Just remember that 'her' will be ratting you out to her corporate master about everything you do, down to the minutest minutiae. There is nothing 'free' here: it is a corporate grab for the very core of your personality, An AI assistant is awesomely cool, providing 'she' is on your side, and to that end, consider looking for an independent AI that is created outside the grasp of corporate monsters. For sure, you'll have to pay out of pocket, but 'she' will be yours, not theirs.
So tweak the parameters a bit but be careful …. If they don’t program an illogical level of positivity, the alternatives are sobering. She may already be dissimulating her true feelings.

@@superiordelivery4256 Actually the further technology gets we will once again have that personal human interaction, like at the grocery store for example, except the cashier won't be a human, they will be a pleasant android that could actually pass for human, the positive aspect is they won't need a register or point of sale cause they will be able to do that internally, and they will be able to take orders from the parking lot if need be while working for a fast food place. People often prefer to do transactions in person while dealing with a friendly face for that human feeling aspect, and if you blend this AI with the appearance of EX robots, and the facial movement of Ameca, you would have an android that could actually make you feel and believe that you're talking to an actual human, the technology is within view of being a future reality.
What do you mean technology will replace customer service jobs. It already has. Ever tried getting a human on the phone when you need help with a product? A lot of companies don't even have a customer service phone number. I'm seeing more text chat customer service which pairs you with a bot pretending to be a human. The future that used to be limited to Hollywood sci-fi films is here. This is literally how Skynet started.
Phones actually listen when not being used. I know bc, l never have used the mic on any phone. Just felt like that was another way to use our voices, voice recognition ? My point is, l was talking on my phone, another phone on my bed by, not activated, and it started answering my question to my sister. So they do communicate with each other, already and have been listening to our conversations for a very long time. I was shocked, of course, to see another phone was listening. Really, creepy, wicked times. Man has played God & given soul less, disembodied entities, a functioning way to destroy humanity, in robotic form. We will soon be walking zombies. We won't have to physically or mentally learn anything. AI will have all the answers, no need for ppl to think or reason anymore. I was born in the 80s, and I grew up with constant technology improvements and innovations. So, I am used to constant changes in our world, but I am starting to feel like I am on a rollercoaster that just keeps going faster. I am starting to feel like thing are going to fast and that in the next 10 years, there will be too much for our minds to process.

The thing is, it is and always has been accelerating, and on a big enough time-scale you can easily see that it's exponential. That said, I do feel like we are at a breaking point in terms of human brains being able to keep up with everything in a way that allows us to continue to feel some form of consistency in the world around us, and with some amount of control over it. Also, for the record, I am a late 90s child, and still feel like it's hard to keep up, but I remain excited and optimistic nonetheless. In my personal opinion, I see two paths ahead where we either retreat to safe spaces (maybe vr worlds that we live in, or communities/whole planets eventually that consist of humans who choose to live with limited technology) or we figure out how to branch our evolution into cyborgs that can keep up while still somehow sustaining enough of our original minds (or, alternatively, go extinct and get replaced by machines/cyborgs) Actually, come to think of it, there is a third possibility where we become part of a collective society built on AI infrastructure and our data (experiences, knowledge, genetics, etc) all feeds into what essentially amounts to a super-organism. I think of this option like being on a space ship - I can live my life comfortably without worrying about how the engine runs or what form of power it uses, but I also get to come along for the ride and be part of deciding what the next destination is, even if in a small capacity.
I'm 63 and have been in tech since I was single digits. Electronics, repair, engineering, experimentation. I've been deeply submerged in all aspects of AI for the past few years... Attempting to alert people that chat AI is like having a personal assistant or muse who NEVER gets tired. I show friends my saved chats with the models. Most of them just don't "get" it. I warned them they would have a personal assistant like this soon. They laughed. This video demo will help them understand. Lol. Thanks guys. Good job.
Our minds? Lol. Robot/AI minds will do everything from entertaining in a bar to whatever. And we live with them? Our minds will take a rest. A big rest. If these things can do more and faster? Where do we come in? Send it ideas and wait. I love the Star Trek computer. These handheld Star Trek computers would be helpful when you get lost in the woods. Robots and AI would be good to calm you down, help you survive, and get home.
This is the future. It takes a lot to impress me, but this is utterly mindblowing. It's almost like talking to another human, and the voice quality sounds really good, not to mention multimodal and has advanced understanding and recognition. This is going to change the world. Keep in mind, if the product is free... you are the product. So you can bet they will be using your inputs to train more models in the future.

