About the app:
Use AI to turn simple brushstrokes into realistic landscape images. Create backgrounds quickly, or speed up your concept exploration so you can spend more time visualizing ideas.
HARNESS THE POWER OF AI
Paint simple shapes and lines with a palette of real world materials, like grass or clouds. Then, in real-time, our revolutionary AI model fills the screen with show-stopping results. Don’t like what you see? Swap a material, changing snow to grass, and watch as the entire image changes from a winter wonderland to a tropical paradise. The creative possibilities are endless.
PICK YOUR PALETTE
NVIDIA Canvas lets you customize your image so that it’s exactly what you need. Canvas has nine styles that modify the look and feel of a painting and fifteen different materials ranging from sky and mountains to river and stone. Paint on different layers to keep elements separate. You can start from scratch, or get inspired by one of the sample scenes.
Once you’ve created your ideal image, Canvas lets you import your work into Adobe Photoshop so you can continue to refine it or combine with other artwork.

I didn't expect ScrapMan to do stuff like this lol
Me neither
i just hoped he would do this but didnt expect it either and im the 69th like
yeah same
this is fun I want more of this (I typed this at nine am)
but it’s still good
Mom: we have masterpiece at home
Masterpiece at home:
LMAO
Lol
Should have made his logo and see how the AI interpreted it
YESSSS I AGREE
shouldn't be that hard until u realise that cloud* and stone wall are the 2 colors
would be interesting, but i know it's way better at landscape
Should’ve made my face and seen how the AI broke from the ugliness
@@ckinggaming5bucketmadness766 ikr, I dont even have mirrors at home bc of that
Yo, I could troll my friends in photography saying I went on vacation and saw nonexistent places :p
maybe 1 day xD
Ten or fifteen years ago I remember reading about a "learn filter" algorithm which was probably the ancestor of this. You could colour-code a photograph for trees, water, sky, clouds and so on, then teach the filter that the colour-coded version was the "before" and the photograph the "after", and from then on you could proceed very much as you have here. It has, of course, come on astonishingly in the intervening years.
so, like a photographic version of how map generation in videogames work?
Finally I'll be able to explain my dreams to others
What is your dream
and not with a stickman
Good luck
I have strange dreams I know what the feeling
yeah
I once had a dream that Steve from Minecraft and I were tap-dancing on my grandpa while throwing hundred dollar bills into a fire while singing the national anthem in Korean
artist: no one can beat our outstanding art skills
Nvidia: what about AI?!
Still has no soul like real things
Imagine using this for 2D games!
yaaaaas bro all i gotta do is get a rtx card niw =
It could be revolutionary
@@john.s1962 first they would have to solve how to make the different planes/layers into 3D to give it depth and a way to track in that 3D enviroment.
5:27
If it weren’t for that tree in the middle I could’ve assumed this was a real place if shown the picture
I tried this and the AI thought it best to un-install itself.
"Everyone with an RTX graphics card can use this"
Me with my 800 dollar pc: *sad noices*
I have an $800 PC (laptop but shush) with an RTX graphics card
@@Donke267 And what CPU?
I have an $800 laptop with a Ryzen 7 4700 and an RTX 2060. I've been waiting almost a year now to get an RTX GPU for my pc.
I remember using the browser based version of this and it didn't need RTX lol.
@@valderon3692 That price for those components sound a bit off but aight
“who can survive without water the longest”
umm, sir, SIR
I was looking for this comment... XD
Miss you, stickman drawings.
I'm very glad I have an RTX card, I've been playing around with this program for a while now and it's absolutely amazing!
I think it's kind of fun that scrapman is mixing up his content a little. Very entertaining 😁
I actually loved this video, I think it would be great to do more stuff with it or similar programs, or even just come back to it in a while to see how the machine learning aspect has developed!
Idea: Evolving battle ships every round you can add a turret and a set number of parts or battle ships v bombers
Yeah
Spins cool
I usually watch youtubers like Pewds,Jack, welyn, dream and the doo. but you are by far my favorite youtuber. your hard work does not go unnoticed. thank you
ScrapMan, Honestly... ID REALLY LOVE TO SEE MORE OF THIS ON THE CHANNEL!!!
I follow you because of the experience of the games (like Scrap Mechanic). But I really love this type of videos too! Make more! :)
I like those video its very interesting to discover new ai stuff with you!
Love the channel keep it up!! ☺️👍
when it comes to art the big thing to keep in mind is fine motor controls paired with a solid knowledge of your tools and subject.
you're art is in the 3D builder rhelm ;)
There are 1by1 wedges in scrap mechanic survival you get them by blowing off the stairs near the elevators in warehouses and transporting them outside where you can delete them
#allhailthewedge
Unrelated to the video but ok
@@sentienttoast1319 scrapman said that it would be nice to have 1by1 wedges in survival

