    I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use th-cam.com/users/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.

    Thanks ... I had my own property management, maintenance (repairs and lawn) and remodeling business of commercial and residential for 32 yrs ...
    back then Stihl controlled the market
    I need one for around the house now
    That it was time to retire one of those trimmers I kept when I sold the company. ( can't complain it was 24 yrs old) I have heard all 3 of these are good and am willing to give others a shot also at my age weight has to be considered.

    The Speed Head on the Echo 2620 has a wear indicator on the bottom. That head cover can be replaced. Refer to page 38 in the operators manual for the SRM-2620 Grass trimmer/ brush cutter. just a response to your minor complaint. :) I love your reviews. You are very thoughtful and sincere. Thanks for your work.

    I have an Echo SRM 4600 a 46cc beast with aluminum body not plastic rubbish. A little heavy but i love it . Easy to start and just runs like a dream. Have run 4 tanks of fuel through it one session running it at full throttle 98% of the time and it didn't miss a beat! Had it for 5 years and only replaced a starter rope and spark plug.

    Used many strimmers over many years and I have to say that my Husky 535LK is my favourite, nice weight and well balanced. Not as powerful as a dedicated brush cutter but still enough to use a clearing saw, plus all the attachments available. Pro combi's are a great if a bit expensive option but it literally does almost everything but mow!

    Here in SoCal, a lot of us use TMC weed whackers. . If you can ever get your hands on one, I recommend the TMC KPW2750V weed whacker.It uses a Kawasaki 26.3 cc engine and the best non intrusive guard on a weed whacker, and best trigger in my opinion. Cons I would say is vibration and the weight, other than it is solid and reliable. Having said that, the 2620t is an amazing machine.

    Really enjoy your channel man. Lookin forward to more videos. Question. Does the 525 have a solid shaft or flex shaft? I need to clear some light brush and my dealer told me i can't use a blade on a trimmer with a flex shaft. Ive seen numerous people use blades on trimmers such as a fs56 but they have a flex shaft. Thanks in advance

      I'm thinking of doing the same thing, but I'm gonna wait till they're completely dead ( husqvarna chainsaw , Toro blower & hedge trimmer) before I replace them. However the Husqvarna 128 curve shaft I bought 5 years ago is pure trash! I'm a xbox gamer & drummer & I'm only 35 but I'm getting some bad stiffness in my right ring & middle finger & my thumb. So if its Stihl or Echo idc I just gotta have reliability, power & most of all comfort!

      C Allen maruyama is low vibration and totally made in Japan. I love my echo 2620, but the vibration of using all day is affecting my hands. Idk why they use a stupid cable. Only con to that trimmer.
      If I could do it over, I would have got the 3020. It’s nominally heavier, and feels really balanced. Plus it is made in Japan. My uncle got one today and it was super impressive.

    Best trimmers I ever owned was my Shindaiwa T242, lightweight and the engine was like a formula 1 engine, and my Stihl FS110 for brushcutting.

    • @CNKCLAN2
      @CNKCLAN2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still have a T242 that I use every week commercially. I used it today. Had it since 2009. The old Shindaiwa models, true Shindaiwa before Echo took over, were absolutely amazing trimmers. I'm fixing to try a couple new models for fun though. Stihl 94R, Stihl 111R, and Husqvarna 525LST. I'm just really skeptical on the 111R being 4mix and I held it at the dealer and it feels really heave. 94R and 525LST feel so light, its insane.

    i just purchased the husqvarna 329L on 8/2/2020 from lowes. last year 2019 i purchased the craftsman 4cycle 30cc model; it worked good and i even bragged to my neighbor about the power and less noise with the 4 cycle engine. after storing it at end of season i pull it out in may of this year and the starter string would not pull out no more than 2 inches, finally after maybe 100 something tries, the string extended out, put new fuel in, new oil, 200 pulls no start. sat 8/1/2020 i go to lowes and get the drill bit to electric start it, after many tries with the drill and the machine seeming to want to come on i decide to go purchase another new weedwacker, thats how i ended up with the new husqvarna... i hope it last me more than one year, and i wish the plastic housing around the motor didnt look and feel so flimsy. the plastic on the craftsman felt a little more substantial.

    I'm on my second husky... the first one had it for 5 years. It wont stay on and sounds like a clattering wrenches. Idk if the rings are bad. Or if I need to replace that rusted spark arrestor or carburetor... it also got flooded it was under 3 feet of water for 3 days. Ever since then... it hasnt ran right. Dumped the gas changed the plug let it dry for 2 days... most likely the flood killed it.