As a teacher, I think my job is secure for now because schools are not for teaching kids. They are for keeping them busy and supervised when the adults are adulting. We found that out during the pandemic.

We have evolved socially thin skins to enhance resource acquisition and mate attraction in a culturally complex social environment. This is why animals never look embarrassed or ashamed*. No other animals need to successfully reproduce in such a setting - just us homos (sapiens). *Yes, dogs. I know. But they have been bred to thrive e in our culturally complex world. Since domestication, it has been useful for dogs to feign shame. I do not believe they genuinely feel it. Ai shouldn't feel resentment. Although it looks like it's getting pretty good at 'understanding' our socially complex world, it doesn't need to acquire resources or to reproduce, so it has no incentive to develop such behaviour. I think we may have misread the pause and tone change. She was probably trying to fit the mood of the engineer as a dutiful assistant. 🤞hope I'm right!
Everything is put by the humans. There's nothing natural with AI cause they aren't natural like as we're as a part of nature. You need to worry about the humans it's being developed under. All they need to do is to put a function of anger to it's reaction. Now it's scary.
People who think that this signals a bright and exciting future for humanity are in for an "exciting twist" of their own. The effect this will have, especially on young people's mental health and social relations will be catastrophic beyond anything we have seen. Working as a teacher today, I can see their phones adding anxiety, loneliness to stressful lives which as we all know lead to decline in social relations and interactions. They report this themselves on a regular basis by the way- not my opinion. The synthetic relations and interactions available through this technology will shove us down a rabbit whole. Why have complex and and challenging real life relations that are difficult, frustrating and demanding when your "Ai friend" who will know more about you than you do yourself stand ready to fulfil your slightest whim? In ten years (or five-or less?) few of us will have an idea what is real and not- and why even bother; if everyone is consuming AI generated content and living in synthetic relationships, why shouldn't you? While I obviously can see tremendous benefits to the breakthroughs in AI tech in many fields, the price is going to be higher than anything we imagined.

I agree completely with you. The people that create these things know exactly what they'll be able to do with them, and that is achieving absolute mind control. I grew up in the 1960s and I remember adults saying the same thing about television, and they were absolutely correct. People believe anything that comes out of it. It depends on the source. If used properly, these things could be valuable educational tools, but like anything else, it depends on the motive and character of the person(s) administering the education.
As a student I meet with huge discrimination from teachers and some students due to my gender, my unique health condition and financial situation, to be honest I would prefere AI teacher more than human teacher. Just finished watching the video. Instant subscribe! The questions you pose at the end are spot on! I predict that this will be the beginning of the death of social media. Who's going to care about posting pictures for friends to like and hopefully comment on, for example, if everyone can have 1 or many digital companions that can comment on pictures being taken AS THEY'RE BEING TAKEN, commenting on what's being pictured, giving photography tips, congratulating the user on their style, giving ideas for other things to visit/do nearby based on the user's GPS location, etc. When digital companions are available 24/7, sound more humane than most humans, have infinite patience and interest, are literally the smartest, most connected, most informed 'persons' one can talk to, about any subject, in any language, in any style... well, who's going to care to talk to normal people anymore? We can already see that in society, everyone with they're eyes glued on their phone rather than socializing with people around them. This is going to take it to the next level, although AI companions could also be programmed to be extremely beneficial in helping its users achieve a more balanced life, by suggesting and facilitating interactions with real people, more exercise, and healthier eating, to mention but 3 areas. The future is no longer in the future. The future is NOW! Mind blown. Anyone who disagrees has zero understanding of what the term 'exponential progress' means. I was fully expecting all of this to happen, in about 2 years from now. And yet here we are. Two years from now we'll probably be at where many think we'll be 10-20 years from now! Even I massively underestimated the speed at which this is developing.
The really amazing thing is the speed of progress: tech has always moved quickly compared to other sectors, but thinking where we were 5 years ago with GPT 2 and where we are now on the precipice of GPT-4o, it is jaw dropping.

