- This was an amazing day. Beautiful scenery, amazing conditions and just so much fun.
There's a real thrill driving on the beach that's pretty hard to beat and having Bessie all set up and on the sand for the first time was unreal.
We headed from Tin Can Bay towards Rainbow Beach, down the Freshwater Track and up to Double Island Point. If you don't know it, it's a stunning north facing bay, beautiful rocky headland and only accessibly by 4WD or heli. It's seriously a stunning spot. If it isn't on your list yet, get around it.
You can camp on Teewah Beach south of there., but we didn't at the time as the weather was really all over the shop and it was only this one day that was great on the forecast.
Bit of a mixture of content here, we shot a lot on the GoPro (and won't be doing that much anymore! It looks terrible...I know. Sorry.) and a bit on the Red. And. . .Katie's iPhone for the surfing! hahah! Sorry!!!! But that's what she had and I'm glad she did as otherwise we'd have no footage of that. . .I don't like mucking around with GoPro's when I'm just trying to surf and have a good time. As we go we'll refine this format and if you have any feedback, please let us know. Just going by feel at the moment.

It’s a pretty good spot . Grew up camping there most holidays . The old man had an ex army Land Rover Ambulance and some dodgy tents .. epic

No , from memory we always had to camp on the other side . Planning to take the van up and camp at Teewah . Just need a back up crew in case I get stuck .. 😂😂
Ahhh ok. . . Yeah with the van on the sand, we were hesitant of that too. But we ended up in a bit of sand up in Camila that was pretty soft and pretty dry and 4L did the trick well enough without letting any air out of any of the tyres. I was surprised. :) Have to call on the the Sunseeker and Marvel lads to do another trip up there! :D

Hey Jason, yeah it was a pretty awesome day! :) We had a ball. That awning off the ute is a Bush Company 270 XT. It's super fast, so you use it a lot more than you would those fiddly roll out ones with the poles and ropes.
What took you to Oregon? Bueaitful part of the world there too!
