I've converted my entire PlayStation collection to ROM's and I play them on a Raspberry Pi with a emulator especially the rarer games. I had some games like Silent Hill that I had to re-buy because it didn't work. Disc based games just don't last very long.
I know Woody race 1st before Mario race years later. And that Woody race is kick ass, its prety competitiv with punching and guns. And jumping for turning the car, u need to master it.

Generally these get rarer on post-16bit consoles because of the complexity involved with the assets. The best you can generally hope for are fan translations. Although there is a Castlevania SotN randomizer in the works, it's not designed to run on a PlayStation or emulator.

Tomba! is an excellent platformer for PS1. I imagine Tomba 2 is good too, but I haven't played that one yet.