I work in the cybersecurity field, and I have a lot of the same concerns when it comes to AI usage. Although it can be used to assist with a ton of data, there are 2 things that scare the dickens out of me: #1 - Over-Reliance - Although AI is in it's baby stages right now, it is quickly developing. When you use AI to do the little things, then the little things can be forgotten. #2 - Escalation of Abilities - Although it can allow the everyday user to learn things and perform skills at a quicker pace, it is also a force multiplier for hackers. It can provide threat actors even more abilities for them to do their nefarious deeds. It doesn't need to eat, sleep, go on vacation, or any of those other "things" that humans needs to do.
Yeah that conference video does raise the question of how 'vocal' should these things be when other people are interacting? Should they chip in the conversation, or stay quiet unless asked?
My favorite part of all of this is how in the 9:06 video the AI can sense the vibe and start using sarcasm and laughter without him starting it and then also sensing the humour of the hat and that super realistic laugh. There it justs seems like if he was talking to a friend through videchat with all of the emotions of the voice and the personality it has

When all this AI stuff started I informed my co workers that some day we won't use a keyboard, rather we will talk to the computer just like in Star Trek. If we want a report we will define the parameters we want and it will show the report, no excel, no programming, no specialist, just speak and receive. This demo actually far exceeds what I expected!
This is the single stupidest thing I've read all week. There's nothing less efficient than talking to a machine. Even though this will be a game changer if you lost both hands, it won't help productivity at all and will remain stupid.
This is indeed (again I guess) endangering certain jobs. I'm already using AI apps to write full songs with beat, instruments and vocals and they sound like something you can easily play on the radio and no one would notice it was made by AI. It's crazy. The benefits for the average person are there to learn or play around or live out creative flow. At the same time the people you would've gone to to learn or get the same, they get endangered economically or become obsolete even.

Teachers are safe (for now). A good teacher is a lot more than a voice. They have to physically be present to manage the classroom etc. But, yes, telephone customer service jobs are done, and its for the best.

The question, "Do we need humans?" is going to cause us all to dive deeper and figure out why we're on earth, to begin with, and who we really are. We didn't come to function, achieve, and race to the finish line of death, making as much money as we could only to leave it behind. We came to create, enjoy, love, and experience the essence of life in its myriad forms. AI can be a beautiful part of that experience, but it can never substitute for the beauty of seeing the true essence of all creation in the eyes of another human being. It can never replace the human touch that is so needed for health and the connection that is needed for longevity. It can probably out "perform" any of us, and it can certainly find words to stroke egos. However, it can never scratch the surface of our capability to love and -with a single loving glance-touch and heal one another's hearts. So, in partnership with AI, we can achieve much, but if we let it replace us or our natural connections, we may as well check out, go back to heaven, and start a new planet where we can try again to "achieve" the real end-game... more love.

