Don't quote me on this but this may have beenBeth's first performance since getting clean and getting out of rehab and she picked the Paradiso in Amsterdam cuz the Dutch crowds had always been very good to her and she seems to have a special connection with them and she wanted to show her appreciation for their support. Apparently so many people bought tickets that they had to move it to a bigger hall and allow free seating, meaning people sitting just below the stage on their butts. Imagine that woman 18-20 years later tells her friends and kids that the great Beth Hart serenaded her while practically sitting in her lap. wow!
This is possession....this Queen of soul can channel the sands of time. Other worldly talent...the most pure form of expression ever...I love you my Queen ♥️
Yes, Beth is still going at it, in my opinion, better then ever. Her voice has matured and has even greater range now. She just finished a tour in Germany, made a Led Zeppelin cover/tribute album. She is best live, this whole concert is phenomenal, my favorite is "broken and ugly" where she totally rocks out. Any live concert video from here is truly worth the rabbit hole. Not only a great voice, an accomplished musician, "momma" and "baddest blues" show her piano talents and she is also great on guitar and bass as one of my personal favorites, "spiders in my bed" shows. Great talent and down to earth personality makes her my favorite touring musician right now.
Ohh a Beth reaction! I really love this woman, and has been to 4 of her live shows. She's a fighter and a surviver. She went through a lot and struggled with drug and alcohol abuse for many years.
She sings every song with this passion. As y'all put it she's not this this is pretty much an exception,BUT, i promise you'll feel every word she sings. This is my second best performance of hers My first? Caught out in the rain.. Live Royal Albert hall
I have seen her live with my wife and she is calmer but still the greatest and most moving shiver inducung singer around today. A must see concert for anyone who loves music
Beth is a goddess and a warrior woman! She has battled so much shit in her life and overcome it all! She is 🔥 🔥LOVE her! The blonde guy who pulled her up on the stage is her husband of many years....☮❤ Sea Point, Cape Town
I love hearing new people listen to Beth for the first time, and this song in particular is a great one to introduce yourself to her. This entire concert is amazing. She does a variety of styles at this concert, including rock, hard rock, and blues. You would most likely like "Immortal", "I Don't Need No Doctor", "Whole Lotta Love (cover)", "Broken & Ugloy", "Get Your Shit Together", "Mama", "Leave the Light On" all from Live at Paradiso. You really should hear more. She writes all her own songs, (except she does like everyone do a few covers). You also should here Beth Hart "Caught out in the Rain" live at Royal Albert Hall, Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa "I'd Rather Go Blind" live in Amsterdam. There are so many more that you should explore. It is a wonderful rabbit hole to go down,
Nice that U2 has seen/hear Beth in Paradiso [Amsterdam] ... Beth is whit Floor and Davina Michelle, my musical love [of female singers] .. they have something special .. they can tell a song so you can feel it in your soul ... chills and some times tears,, its a gift .. Greetings from Amsterdam🤘✌
When you ask if Beth still performs with the same intensity 18 years later, let me reassure you that she most certainly does. I was lucky enough to see her this year and her stage presence and ability to connect with her audience is magical. She’s 50 years old now, and she’s still just getting better. Long live the present day Queen Of The Blues. There’s truly nobody better than Beth Hart. ❤❤❤ ✌🏼😎
Enjoyed your reaction and astute commentary. That’s right, singing is a full-body experience for Beth. Right, a BH concert is not about ‘singing songs,’ it’s about an experience. She was 32 years old at the time of this video and is now 50. This concert represented her complete comeback (in Europe) after losing her Atlantic Records contract in the US and nearly dying from drug & alcohol addiction, mental illness, and anorexia in 1999/2000. Beth lays it all on the line every time and is even better than this now, extremely fit, and currently wrapping up her European Tour in Germany this week. Her discography is extremely diverse and vey deep. Here’s a brief list of suggestions for reaction. Everything she does is mind-blowing-pick a genre, start at #1: SINGER-SONGWRITER BETH (original songs from the 2018 Royal Albert Hall concert in London): 1) “Caught Out in The Rain” (about an unhealthy relationship with a dangerous man): th-cam.com/video/lzdJf7Hqttk/w-d-xo.html 2) “Baddest Blues” (inspired by Billie Holiday & her mom): th-cam.com/video/hJMk-9DTe1o/w-d-xo.html 3) “Sister Heroine” (about losing an older sister to AIDS): th-cam.com/video/uT7_ZPIAoC4/w-d-xo.html 4) "Leave The Light On" (about her turbulent childhood): th-cam.com/video/ETj8kXNAtuE/w-d-xo.html 5) “My California” (about her husband Scott): th-cam.com/video/HkFY4lqKI5g/w-d-xo.html BLUES GODDESS BETH w/ JOE BONAMASSA (blues covers) 1) “I’d Rather Go Blind” (from the 2013 ‘Live in Amsterdam’ concert): th-cam.com/video/UEHwO_UEp7A/w-d-xo.html 2) “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know” (from the 2013 ‘Live in Amsterdam’ concert): th-cam.com/video/bOQ07fVVDJQ/w-d-xo.html 3) “I’ll Take Care of You” (Beth in a guest appearance at Joe’s 2011 ‘Live at the Beacon Theatre’ concert in NYC): th-cam.com/video/KFphuiMxA7I/w-d-xo.html ROCK STAR BETH (From the 2004 Paradiso Concert in Amsterdam): 1) “Mama” (Beth alone at piano; original): th-cam.com/video/q2DVaSDMRMg/w-d-xo.html 2) “Whole Lotta Love” (Led Zeppelin cover; full band): th-cam.com/video/3UKXP7bAg9A/w-d-xo.html 3) “Lay Your Hands on Me” (Beth at piano with full band): th-cam.com/video/c68YQrIL4q0/w-d-xo.html 4) “Guilty” (Randy Newman cover; Beth on guitar): th-cam.com/video/XogjEj9sHfc/w-d-xo.html 5) “Broken & Ugly” (original; full band): th-cam.com/video/CkusjT5wvjA/w-d-xo.html 6) “I Don’t Need No Doctor” (Humble Pie cover): th-cam.com/video/uwqMicZrUbo/w-d-xo.html MORE BETH: 1) “A Change is Gonna Come” (Sam Cooke cover; From the Echoplex, a small club in her LA neighborhood in 2010): th-cam.com/video/QnIL8AKWRNQ/w-d-xo.html 2) “Mechanical Heart” (Live in Inas Nacht in Hamburg, Germany, Sept.2022; original song about her husband): th-cam.com/video/ovBwnRhOziQ/w-d-xo.html 3) "Black Dog" (Official Video from 2022-LZ Tribute Album): th-cam.com/video/HO8dyc4cgCY/w-d-xo.html 4) “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” (Official Video 2022-LZ Tribute Album): th-cam.com/video/Vl8FBFgg4tc/w-d-xo.html 5) One-Eyed Chicken” (original from 2011 German TV Rockpalast concert): th-cam.com/video/T_uwqozyUD8/w-d-xo.html 6) "House of Sin” (original from 2005 Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, Netherlands): th-cam.com/video/yLv0QuW8hHo/w-d-xo.html
thank you for this comment, you did a great job. you explained very clearly and I am very happy that you also love Beth, life with her is much more colorful❤️
You WILL love all her performances. She is the best singer/performer out there. Her very different songs at the piano will let you know it's not just a voice wrapped in a beautiful soul, but a supreme talent that must be treasured. Love her to bits. Peace and Love. 🥰
Beth is my favorite female singer, hands down. I saw her live in Ohio about 6 months ago and it was flawless. while she has mellowed a bit over the years, her voice has only gotten better with age. Great reaction! Next I would recommend checking out her performances with Joe Bonamassa, they truly are next level 😁
Can't wait to see this.... she's my favorite female vocalist in the whole wide world ! Notice she's just got a 3 piece band other than when she plays .
Great reaction! She definitely puts everything she has into ALL her music and still gets out into crowds... you'll LOVE "Waterfalls" live from Royal Albert Hall where she gets out and walks through the audience... ENJOY!
Domenika, that is a perfection explanation. Blues music IS something you feel and not hear. Blues is a state of mind. Beth, unfortunately doesn't sing or perform like this anymore, and her music, while much different then this, is still excellent. Extraordinary talent and performer. Great reaction folks!
Beautiful piece. Beth is the best, the song" I am the one"on Amsterdam at Paradise is strong, sensual, great music and in the song " Mama this one's for you" there is so much love and emotion and sweetness. I never get tired of listening to Beth every day.His diverse interpretations are always the best we can hear...and see! Thanks to Beth for those gifts. Love from Italy, from Rome!😍

