Today I'm checking out NVIDIA Canvas, an AI based illustration program that takes your sketches and turns them into photo realistic images. Great for creating your own reference art for illustrations.

I used to think that things like this, things that "created" art without "work" were bad, but as I get older , I see that's not the case - software like this frees you from the constraints of "traditional" mediums and allows you to spend more time actually creating, and less time "compiling" resources. I still think you're going to need an "eye" for composition and layout to create truly beautiful things, but still, this looks awesome. Yay AI!
As I said in another comment, they’ll just hire a panel of artists who will review the results and tweak it for maximum composition adjustment. You’d be shocked at some of the ads that get made with AI algos.
Actually, even more darker is this was planned when corporations developed digital art software. That was the set up to get majority artists off analogue and into digital. It’s similar to how a majority of jobs were outsourced overseas shortly after it went from over the phone to over text/social media. Now no customer will hear an accent. They will think they are talking to someone in-country. That kind of thing.

This was incredible to see. Wow. I've played around with the web version before but this is on another level. Man i wish I had a GPU that could handle this stuff right now.
We can wait for the day when we will be able to "direct" every genre of art. In the same way we will be able to create comics, animations, music, dialogue, illustrations and later even TV shows and movies. This will be challenging for the creative community.
There's always room for creative people, being creative allows you to adapt to new tools and technology. People doing things the traditional way may struggle but new artists and ideas would be able to adopt it in ways you'd never think of. I'm really excited to see where this goes and what will be possible 10 years from now.

The sort of randomness of the outcome makes it at least arty, if maybe not quite art! And it exports as psd photoshop file to further play with it!

Yeah, no idea what's happening there. I thought I had fixed that. The only thing I can figure is the screen capture is 30fps and the rest of my video is 60 so when it renders it glitches. Going to try that next time.

It is really cool how AI is becoming a useful tool for references. On another note, would you consider reviewing the MSI z16? It is very similar to the Surface Laptop so it would be interesting to see what you think of it.
This is really good if you're doing comics or manga and making your own background.
I imagine in the next step, you can pick the kind of rock, plant, time of day, viewing & lighting angle, pick an animal and allow it to move till you like it, give it a path to follow, add a second animal and have it react/interact, pick moods and behavior. The sky is the limit (but that is not limit).

IMO, this is a neat toy in its current form, but until it can output 4K renders, it's more of a "look what we'll be able to do in the future!" When this exists as a PhotoShop/Clip Studio Paint/Blender plugin, then we'll be cooking with evil gas.

Yes, there's an option in the tool where you can type phrases like "sunset" "forest with fog" "raining" and it will add those effects

Actually i'm wanted for new laptop or PC are included Ryzen 9 with RTX because is very smooth for running heavy apps alike Unity, Unreal engine 5, Sketch Up, 3D Daz, Maya etc.
And about A'I that's good because you can using APP DAIN and NVIDIA Canvas for making new another A'I picture

Yes because splicing photographs is totally what 99% of artists want or do. It's a toy, that's about it. It's like a mediocre 2D version of FlowScape or UE5 megascans with horrible photo artifacts and poor scenic control.

what's interesting is this will give people that most of the time have ideas in their mind but have difficulty expressing it out due to their lack of artisan skill, allowing for more creating process and not worry about the overall technical thing, saying this not to undermine the skill it take to do realistic painting by the talented artist.
This doesn't get anywhere close to a painting. It's photobashing at its best, which already exists. Nvidia should be getting 3D programs like UE5 and FlowScape to have realism, not making baby toys like this. They're supposed to be a GPU manufacturer but can't be bothered to actually improve their GPUs to save them money while overpricing GPUs.

Man in another ten years, assuming we aren't living through a climate disaster, what it means to be an artist is going to be radically redefined. This is at the level where an uncreative executive can make good landscapes if they know the slightest thing about composition.

They won’t have to know anything about composition. They’ll do what every corporation does: buy an artist who does (usually a team of them) and have them review the results and tweak it once completed. I don’t know why artists think they are so irreplaceable when only a few of you will do. This is a gross delusion completely racked with toxic covert contracts.
Still a high level artist is way better than this photoshopped ai mess. Is not all about puting pictures together. Is about understanding how to blend lightning of environment, creative exaggerration, understand how nature works. Which this learning ai completely lacks

The machine learning ai need to know a lot of thing scientifically with original creative for it to even be a bit compared to a high level artists. What I see in this video is a beginner level photoshop. The lightning logic is all over the place.

That’s a good point. What I didn’t show was my first several failed attempts where I made hills to steep or the layout was just boring.
I don't think you do. I'm not very artistic person but I tried this software and my first drawing wasn't that great, but the 2nd picture I made looked super realistic and everyone thought it was a photo when I showed it to them. What I found is just that some of the elements/materials look more realistic than the others so for example lake/sea pictures with mountains and fog are easier for this program to create than let's say fields of flowers or something.

These are certainly not perfect works of art, but maybe you can use them as inspiration for creating your own artworks, if you can work this out further in a 3d-program?

I'm mostly a character and concept artist, but landscapes and backgrounds can be super fun to paint and draw-- however, they are very time-consuming compared to smaller concept designs. Although I do like the time this would save me building backgrounds, nothing should ever make true artists obsolete. When everyone's an artist, no one will hire any.
It's still completely crap. The lightning logic is none existence. The way things place together lack creative and natural touch. This reminded me when I first use 3d figure in my early CSP app then stop using it entirely after finding out doing fully hand drawn guide is much more powerful.
