  • Join me on a test ride of my recently tuned 2022 BMW S1000R! I visited BHP UK in Burnley to have the ECU flashed and perform a rolling road test. This gave my bike an impressive 169whp boost. Watch as I share my thoughts and opinions on the upgraded ride. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more motovlogs!

    Looking forward to your next update after you’ve had a chance to really get on it. Seems like a good dude there, can ride a bit as well.

    Euro emissions make bikes run super lean especially on part throttle. My MT10 even keeping the cat and valve was soo much nicer to ride after a flash. Would rather fly under the radar so next mod is a drilled out cat box and flash so she’s not too loud. Just bought an early 2020 S1000R so will definitely look at a flash for it as it seems to suffer a similar affliction

    What about overall fuel economy?
    I had my gen 2 S1000R chipped and it is all that you mention and now rides like it has a cable operated throttle. Took me a few weeks to get used to the change, but my only gripe is that I'm getting about 20-30 miles less to a tank when riding with a mix of casual and fast road riding.

    need to get my headers on and mapped. I'll remove the exhaust valve, set the intake flap to always open, and disable the exhaust injection I think. doubt I'll remove all the hardware though, as it's such a big job doing that. I'll probably fit a BMC air filter at the same time though.

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  ปีที่แล้ว

      When do you plan on doing all of this then? Get it done all at the same time?

    • @lordgibbness
      @lordgibbness ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BikesofRye hey mate, think I'll install the headers and the panel filter over the winter. I'm going to try out a few end cans with the system (akra shortie and the official BMW sport can) and see which one I prefer. Then I think I'll get a custom dyno tune in the Spring once I'm happy with the setup.

    Hi, How much did it cost you to take it to them rather than them sending you the flasher? Cheers

      Best to give them a call on this one as you will no doubt want a rolling road before and after included? Me and BHPUK teamed up on this content and so I cannot give you a figure

    Does just changing the headers makes the bike more pop?

    What the benefit of removing the exhaust valve?

    • @BikesofRye
      @BikesofRye  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not entirely sure if any power is gained but the valve operates closed at lower rpm to make the bike more quiet for euro5 at least

      True for sure they run too lean. Bike performs brilliantly now in every gear throughout the rev range