Oooooooooo....this is gonna be interesting! Thanks for the heads up on this software:) Definitely gonna try this. I'll be interesting to see how the AI interprets detailed drawings:) Peace holmes:)
ye
What? I never thought u would do this lol, but I mean, I've seen this before from Draw With Jazza, but I never expected from you! Cool!
I reallly enjoy this type of content I would love to see more of this
Do more of this. This was cool to watch
That's amazing!
Pity it only seems to be for landscapes for now.
I could see this working great as a plugin for Photoshop.
Take an existing photo or graphic and selectively paint the AI over sections, maybe with target options like "add/remove age", "increase / decrease focus" Etc.
Even the ability to try your best at a realistic portrait and let AI retouch it to almost photo like.
Except it would be visual context based, rather then material based.
i really like this lol. you should put drawings of viewers in this programm if its possible, would be fun for a video
15:31 - His "fascinating" is on par with Owen Wilson's "wow"
Ok this is just insane when it's good, and hilariously bad when it's not. Very impressive though.
Canvas seems quite awesome!
(EDIT) I'm learning to make video games as we speak right now and this seems pretty good for concept images.
This is so cool, we need a new video! What about making Scrap Mechanic Survival landscapes to see what it would look in real life?
Next up: AI draws I build.
Looks like a great tool to create skybox terrain in the background for own games.
I wish this had more complexity to allow you to make other things than just landscapes. I would want to make city’s, towns, farms, and roads.
This would be really useful for creating imagery to show the players of a dnd campaign the way the area looks
I was thinking the same thing.
Great video! There's also another web image software that uses AI to make great drawings/images called Artbreeder. It that allows you to breed different images together and manipulate them with AI to create some nice images. If you, Scrap Man or the reader of this comment, likes AI stuff I would highly recommend Artbreeder.
Try mixing apple with dog
Hey scrapping I got trailblazers cause of u and I love it!
Amazing!!
Wow, it's incredible... Now I'm sad that I have a radeon card... Next upgrade will be an rtx card, for sure. Thanks for showing us this Scrap, it's really nice!
I recommend rtx 3060 if budget,if not then go as high as possible lol
This is seriously impressive.
Good video scrapman
Good video scrapman I can finally draw 😂
10:07 "I didn't think it was gonna read into this that good"
That's because it's listening ;).
Day 167 of asking scrapman to do : we searched for "normal" on the workshop for perfectly normal
creations!
The creations took their normal pills
@@nvcbl but is it really the normal pills? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
More of this please!
Awesome!
In the next update there's gonna probs be a building tool and a sky scraper tool
OMG THIS IS SO COOL!

Could you do a playthrough on Subnautica please?
Amazing idea

a surprising video about an even more surprising program
That is unbelievable look so real
16:13 that's just a daytime picture of the original, you can't fool me
Now this is what everyone in the 80' expected AI to be in 2021
5.56 ayo that mountain looking sua
Sus
You never fool me at the start I already saw The Nvidia canvas
I wonder if you could take a picture and run it through an algorithm, making it the colors that are used in the program and then see if it can recreate it
this is getting more interesting! huh!
1:35 Ayo scrapmans movin mad, he kinda drew a dong in the drawing

Me: mom? Can we get bob ross?
Mom: no, we have bob ross at home…
Bob Ross at home:
pretty nice vidéo, its change from construction games
this needs to be a series where Scrapman makes people's dumb ideas from the contracts
I've seen a few people trying this out now and although it's definitely cool and for those of us who have no artistic skill whatsoever it's going to be useful, it's very clear that to create something that truly looks believable, you still need to have some artistic talent. Otherwise it's very clear that it was generated by an ai.
I can see this in some dystopian future where all art has been reduced to extremely cheap AI generated images that all has about as much meaning as the wallpaper in your bathroom, and real art no longer exists at all.
this is mind blowing. what a age we live in!
The one dislike is an artist who draws photo-realistic fictional landscapes, suddenly about to lose their job.
this content was unexpected but i love it lol
These is so cool scrap man try making you self
Maybe make this a YDIB series?
I would like an ep2 :)
Recreate a scrap mechanic landscape in the invida paint
Very creative way to flex that you have RTX
now you need to do a Bob Ross challenge with this
More please and thank you
it would be cool if you made this in to a series
for me atleast naaahhhh

In a nutshell: Scrapman creates Liminal Images
This was cool
Wow 🤯
oh god didn;t expect this
“Whoever can survive without water the longest” lol everyone else would be dead.
I think this is amazing
Finally got an RTX, bought it JUST for Canvas
There should be a lens option and an option to add things manually.
Wooo!
are we sure this is OUR ScrapMan?
Wow. Just wow
Feels like an artbreeder image
the most subtile flex owning a RTX Card. not bad :D
This seems amazing for creating liminal spaces
When I saw this I thought it was click bait but I remember that Scrapman does not do click bait
hey can you tell me where to get an rtx geforce? or an emulator?
10 mins ago yay early and i tink scrapman wish he can draw like that
I never thought Scrapman would do a video on a game without physics.
He still hasn't? I don't actually know, I haven't looked through his entire history on the channel.
