Thanks a million for all the effort you've been putting into this MC-101 serie. Some very smart tips never seen anywhere else and very straightforward explanations. Serious work ! +1 sub
It's typical internet cheekiness to request random strangers to spend their precious time helping duffers like me to get their heads around hardware. But please keep these films coming - they are well-produced, clear & helpful. Cheers 👍
Hi! Great video. Do you know if there's the possibility to sidechain the kick with other tracks? Could be a great thing in the next Roland's Upgrades as well, don't you think?
Hi - thanks for watching. As of version 1.60 there is no sidechain mode - I hope they add it in the future. I have a fake sidechain video which walks you through a couple of tricks to get your track pumping: th-cam.com/video/oKHigyccn60/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching. Not yet- I'm thinking of signing up to Roland Cloud only after they release the pro version of zenology (the one that lets you make your own patches from scratch). Also I need time to go through the 3,000 patches on the MC-101! I'm terrible at always wanting more sounds and gear before even using the gear I have!
These are really great thank you! Is there a way of copying and pasting a step within a sequence especially with chords in tone tracks? Kepp em coming! Cheers!
@@skarcreative Shift+Project+Seq deletes the entire sequence. Not quite what they asked. An Undo would prevent you from having to use this more drastic function.
Yes - this is possible BUT you need pretty quick fingers to press record on the looper track and then switch back to do the randomisation/reversing! Thanks for watching!

This thing has been difficult for me to understand, so I thought that I would share when I learnt something new! Thanks for watching!

@@teabreakbeats thank a lot!!!
Thanks for the great post👍
Did you get any svz files to try out on the 101?

Yes you can! (Sorry it took so long) See my video here: th-cam.com/video/ZROD5eVhwX4/w-d-xo.html
Dope man. Thanks!
No problem! Happy to help - thanks for watching.
Nice video. Just liked and subbed. I have a 707 on the way... trying to get a few tips before it arrives :)
Hope you enjoy it, the 707 is much more powerful than the MC-101!
@@teabreakbeats thanks! I’ve really been enjoying it so far.
Super helpful!
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching
Can I transpose down +12 semitones?
thx you ~~ please keep do it~~
Thank you, I will
Great videos. Wish there was an undo though.
Thanks for watching. Agree - undo would be great! Saves having to save/reload if I mess up. Version 1.6 is out!
Try SHIFT+PROJECT+SEQ
Great as always! I didn’t know most of these, some cool live performance options here.
Thanks!
another question, can you resample while you're using the scatter fx?
Yes - this is also possible, a bit easier to manage than the reversing/random as your fingers don't have to be so quick to switch modes! Thanks again
Do you know if there is a Record Undo feature? Sometimes when I record I make mistakes and want a shortcut to just undo that.
Hi Translucent Studios - I don't think there is a record undo. Maybe a workaround is copy your clip into a spare clip as a backup before recording?
Yes there is.It's SHIFT+PROJECT+SEQ
@@skarcreative Shift+Project+Seq deletes the entire sequence. Not quite what they asked. An Undo would prevent you from having to use this more drastic function.
can you do the randomization and reversing while resampling to another track or resampling internally?
Yes - this is possible BUT you need pretty quick fingers to press record on the looper track and then switch back to do the randomisation/reversing! Thanks for watching!