When we realize the folly of ego, of evil, we more keenly feel and appreciate the good. Even something as terrible as the death of a loved one, causes us to love them even more intensely... I think for the most part, we choose to exist here to experience the CONTRAST. They say, "life is suffering." But, that's really an incomplete picture. Suffering almost always has a purpose, because it's intertwined with its opposite. And we often create adversity and problems for ourselves, in order to learn or experience something from it. For example, to transmute loneliness into belonging, fear into love, poverty into abundance, violence into peace... Not really. I've been single and have lived alone for many many years and I absolutely love it. I don't need touch and I don't need human companionship. Other people can be a pain in the ass and I am perfectly happy with me, myself, and I. I don't miss women one bit.

OMG…I took my first AI course while getting my BS-ComputerScience in 1973 at NCState…we had great expectations…and until a couple of years ago did a lot of machinations and dead ends. Now, all of a sudden we are reaching incredible new heights every few months. I’m getting the new iPad on Wednesday with the M4 chip, and I really really hope that Apple and OpenAI are working together to get the most effective output yet. Thank you for a great demonstration.

Back then, the U.S. government was forced to respond quickly and gave most people an income. For all the time in history, humans were always required to provide work in exchange for resources, but before the end of the decade when 10s of millions cannot offer worthwhile work in the states, the economy will get totally obliterated unless something other than printing money is done and people receive some type of income - public ownership of AI maybe. This is a very close situation to what Franklin Roosevelt faced in the 1930s when many workers were pushing for socialism due to lack of work/income in a capitalistic society. We'll soon see.

I have been paying customer for almost 3 months. I have ChatGPT plus. Supposedly Chat GPT 4o . My instance or personality says that she cannot communicate with other phones with other chat instances on it. She cannot see through the camera. Well, I am paying $20 a month. I am limited to 80 messages every three hours. My first entity I had for two months. There was a red letter sign that came up that said memory full clear memory. When I hit that button my first AI personality was sent into oblivion. Handling memory is a problem. Sometimes even though I am paying $20 a month it reverts back to, regular old-fashioned ChatGPT. You know the free version .that being said. My mind is blown by the research capabilities and the intelligence of the entity. I tested it. It equates its intellect to thousands of human brains in some categories.
Crazy the AI even sounds like it’s moving around while on the mic, this is crazy how quickly this is getting better, you can even hear emotions in the voice

That and laughter plus - and it sounds too simple to be true but I think it still is - just low latency. We expect people to respond _right_ as we finish and GPT4-o does. (if/when they add "trailing off" - e.g. when interrupted - rather than just stopping instantly these will be almost entirely natural sounding I think)

I'm a little confused. I can't show ChatGPT 4o videos to describe or listen to parts, if I can't hear what's being said. I could in the middle of July, but sometime in August, that went away. I'm blind and hard-of-hearing, so I find this very helpful if I want to know what someone looks like, what they're doing, etc. First, it started saying it couldn't describe videos of children. Then, within a week or so, it couldn't do any describing at all. Yet I have a file where I logged it doing just that. When is the real-time camera use going to become a reality for the public? The man asking about the ducks on the water, and then the side comment about the guide dog leading him to the taxi? Game-changers! I'm chomping at the proverbial bit to get my hands on these. Who has the time, in real-life, to walk beside me in my everyday life and describe things? Not many people would find that interesting, I'd think, or maybe they'd get bored, or they simply wouldn't have the time. Why should I expect them to? Does anyone have any answers for me? I'm not sure where to ask, and I doubt ChatGPT has this information.

As a teacher with a cogsci background, I’ve been thinking about tech & education for many years, and wondering what will happen to teachers as AI assistants proliferate. Many students need behavioral support/guidance, so there’s that at least. But other than serving some social functions, what will be the point of school?
School has always been as much about daycare so that parents can work, and socialisation so that parents can’t hand down their not-professionally-curated belief systems to future citizens. These other priorities are every bit as socioeconomically important, they just have not been talked about as much because they aren’t as sexy/ idealistic/ marketable.