    Got a buddy's Husqvarna 525 rx to fix, ignition coil should not be dead after only 3 years semi commercial use! Replacement should not be $85 to $100 either. Moved to Echo myself and have not looked back, love it. I used to run stihl but when I looked at replacing my stolen old stihl trimmer to find 25% price increase but 25% less quality I walked away.

    • @exterminator1
      @exterminator1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Guards slow us down and prevents more line from advancing. Also blocks what we see and limits the ability to trim fast.normal wear and tear from the line cutting grass etc. cuts the line.Or if you use a speed feed you can twist it back in.More line out , more production.

    Could you or someone comment on which is better; a 4-stroke like the Husqvarna 324L or the 2-stroke 525L and why? I'm just a home owner and sure either would be OK but would rather get the better of the two for performance/longevity. My local big box stores no longer have the Echo 2620T, only the 2620AA. Big Texas Ok I went to their site and saw the new grips. I’m not sure if I’ll get one or not yet. While I was trimming yesterday I thought about it and with my lightweight Husqvarna 525L I really don’t experience any discomfort in my back like I used to with the heavier home use trimmers that I started out with. But while looking at Darwin’s page I saw someone who uses waterproof covers for his trimmers and I wander if those are really needed? Sometimes I bring my trimmers in the garage when it looks like it’ll rain but often they get rained on and I don’t think it effects them much.

    • @bigtexas7580
      @bigtexas7580 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hermancm Yeah I wouldn't leave my equipment out in the rain, it promotes rust and corrosion. It's ok for them to get a little wet but you don't want to make a habit of leaving them outside.

      Shawn Kemp Personally I would go with the Echo and stay with 2 stroke, way more power and they still last if taken care of.

      @WJCTechyman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shawn Kemp The PAS/SRM2620 meets EPA regulations as of 2018, at least that's what it says on mine. The muffler is catalyzed and no scent when it's running. I went with the Echo over Stihl or Honda due to dealer proximity and service and because I have a 25 to 30 year old Echo PB210 E leaf blower that still runs beautifully.

    Great, I mean great review! I have all Husqvarna trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers, blowers, and lately I've been second guessing my line up (as in should I sell and invest in Stihl)

    You said virtually the same as the other channel. The winner is the public!!!! Competition between the three companies has produced three very very good machines at very competitive prices! It boils down to personal preference and price for the consumer... THE Consumer WINS. THIS IS CALLED CAPITALISM. OUR SYSTEM OF MARKETING WORKS THE BEST TO SUPPLY THE CONSUMER THE BEST PRODUCTS AT THE BEST PRICEs. Have good products on the shelf where they are needed... capitalism works. Go to any socialist country Cuba Russia or Venezuela they don’t have the products for the people. You must seek what you need on the black market. The people in Russia, Cuba and Venezuela are good but the socialist system fails.

    Exterminator.. I have 3 models of trimmers I'm considering. All cost the same amount of money and will be used on my 3 acre property non commercial use. Some overgrown thick weeds and brush from time to time. All models are 319$ each and after tax around 350$ which is my budget. Husqvarna 525LS, Stihl 91R, and echo 2620. All three models seem to be about the same in power. My main concern is which model of the 3 will have the least amount of vibration?? Local dealer let me demo a shinadaiwa 242 and the shaft and head shook and vibrated so bad that I returned in less than 10 min of use. I'm not really too concerned with noise levels, weight, or fuel capacity. Just want the easiest starting, less pulls the better, and least vibration model there is for my carpal tunnel wrist. What do you suggest

    • @exterminator1
      @exterminator1  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The stihl 91r is the most powerful one you mentioned as it is a 4 stroke,that stihl calls a "4mi".It is a 4 stroke that uses mixed fuel like a 2 stroke.They have almost zero vibration due to the solid steel shafts stihl uses in them(they also can take attachments).So of those 3 options I would have to choose the 91r.If you get the other two you will be happy also.But they dont accept attachments and have less torque(they are 2 strokes).

      if it was me i recommend the stihl 86, and add on the leaf gutter kit so you can just walk on the ground and clean them out for single story houses makes fall cleanup so much easier to do. that 86 is strong enough to suck up wet leafs, dry leafs it will reduce the volume a good 10*1. if they had a backpack blower that could do the same id use that in a heartbeat, makes great material for quick composting
