Just got to watching this. I'm actually impressed you managed to get the drones small enough to fulfill their roles. They could use a cargo container (1 minimum ) and a conveyor system to pump the materials appropriately. Make sure you have a camera aligned with the connector to keep docking as painless as possible. The micromanager is flatly redundant. Provided the signal is in range or connected by comm bouys, you could just as easily find a control seat/panel inside a ship or base and pilot the drones from there. You are definitely doing pretty good with the designs so far.
Thanks, I definitely should add a backup camera for connecting it was quite difficult to line them up. As for the micro manager, in certain areas such as tunnels that are too narrow for a larger ship I decided to make a very basic small ship to still have a close visual in case the driller or welder get in a snag.