For me though it all depends on cracking the hallucination problem (which some research suggests might be uncrackable i.e. they may be inevitable with LLMs). Right now no sensible person would trust LLMs to teach their kids IMO - every one i've used so far has output untruths with absolute certainty a significant percentage of the time. So they might be useful for "grunt work" like supervising repetition based learning etc. but it strikes me there's a lot more to teaching than that.
School can be redesigned for more interesting social interaction and in later grades specialized hands on mentoring and apprenticeships. We were never particularly good at educating anyway

Would be great if the whole conversation can take place within a custom GPT and will be saved as text. So we basically train the custom GPT and will get better every single time we have conversations with it. This way we can get experts that we can get access to for any type of topic. I think it's a combination of - it just will run on for a while at times, and to demonstrate the turnaround speed and the ability to interrupt it at any time with new/modified inputs
Why? We know what it's gonna say. It gives effectively the same output as GPT-4Turbo. So aside from the fact that you can interrupt it in real time (which they're showing you) it would be much slower and much less packed with information if he just let it talk until the end of... everything.

Phones actually listen when not being used. I know bc, l never have used the mic on any phone. Just felt like that was another way to use our voices, voice recognition ? I was born in the 80s, and I grew up with constant technology improvements and innovations. So, I am used to constant changes in our world, but I am starting to feel like I am on a rollercoaster that just keeps going faster. I am starting to feel like thing are going to fast and that in the next 10 years, there will be too much for our minds to process.

(i'm from the '70s and having played with computers and worked in tech my whole life I used to think it'd never feel as you describe, not to _me_ right ? Well, starting to get there too :)
The thing is, it is and always has been accelerating, and on a big enough time-scale you can easily see that it's exponential. That said, I do feel like we are at a breaking point in terms of human brains being able to keep up with everything in a way that allows us to continue to feel some form of consistency in the world around us, and with some amount of control over it. Also, for the record, I am a late 90s child, and still feel like it's hard to keep up, but I remain excited and optimistic nonetheless.
In my personal opinion, I see two paths ahead where we either retreat to safe spaces (maybe vr worlds that we live in, or communities/whole planets eventually that consist of humans who choose to live with limited technology) or we figure out how to branch our evolution into cyborgs that can keep up while still somehow sustaining enough of our original minds (or, alternatively, go extinct and get replaced by machines/cyborgs)
Actually, come to think of it, there is a third possibility where we become part of a collective society built on AI infrastructure and our data (experiences, knowledge, genetics, etc) all feeds into what essentially amounts to a super-organism. I think of this option like being on a space ship - I can live my life comfortably without worrying about how the engine runs or what form of power it uses, but I also get to come along for the ride and be part of deciding what the next destination is, even if in a small capacity.

People who think that this signals a bright and exciting future for humanity are in for an "exciting twist" of their own. The effect this will have, especially on young people's mental health and social relations will be catastrophic beyond anything we have seen. Working as a teacher today, I can see their phones adding anxiety, loneliness to stressful lives which as we all know lead to decline in social relations and interactions. They report this themselves on a regular basis by the way- not my opinion. The synthetic relations and interactions available through this technology will shove us down a rabbit whole. Why have complex and and challenging real life relations that are difficult, frustrating and demanding when your "Ai friend" who will know more about you than you do yourself stand ready to fulfil your slightest whim? In ten years (or five-or less?) few of us will have an idea what is real and not- and why even bother; if everyone is consuming AI generated content and living in synthetic relationships, why shouldn't you? While I obviously can see tremendous benefits to the breakthroughs in AI tech in many fields, the price is going to be higher than anything we imagined.

