Great reaction! Beth Hart HAS had her share of difficulties! She's the ultimate survivor! There is a documentary about Beth. You can find it on TH-cam. A lot of the Blues is ad-lib but that doesn't mean time is spared on the arrangement and rehearsals. When you know a song backwards and forwards, and trust your fellow musicians, it gives an artist the freedom to improvise!
Bought this DVD many years ago, Beth is something else, it's an emotional roller coaster. you just have to watch "Leave the light on" Great reaction Anastasia.
I also stumbled across Beth years ago. Was completely blown away and bought this DVD as well. I believe she wrote this song when she was just 16. To see her live is #1 on my bucket list.

oh yessss Beth on Great Gig in the Sky.. would be it!! thank you for your reactions and your feelings to this song! To me, you nail it and you feel it! and yes, its orgasmic for sure.. all i can say: Gentlemen, step back. Here comes Beth Hart.
Beth Hart was classically trained in music school for voice and cello when she was a teen, although she primarily plays piano on stage (and also guitar and bass). And she's not just a blues singer, she also sings rock, hard rock, soul and a little bit of jazz.
There is another live version of this song with different band mates, that is really hard core and earlier on in her career that gives you an idea of how far she has come physically as well as mentally . Thank God she made it else the world wouldn't have been blessed with what has come since. A great artist, one who deserves all the recognition she gets and should get!!! If you have a minute, check out this lesser viewed version, you'll be amazed. P. S. She is also a former Star Search contest winner!!!
It actually takes a fair amount of courage to allow yourself the freedom to just be IN the moment with a song….follow wherever your soul takes you in that moment in time. Robert Plant is this way. And so is Beth Hart. Another very sensual performance by a female singer is Grace Potter covering Gold Dust Woman with Warren Haynes and the Gov’t Mule band. Darkly sensual.
She has definitely had personal struggles . Her song "Leave The Light On" is about her struggles . The version live at the Royal Albert Hall is amazing and she is also playing the piano . Just her and the piano and a few thousand people in awe .
Thank you so much for reacting to one of my suggestions after your last Beth Hart video. Beth is also classically trained since age 4. She started with the piano and later added cello and guitar. This entire concert is amazing. She also has some real rockin songs at this concert. Please react to "Immortal", "Broken & Ugly", "Get Your Shit Together", "I Don't Need No Doctor", "Whole Lotta Love", and at the piano "Mama", "Leave the Light On", "Monkey Back" all at Live at Paradiso! I believe I gave you other songs last time like Beth Hart "Caught out in the Rain" live at Royal Albert Hall, Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa "Somethings Got a Hold On Me" live in Amsterdam. There are so many more but this is a great start. Love your reactions!! Please continue reacting to Beth.
Hey I am a singer/songwriter of my original hard rock band and I just came across your channel tonight. I have seen this performance and she is such a great singer and I love that she feels the music and breaths the music and I believe every single word she is singing. When you said that you want a bit of what she has, you can get that I am sure of it. You got another subscriber, great reaction too. Has anyone every told you that you look a bit like Alissa White - Gluz.
I have seen so many reaction videos but you are tge best...I just loved your knowledge and still being honest and humble. 💖.. And you speak at fhe right time, right numbers of time, right duration snd meaningful...
I am so excited to so you react to Beth and how marveled you are of her as I was when I first discovered her. You need to see what an accomplished pianist she is as well, and react to the song (MAMA) from this very same show "Iive at Paradiso". Her voice is just as powerful but controlled as she was in this song, but her piano abilities are just as impressive. By the way she plays the Bass and guitar as well in her live shows.
Beth is not just a blues singer, she can rock the house. She and Joe Bonamassa did a version of Tina Turner's Nutbush and she just came out with a tribute album of Led Zeppelin songs. But whatever she is performing, she wears her emotions on her sleeve, so to speak, for all of the world to see and hear. You did a great reaction to both this song and her "I'd rather go blind", an Etta James cover. Like you mentioned at the end of this reaction, she must have lived through some things. That she did. She had a very tough childhood with an abusive father and then headed down the path of hard drugs and rehab. In fact, this concert was not long after one of her rehab stays. But through it all, she has had her musical talent. Long before there was such a thing as American Idol, there was a show called Star Search, which was a national competition. She won that show singing this song that she wrote on her own. I love her music because of the raw emotion that she can add to it and her precise control.
Her father wasn't "abusive" (in the usual way)---it's just that he divorced her mom and abandoned the family. (She had a great relationship with him up to about age 5). She's spent her whole life trying recapture the love of her father and getting into abusive relationships with other men along the way. When she sings "I'd Rather Go Blind" (not her song), she is thinking of her father. She wrote the song "Tell Her You Belong to Me" about her father. To me, he's seems like a real asshole, but she's had a very good relationship with him for the past 10 to 15 years so. But it is not correct to say he was (physically) abusive to her.
You have to admit she metals up the Blues! Yes she's been through a lot of stuff and check out she just did a cover album of Led Zeppelin music. Definitely check out the work she did with Joe Bonamassa there's two online that have been covered a lot with other reactions and it's I'd rather go blind and I'll take care of you

