans. But you can make Morathi lvl 6 in turn 4 because of that. Specific map really doesn't matter. Just do that 3 first fight about the same. You have enough space to do more mistakes and even be in better shape for 3rd battle.

    • @doktarr
      @doktarr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielkirpichnikov2007 I've pulled this trick many times, just not in this particular campaign. There's a distance from a city where an engaging enemy can reach you but can't force march back to the city after a loss, and you still have enough move to reach the city on regular march the next turn. This is because force march only adds 50% to your movement.
      Theoretically this would mean that if your distance from the city is anywhere between 100% of a full move from the city and 75% of a full move away from the city, it would work. In practice, The range where it works is smaller because the enemy is closer to the city than you are when the battle ends. But there is still usually a margin where it works.

    I think this is a good idea and I hope the guides are popular enough to warrant a few more. 20-Turn guides were great, but for most factions 20 turns is too much.
    In the first days of playing Total War: Warhammer 2, I used to watch your livestreams with the particular lord and try to emulate the first few turns to get the best start. Sometimes a little longer, but as stuff gets more random that doesn't help ofc.
    I remember starting my first legendary campaign with Mannfred because on lower difficulties the vision range is higher and you cannot kill the army AND attack the Castle in the first turn. So I had to start on legendary [kept the battle difficulty on normal though] ^^
    Except for how to level up the legendary lords. Searching the later VODs for a glimpse of the skilltree of a late-game lord was a little tricky. But I understand that "How to level up legendary Lord X" wouldn't make for good videos :D
    I rely on less and less turns as I got better (and level the lords up on my own now *gg*) but having a solid "This is a good strategy to get a great start" video will really help especially players just getting into legendary or trying to play a new faction. And I think this format works better for most people than the livestream VODs because your interaction with the chat (which is great!

    I absolutely love the idea of making a full series of videos like this. I love all of your first 20 turns videos but find some of them to be a bit outdated at this point, which totally isn't your fault obviously lol. So something like this could replace that pretty much and also save you a lot of questions I'm sure you are spammed with regularly on your streams lol.

    Good for a new series idea. I hope it will work.
    I personally always struggle to make enough casualities to the enemy during the first fight. So it is harder to win the second one.

    Never had issue with Morathi's start on Leg TBH. If you get Quartermester + Renowned and Feared + Tenacious you get 53 % upkeep reduction and heaps of post-battle loot money and can afford Shades doomstack by turn 25-30 and roll over anyone. Assuming you fight a lot and get enough XP by sacking cities and farming revolts.
    UPD: I don't get why Legend doesn't put any points to Scavenge on the Assassin - it's just free loot money. Super handy in early game

    I would highly recommend to give 2nd army 2 darkshard in addition. It would make that battle easier, it would make enemy army attack morathi in field (as she would have 2 less units), which you would easily win and it would make capturing port much much easier. For me it is quite reliable to recreate.

    Looking forward to the series, if any any point you could do Gelt I would appreciate it. In the current patch I can take the capital turn two without recruiting and then take the other two settlements as fast as I can walk to them, but then for some reason the dwarves declare war on me, and if I take time dealing with them, which takes forever since they can underway, the vampires just get out of control and swarm me with vargist spams.

  • @garycoleman7621

    Nice. I would love one of these for Chevaliers de Lyonesse. I always have trouble at the start of the campaign. I always feel absolutely beset on all sides by Settra, Arkhan, Strygos and the Prospectors

    • @ggleplussuxx4787
      @ggleplussuxx4787 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chevaliers have probably one of the fastest possible early expansions. Your early enemies are literally all undead garbage, and you can start spamming archers plus knights errant immediately. You do even get generic lords with lore of life.
      It's worth getting both income buildings in t2 settlements as they still grow, before specializing at t3. No one but Bretonnia can get 500+ gold from only 2 t1 buldings in a settlement. They are the ones that can blob and start reaping the benefits immediately, with minimum investment.

    • @garycoleman7621
      @garycoleman7621 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ggleplussuxx4787 Thank you. I think I probably play her too slowly rather than taking advantage of the complete chaff the tomb kings put out. Makes sense to just steamroll everything with bowman asap and recruit new ones if needed rather than relying on Bretts piss poor replenishment in settlements

  • @flipadip2712
    @flipadip2712 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When I go to recruit a lord on turn 2 it doesn't give me the option to recruit a sorceress. Only a regular male or female lord. Edit: this is because I don't have "The Queen and the Crone" DLC which I just realized was a thing.

      So far as I know, you'd have only heard the "and others" say that. iirc, he's said that it only makes a difference for Brettonia, because Close and Decisive have different Chivalry payouts.