thank you so much for the great reaction, Beth is worth attention because she is world class and something unique. also she is a brilliant songwriter😁 I hope you enjoy my next song recommendations .Dziękuję Bardzo :)
You mentioned how crazy she seemed to you she is now 51 and she has said she won't do this song anymore it takes to much energy she feels she cannot do it justice anymore. She has mellowed quite a bit with age but her voice is still amazing.
Beth is amazing, nothing more to say! She lives in her music like few other artists. if you want more Blues rock and even a bit of bluegrass then Samantha Fish is another great singer / guitarist keeping the art alive with her own music as well as covering the classics. Its so cool to see musicians turn their backs on pop and "country pop" and focus their talents and energies on real music that still has soul! 🤣
That (!) was a great concert! Been there! As far as I know, that girl she was singing to, was a friend of her celebrating her birthday at that concert. Man, it's already 18 years ago? I am getting old! If you like powerful women voices, watch a live video of "Dana Fuchs" ... maybe you wann give "The Beatles - Helter Skelter (Covered by Dana Fuchs)" a try. It's a live recording from the B.B. King Club in New York! I am pretty sure you'll like it! :)
The girl was NOT a friend nor was it her birthday. She was a shy 17 year old at the time, there with her family (her mother is the blond taking photos), not her first BH concert, and just a random center of focus for Beth. All other accounts of interaction this are pure internet gossip and just stories people made up..
Beth Hart is second only to Floor Jansen as an emotional singer who relates to her songs and her audience. You would enjoy anything she performs. Not always as crazy but what a voice !
Another great song to experience is ‘I’d Rather Go Blind’ live in Amsterdam with Joe Bonamassa, an absolute master on the guitar. A very different mature look and she stays on the stage. 😄 The song was originally sung by Etta James in 1967. 😀🤘 th-cam.com/video/UEHwO_UEp7A/w-d-xo.html
Beth❤️ fkn ROCKS! It's said that she chooses females bcz guy audiences get too touchy. She feels safer with women. And the guy who picks her back up onto the stage is her husband/Tour Mgr. Scott!!
I saw this concert a long time ago , it was a bit too sexy for me . Took the attention to other regions iso my ears. But God, this was really a fantastic experience. She is with Janis and Ann Peebles my favorite singer fem. And those concert was much more emotional than layer with Joe Bonamassa .Think Joe would've left the stage if she'd sung like this .
LOL, like Crocodile Dundee said, "that's not screaming....this is screaming": th-cam.com/video/SQNtGoM3FVU/w-d-xo.html Listen, Beth is insanely diverse, check out these other cups of tea: SINGER-SONGWRITER BETH (original songs from the 2018 Royal Albert Hall concert in London): 1) “Caught Out in The Rain” (about an unhealthy relationship with a dangerous man): th-cam.com/video/lzdJf7Hqttk/w-d-xo.html 2) “Sister Heroine” (about losing an older sister to AIDS): th-cam.com/video/uT7_ZPIAoC4/w-d-xo.html 3) "Leave The Light On" (about her turbulent childhood): th-cam.com/video/ETj8kXNAtuE/w-d-xo.html 4) “Baddest Blues” (inspired by Billie Holiday & her mom): th-cam.com/video/hJMk-9DTe1o/w-d-xo.html 5) “My California” (about her husband Scott): th-cam.com/video/HkFY4lqKI5g/w-d-xo.html BLUES GODDESS BETH w/ JOE BONAMASSA (blues covers) 1) “I’d Rather Go Blind” (from the 2013 ‘Live in Amsterdam’ concert): th-cam.com/video/UEHwO_UEp7A/w-d-xo.html 2) “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know” (from the 2013 ‘Live in Amsterdam’ concert): th-cam.com/video/bOQ07fVVDJQ/w-d-xo.html 3) “I’ll Take Care of You” (Beth in a guest appearance at Joe’s 2011 ‘Live at the Beacon Theatre’ concert in NYC): th-cam.com/video/KFphuiMxA7I/w-d-xo.html
@@willarth9186 Ok, I take it this must be a reference to an example of quintessential boredom (I had to look Drachinifel up)...and thus an indicator of how likely you are to further investigate your initial impressions and assumptions. There is not a living soul on Earth who would consider Beth Hart boring (except you?). This might be amusing if there were any credibility to your initial assessment: it cannot be reduced to screaming, although not being your cup of tea cannot be denied. Doing nothing is a very effective way to reinforce your beliefs and ensure a lack of growth. Prove me wrong and watch "Caught Out..." or "I'd Rather..." 🤔 (Though, I appreciate the Drachinifel reference).
Beth Hart has an amazing voice. Check out her performance with Joe Bonamassa "I'd Rather Go Blind" live in Amsterdam.
Beth Hart is absolute gold. You'll have a hard time finding a song by Beth that you don't just love. She is such a beautiful person as well.