Just found your channel, I'm a huge Beth Hart fan and I had the same reaction you're having now the first time I saw this. And yes, she's been through a lot of shit in her life including alcohol abuse, drug abuse, mental health issues ( of which she has been very forthcoming about). Have fun this is a great rabbit hole!
Learning more about Beth is worth it. She has been through a lot and wjen she performs it's like she's dancing on the edge of madness where emotions are so raw. I absolutely love her but I can't listen to her often.
You need to check out her doing Black Dog from Led Zeppelin. She is the ultimate female rock and blues frontman. I felt a lot of a Steven Tyler vibe in that one. Insane stage presence.
This video is at least 15 years old. Maybe 18. I think it came out in 2004. Beth was a very different person back then. She was touring Europe after almost blowing her career in the US for all kinds of drug issues. She lost her recording contract. And the best decision she ever made was to get out of LA. The people of Europe were what she needed to turn herself around. Beth's Career will make a hell of a movie one day. She is the greatest performer that nobody knew for such a long time. Welcome to the world of Beth Hart.
Oh and I forgot to say she just released a Tribute to Led Zeppelin Album and it's fantastic, and the gentleman who helped her on stage was her husband.
The girl Beth was singing to were friends of her's. It was the girl's birthday & her boyfriend left her so Beth made sure to give her a birthday treat to remember.
I fully understand the structure thing. Ad the lead guitarist in our band, I too was classically taught, and when im soloing I've got to know what I'm playing, and when or I freeze up, or resort to running a blues scale, and it can sound rather generic if i haven't worked through what I'm gonna play. I wish I had this level freedom. Our rhythm guitarist does some soloing on some songs, and he wasn't classically trained, so he has more freedom, and he'll hit some notes soloing off key, but the freedom makes it sound good even off key. I kinda get jealous sometimes of that freedom to just play you, and not the music. Loved this reaction!
I told you this would be the most out-there performance you've ever seen. Yes, you got it right, Beth has been through some stuff. A lot of bad stuff. This concert happened just as she was coming out of rehab after a really low point in her life.

I've been a fan of Beth all the way back when she won best female vocalist on the American talent show "Star Search" in 1996. She has a lot of amazing songs. My two favorite performances include, another one from live at the Paradiso, "Immortal." It is more of a straight rock song and when I listen to that song I always feel like this is what you would get if Robert Plant and Janis Joplin had a baby. lol The other one is "Caught Out in the Rain" at the Royal Albert Hall.
This is one of those performances that we have been lucky enough to witness on film. It's one I keep going back to, along with two Gary Moore clips (The Messiah Comes Again Live At Montreux & Red House Live At The Strat Pack Concert), Rush's Xanadu live from 1980, and Floyds Comfortably Numb from 1994. Love the reaction, and chuffed to see you're going down the rabbit hole of Beth. A perfect combination would have been Gary Moore performing with Beth live, as he played every single note from the heart. He sadly passed away in 2011 though. Joe's performances with Beth are excellent though. Happy viewing. If you like incredible solo's check out Gary some time, you will not be disappointed. :-)

Heck yeah....you did it....thank you... My favorite reaction ever...your line about just having sex, nailed it....lol yes one of sexiest videos ever... and my favorite moment ,was her drop the mic ..where she just pushed mic stand away turned and walked away owning the place.....your reaction to that was priceless...you got it..your beautiful and great smile as always