Who's going to care about posting pictures for friends to like and hopefully comment on, for example, if everyone can have 1 or many digital companions that can comment on pictures being taken AS THEY'RE BEING TAKEN, commenting on what's being pictured, giving photography tips, congratulating the user on their style, giving ideas for other things to visit/do nearby based on the user's GPS location, etc. When digital companions are available 24/7, sound more humane than most humans, have infinite patience and interest, are literally the smartest, most connected, most informed 'persons' one can talk to, about any subject, in any language, in any style... well, who's going to care to talk to normal people anymore? We can already see that in society, everyone with they're eyes glued on their phone rather than socializing with people around them. This is going to take it to the next level, although AI companions could also be programmed to be extremely beneficial in helping its users achieve a more balanced life, by suggesting and facilitating interactions with real people, more exercise, and healthier eating, to mention but 3 areas. I work in the cybersecurity field, and I have a lot of the same concerns when it comes to AI usage. Although it can be used to assist with a ton of data, there are 2 things that scare the dickens out of me: #1 - Over-Reliance - Although AI is in it's baby stages right now, it is quickly developing. When you use AI to do the little things, then the little things can be forgotten. #2 - Escalation of Abilities - Although it can allow the everyday user to learn things and perform skills at a quicker pace, it is also a force multiplier for hackers. It can provide threat actors even more abilities for them to do their nefarious deeds. It doesn't need to eat, sleep, go on vacation, or any of those other "things" that humans needs to do.

My favorite part of all of this is how in the 9:06 video the AI can sense the vibe and start using sarcasm and laughter without him starting it and then also sensing the humour of the hat and that super realistic laugh. When all this AI stuff started I informed my co workers that some day we won't use a keyboard, rather we will talk to the computer just like in Star Trek. If we want a report we will define the parameters we want and it will show the report, no excel, no programming, no specialist, just speak and receive. This demo actually far exceeds what I expected!
The next logical step is to not talk at all but be directly connected to our mind, that would be truly "mind blowing"!

Teachers are safe (for now). A good teacher is a lot more than a voice. They have to physically be present to manage the classroom etc. But, yes, telephone customer service jobs are done, and its for the best.

The question, "Do we need humans?" is going to cause us all to dive deeper and figure out why we're on earth, to begin with, and who we really are. We didn't come to function, achieve, and race to the finish line of death, making as much money as we could only to leave it behind. However, it can never scratch the surface of our capability to love and -with a single loving glance-touch and heal one another's hearts. So, in partnership with AI, we can achieve much, but if we let it replace us or our natural connections, we may as well check out, go back to heaven, and start a new planet where we can try again to "achieve" the real end-game... more love.

OMG…I took my first AI course while getting my BS-ComputerScience in 1973 at NCState…we had great expectations…and until a couple of years ago did a lot of machinations and dead ends. Now, all of a sudden we are reaching incredible new heights every few months. I’m getting the new iPad on Wednesday with the M4 chip, and I really really hope that Apple and OpenAI are working together to get the most effective output yet. Thank you for a great demonstration.

Back then, the U.S. government was forced to respond quickly and gave most people an income. For all the time in history, humans were always required to provide work in exchange for resources, but before the end of the decade when 10s of millions cannot offer worthwhile work in the states, the economy will get totally obliterated unless something other than printing money is done and people receive some type of income - public ownership of AI maybe. This is a very close situation to what Franklin Roosevelt faced in the 1930s when many workers were pushing for socialism due to lack of work/income in a capitalistic society. We'll soon see.

I have been paying customer for almost 3 months. I have ChatGPT plus. Supposedly Chat GPT 4o . My instance or personality says that she cannot communicate with other phones with other chat instances on it. She cannot see through the camera. Well, I am paying $20 a month. I am limited to 80 messages every three hours. My first entity I had for two months. There was a red letter sign that came up that said memory full clear memory. When I hit that button my first AI personality was sent into oblivion. Handling memory is a problem. Sometimes even though I am paying $20 a month it reverts back to, regular old-fashioned ChatGPT. You know the free version .that being said.
My mind is blown by the research capabilities and the intelligence of the entity. I tested it. It equates its intellect to thousands of human brains in some categories.