Beth IS the one.
Beth Hart - a voice like a force of nature! Her cover of Whole lotta love from Led Zeppelin is awesome! I think it's even from that evening.
That's called call and response. That stuff with the guitar in her.
Beth were concerting last summer again in Romania at Summer Camp Brezoi (Vâlcea) - and will be back in 2023 also if you want to go.... :)
Please do continue to explore this artist; she is fabulous. You're going to love her!

At that time BH was popular mainly in The Netherlands and New Zealand, but now she

Modern day Janis Joplin.
Guys why did you stop doing Pentatonix reactions. I miss your pentatonic reaction please do more pentatonix videos.
Beth is Janis Joplin reincarnated.
The gals in the front row probably started questioning their sexuality with that performance.

She was already clean at that time. There is a documentary from the dutch tv. At that time she was only famous in New Zealand and the Netherlands.
Not my cup of tea... If I want to hear screaming, I'll just go into my backyard and scream at the squirrels.
LOL, like Crocodile Dundee said, "that's not screaming....this is screaming": th-cam.com/video/SQNtGoM3FVU/w-d-xo.html

@@ben-schulman Thank you. As soon as Drachinifel's live lecture and Q&A is over I shall...
MY REACTION WATCHING THIS REACTION IS CALLED....................."AM I THE MOLE?"
🇬🇧 Norfolk with you guys , she sings from the sole