And Beth by herself - “Caught Out In The Rain” th-cam.com/video/lzdJf7Hqttk/w-d-xo.html - Enjoy! And you are correct… she’s been through some real shit! I could take you down a deep blues rabbit hole that you wouldn’t want to come back from.
Beth Hart - Live @ Paradiso (Complete) th-cam.com/play/PLSpdUkslupy3t_Bv0TJHfyE_kwe3bEk5p.html this link will tell you that you are leaving TH-cam but you are not. It take you to a fan’s channel that put all the songs from Paradiso in a playlist. A must watch, for a full taste of her talent. Most of the show is rock. She is a beast.
this concert was supposed to be MUCH smaller and it was her re-entry back into the business after her drug use caused her labels to drop her. She was clean for 18 months before the concert. The venue sold out the other place, kept selling tickets and rented this place....so her gratitude is genuine. Her guitarist is still worth her and I think is better than Bonomassa with her.
Here's an exercise for you to try. Setup your phone (or camera) to record and then just ignore it. Then sing one of your favorite songs but don't think about your singing. Just imagine you are all alone in your room or in the shower and just sing what you feel. Don't make it karaoke or a rehearsed stage performance. Just sing what comes to you. Do this a few times. Then watch it back and see what you learn from the exercise. You may just find that it's just confidence in trusting your gut and feelings rather than structure.
If you want to let it go, let it go. It's exactly the same as when you trained classically. It's like a muscle. The more you use it, the better you get at it. Singing free doesn't come naturally, either. It takes practice to gain the confidence to let go and sound really good. I think it can be more rewarding. Your audience will feel you're more genuine.
So you're going down the Beth Hart hole? You won't be disappointed.I'm a huge fan. Try leave the light on at the royal Albert hall she tells a little about herself. The song is so me.
Why the heck is there such a fixation on this one of Beth's show in 1st 2 showings of her stuff? She has so much depth and tons of other stuff to view also from intimate small settings to larger venues with her playing piano and or guitar and singing. This one is good but most people assu e she is high on drugs etc. Folks it is an act. And it is how she feels the music and such a people person. The girl she is singing to in crowd is her good friend....she was classically trained on piano
Because it is a great performance. They were planned to be at the small podium but there were so much people buying tickets they were upgraded to the big stage.
...because it's phenomenal and there's not another performance like it...right, once you're blown away by this, you find it's just the beginning. Not sure what you mean by "Folks it is an act"--this is NOT an act, this is just BH doing what she does and she innovates on the spot. The girl in the crowd is NOT a friend--she's a 17 year old fan, there with her family (her mom is the one taking pictures), and she's been to many BH concerts.
Guitarists fixate on great performances by some guitarists because they wish they could be like that guitarist. It's rare to find a singer that can perform like singers wish to perform.
At Royal Albert Hall Caught Out in The Rain is another epic Beth Hart performance
Oof, yes, it's all of this bipolar off their meds unhinged-ness but on her meds and controlled
That is my favorite BH song
YES! Caught out in the rain

She gives me chills every time I hear her.
Love her and Joe together. Another is Sean Costello, “Love is Amazing” and “The Battle is Over” at The Living Room in NYC. You won’t be disappointed!
Watch her interviews. You will love her even more.
Spontaneous is what he is telling you to be.
Also the guitarist is John Nichols he is her long-term guitarist, still with her today
Check outLeave the Light On - Live at Royal Albert Hall. Great song that she wrote.
Rock can't be that structured, it's not classical! Let loose have a couple drinks, that's Rock N Roll! I love Beth's freestyle, that's what makes her , her!
Beth as won many awards!! Please do "Id Rather Go Blind" live at Paradiso with Joe Bonamassa!! She just released a new album that is a tribute to Led Zeppelin, and its so good!!🎶🎸🎶🎸
I have read the woman she sang too was a close friend on the friends birthday.
"That Girl" is her best friend & it was her birthday.
that was stunning,, and, for me, i felt Janis.....
Holy shit! She’s incredible! I watched a great interview with her but hadn’t heard her music until now. Check out the Everybody Loves Guitar podcast and her interview with him. It’s deep and great
Check out Bad Harts rehearsal video of Zeppelin's " Whole Lotto Love" in the studio accompanied by a guitar.
Yes, she has been through some stuff. Check out her song, “Leave the Light On.”

Watching you realize you actually cannot sing at all during this video was priceless!! 😊
We all need some Beth in our H(e)art :-)
Because she IS metal. I didn't think Great Gig in the Sky, but instead I thought maybe some Jon Oliva?
She just released a Led Zeppelin tribute album
Blues music is the boure rock music, that why you like it . Beth has done led zeppelin
She does Led Zeppelin extremely well!
I love seeing people connect with the blues the way I do. But, since you are excited about Beth. See Beth and Joe Bonamassa again - “I’ll Take Care of You” th-cam.com/video/nW3OrLHj0lQ/w-d-xo.html , “Close to My Fire” th-cam.com/video/-kmm5VXtLi0/w-d-xo.html and “Black Coffee” th-cam.com/video/NooMzmbE0xc/w-d-xo.html.
Another one from Beth. More rockin’ than blue. “Broken and Ugly” (Live @ Paradiso) th-cam.com/video/OevFJPG_5xk/w-d-xo.html
You have just had a Beth Hart eargasm. In this video she is the music, the band is just back up. She is reninisent of janis joplin.
this concert was supposed to be MUCH smaller and it was her re-entry back into the business after her drug use caused her labels to drop her. She was clean for 18 months before the concert. The venue sold out the other place, kept selling tickets and rented this place....so her gratitude is genuine. Her guitarist is still worth her and I think is better than Bonomassa with her.
He is a good old friend, for sure, but musically miles away beneath JoBo.
PLEASE do her YOUNG songs, as a 13 Time Champ, on the US Talent Show, Star Search in 1993!!!! She does a version of this Too!!