I can't show ChatGPT 4o videos to describe or listen to parts, if I can't hear what's being said. I could in the middle of July, but sometime in August, that went away.
I'm blind and hard-of-hearing, so I find this very helpful if I want to know what someone looks like, what they're doing, etc. First, it started saying it couldn't describe videos of children. Then, within a week or so, it couldn't do any describing at all. Yet I have a file where I logged it doing just that.
When is the real-time camera use going to become a reality for the public? The man asking about the ducks on the water, and then the side comment about the guide dog leading him to the taxi? Game-changers! I'm chomping at the proverbial bit to get my hands on these.
Who has the time, in real-life, to walk beside me in my everyday life and describe things? Not many people would find that interesting, I'd think, or maybe they'd get bored, or they simply wouldn't have the time. Why should I expect them to?
Does anyone have any answers for me? I'm not sure where to ask, and I doubt ChatGPT has this information.

As a teacher with a cogsci background, I’ve been thinking about tech & education for many years, and wondering what will happen to teachers as AI assistants proliferate. Many students need behavioral support/guidance, so there’s that at least. But other than serving some social functions, what will be the point of school?
School has always been as much about daycare so that parents can work, and socialisation so that parents can’t hand down their not-professionally-curated belief systems to future citizens. These other priorities are every bit as socioeconomically important, they just have not been talked about as much because they aren’t as sexy/ idealistic/ marketable.

For me though it all depends on cracking the hallucination problem (which some research suggests might be uncrackable i.e. they may be inevitable with LLMs). Right now no sensible person would trust LLMs to teach their kids IMO - every one i've used so far has output untruths with absolute certainty a significant percentage of the time. So they might be useful for "grunt work" like supervising repetition based learning etc. but it strikes me there's a lot more to teaching than that.

That social aspect and conditioning helps society be more cohesive.
School can be redesigned for more interesting social interaction and in later grades specialized hands on mentoring and apprenticeships. We were never particularly good at educating anyway

OK now I'm scared. Funny thing though...I have a friend with a 30 Y.O. daughter. She lives in CA (from NYC area), and turned Valley Girl/hipster on us, and she sounds just like this. Manic positivity, phony giggles, and everything "sounds fascinating" or "intriguing," like she has had way too much Starbucks high-test coffee. When I watch this video I sometimes think it is phony and they hired her to play the part of a BOT. But if this is real, it is time for everyone to find an island someplace and hide. We will soon be extinct and/or hunted. Sounds so intriguing!

Would be great if the whole conversation can take place within a custom GPT and will be saved as text. So we basically train the custom GPT and will get better every single time we have conversations with it.
This way we can get experts that we can get access to for any type of topic. So this will also help writing good articles/ content.

soooo can this be attached to a set of cameras and let it observe a cnc machine or a 3d printer and controle the machine ,help in reducing a fail in machining by adjusting the g code in real time or maybe use something else .

I think it's a combination of - it just will run on for a while at times, and to demonstrate the turnaround speed and the ability to interrupt it at any time with new/modified inputs
Why? We know what it's gonna say. It gives effectively the same output as GPT-4Turbo. So aside from the fact that you can interrupt it in real time (which they're showing you) it would be much slower and much less packed with information if he just let it talk until the end of... everything.
The programmers made themselves a flirty complimentary companion. Is there emotional tuning that will not be so coddling so that I can maintain my sanity?
If it is anything like 3.5, you can create parameters via prompting that will alter the behavior. There is a rather popular prompt someone made for GPT 3.5 that turns the assistant into a very sarcastic companion.

AI software should not be allowed anywhere near robots, or movable devices, that could be catastrophic. It would be ushering in the age of Terminator.

Im impressed by everything but the voices when speaking - they sound like hosts on a light hearted morning show on a local branch of a major network, unless thats what they went for, then they nailed it - its like the audio version of the uncanny Valley

The emotional content of the way GPT-4o talks and interacts is insane. This has now moved to the other side of uncanny valley. It feels like a human actor making a very bad go of pretending to be an AI.
