P-2 The Flying Pilot manipulates all the controls including selection of gear and flaps and the NP handles the checklist and talks on the radio. SMO-LAX is a one of shortest but extremely challenging sectors due to the level of traffic, turns and altitude changes especially in perfect VFR conditions! Literarily on a climbing right turn we were vectored for a visual approach into 24R in LAX. (We had briefed the approach even taxi before T/O in SMO and set up the ILS as back up in the FMC.)
P-4 We were reading the descent and approach checklist immediately upon completion of the after T/O one! I hope I have answered all your questions. Just don't ask me why Sandra is so beautiful! :-) She is a Dr. and originally a Goddess from Sweden! I am a retired UAL pilot and also was a 777/787 IP at Boeing before JetSuite lowered their standards to let me fly the Phenom Jet.
P-3 I feel more comfortable hand flying in situations like this having to do tight turns, fast approaches and slam dunks into my old stumping grounds for the past 50 years, LAX. My F/O, Zack is a Sr. Capt. at JS and a very sharp pilot. The reason the equally sharp SoCal approach controller is reading us the ATIS is that he knows with about 8 different frequency changes in a six minute flight we have no time to leave the frequency.
My friend Ruben Garay is an amazingly talented young film maker. He made an otherwise boring 6 minute flight into an exciting video. I'm not too sure about his casting me as one of the lead characters, however! I need to explain a couple of points for my former airline colleagues; Phenom-100 and most other VLJs are single pilot certified. JetSuite training and SOPs are designed around that concept but to maintain the highest level of safety we operate all live legs with 2 type rated pilots.
So how do we follow Sandra's journey to become a pilot? I volunteer for Youth Aviation Adventure (youthaviationadventure.org) and we look for stories like this that shows how someone goes from when the "bug first bites" to when they get their private pilot's license. Following someone through their journey to making flight a reality, helps the youth in our program realize that they can do it too.
It´s obvious that you are a layperson, the phenom has way better technology and costs about 600 million less, the cessna is very old and, not so comfortable and many other aspects, LOL you would definitely do a bad deal buying a old junk like M2 than phenom. LOL
You should look for facts before you speak and also depends on the currency and from which currency you are buying that makes the entire difference, that makes an expensive plane costs less making it less expensive than a previous cheaper one. You don't even know how the aircraft market works! LOL
alisson3000brmsn You're right, I actually don't know how the aircraft* market works. I just googled the price and the M2 was lower. I'm sorry if I triggered you.
I also googled the price and the phenom was lower! And even if it was higher the difference for someone that can afford doesn't matter, so you kid are still a layperson! and totally out of reality. LOL

You don't need to push so many buttons. We just do it to impress the chicks! :-)

Sure, "friends" ;)

good morning 5/4/2018
I definitely love the Phenom 100 but the Cessna Citation M2 seems like a much better aircraft for its lower price.
