For those of you that are fans of Oswald Mandus' voice actor Toby Longworth, he also voices many of the audio books from the Warhammer 40k universe. His vocal inflection and ability to sound like a different person is amazing. A seriously underrated voice actor for sure.
Dude I have been going crazy trying to figure out if it was him or not😂
@sethgardner4297 it had been years since I played Machine For Pigs. I decided to play it for the first time in like 6 years while drunk earlier this year. Since then I got sucked into Warhammer 40k and the second I heard his voice I screamed I was like OMG WAIT I KNOW THIS VOICE IT CANT BE OMG IT IS.
@@michaelmiller7928 dude same. I started playing it the first in years since the first man pig video and since then I’ve gotten obsessed over 40K and was like, there ain’t no way that is Toby
The coolant in the Tesla's mouth reminds me of how people often shove an apple into a pig's mouth after it's been roasted.
It does in a way
AMFP had a lot of interesting stuff, and overall I enjoyed it.
However, the thing that always bothered me is that (if i remember right) Mandus apparently had this entire titanic machine, complex, and undead pigman army built in just 10 months.
He sure was busy then
my headcanon is that the powers of the orb helped construct it
I'm believe it took him 9 years, since that's when his wife Lilly died.
@@mr.beercan5379He did invest in mechanizing his business before his trip to mexico, however the machine in the design it is now, he only began working on after discovering the Stone Egg, likely using the already existing parts to incorporate them in the overall structure
@@umukzusgelos4834 could you show a model of the water monster in this game
3:38 Wow I never made this connection Idk why!!! Just finished playing Amnesia Rebirth for the first time recently, and aside from it being the most depressing game I've played in a while, that's gotta be Zerzura that the Tesla is teleporting back and forth from! It's possible that it could be some other random dimension, but the suggestion that this other realm is Zerzura is the best that I've seen.
The Tesla was always the most unnerving Manpig to me design-wise. Something about the thing in its mouth keeping it constantly pried open is just unsettling to me.
Their design is honestly so cool!
I like it too, it´s like a wild steam punk/frankenstein abomination with a pig head and a dynamo for an arm
@@umukzusgelos4834 yeah and the textures are pretty good. The blue veins on the legs sorta look a bit like what the ghouls have
bit shocking innit
No. Just no.
What’s he doin’ all that bloomin’ teleportin’ around for? Bit stupid really
shocking around he is indeed
@@johndoe35859, i think it/he can not control it.
Imagin my shoack
I can see where SOMA was inspired from. The blue glows, the Dynamo-like objects, the blue-glowing grille mouth
I think that's a massive stretch, it's just a pig...
This game was not developed by frictional games, so Iam sorry but while there are similarities it had 0 effect on soma.
...Sir. I don't think you understand what "inspiration" means. Inspiration means to get ideas based on something else. You can't be inspired by your own work, that's not how that works. You can only be inspired by other people's work.
They're using "inspired" correctly. They think SOMA was inspired by MFP, which was not created by Frictional, which allows them to be inspired, they're getting ideas from someone else's work.

People still talks about Amnesia ! Happy that this game is still alive, one of my favorite horror games 👍
The sound design and soundtrack in this game are phenomenal...😮
They are, especially in this encounter you can tell they really began experimenting with multilayered ambience sounds and tracks
Great videos :) thanks for all the work you put into these
Thank you so much
i love your video, keep it up man!!!🙌
Reminds me of a Big Daddy for some reason.
The blue and green colors and the machinery attached to its body, yeah they definitely look alike...
I know this make me a stupid ass blasphemer lol but I like A Machine for Pigs so much more than Dark Descent. The story with that whole pleading monologue of the Machine at the end is just chef's kiss.
nothing wrong with liking one thing more than another thing
AMFP crawled so SOMA could run
If the dark world really is the place they teleport to then frictional games made an missed opportunity to give them an cameo in rebirth.
Uh, weren't they all destroyed in a nuclear explosion?
@@williamking331It has never been confirmed that they all died so
well that would have been interesting, to find a Telsa corpse or something somewhere
Has most of the lore in A Machine for Pigs been retconned or forgotten about? A lot of it felt like really weird fan service like Oswald being related to Alexander (Somehow Alexander has a brother that had a son that was never mentioned one single time)
I think the Implication is that he is related to Daniel of Mayfair, not Alexander - his british Nationality would allow for such circumstance
my guess is that Alexander, being the secretive Figure that he is, went under the Radar of History and Oswald mistook his works for Daniels
Electro-bacon time! :)
Makin' bacon
Y el más brutal de todos
Do you have an STL file that I could look at for the Tesla Manpig? Been searching for ages.
I don´t
Ah alright have a nice day
Is the game still worth playing ?
if it´s a first time, then why not
If it’s on sale, go ahead and get it. It’s a pretty good first experience if you haven’t been spoiled.
What did I miss?
I played Amnesia Rebirth and The Bunker, Soma and only a few a machine for pigs. Ich wished the old games would have a safe mode. I assume that they are more difficult than the new games.
no, they really aren´t
They aren't.
Unlike Soma, Rebirth, and Bunker, you don't die instantly when an enemy touches you in Penumbra, TDD, or MFP.
They chase you and actually attack you, which might be easier, BUT is definitely much scarier than temporarily passing out or watching a cutscene of you dying.
I died so many times in Bunker that it was honestly not fun at all.
Not really. Hell Machine for pigs is the safest out of the Amnesia, really lacking horror element of being hunted, like only one lvl where the monster roams the rest are scripted chases scene where they despawn soon after
@@ZoofyZoofthe hell you doing in Bunker for Lambert to keep clapping you so often?
@@spinozilla2421 it took me 7 hours, 37 minutes to beat the game.
I was spotted by the stalker 58 times and died 48 times.
He is extremely unfun and his poorly developed AI ruined the game for me.
Was the lore in A Machine For Pigs mostly retconnned or forgotten about? Oswald Mandus being a great grand nephew of Alexander always felt really weird and nonsensical. So somehow Alexander who's an alien being disguising himself as a human had a brother that had a son, that was never mentioned one single time?
I believe Oswald is not related to Alexander but to Daniel of Mayfair and has mistaken the works of Alexander to be Daniels
his british heritage would allow for such and Alexander was not exactly the type of Person who would make himself known widely, so chances are with his disappearance that things got swept under the rug
@@umukzusgelos4834 Ohhh, so like he believed that Daniel was an alias of Alexander or a disguise of his because Daniel disappeared after the ending?
@@HeeHungersForHos Well it depends on what happened to Daniel afterwards and whether Alexander was even known beyond the Region surrounding Königsberg - even the locals seemed to be unfamiliar with him, so...
in my PERSONAL opinion, the worst amnesia's game
It’s still pretty good for what it was, though. Probably would’ve lowered expectations a bit if it didn’t have the Amnesia title.
