(HOW TO REPLACE YOUR E90 SEAT TENSIONER)
So after replacing all your airbags in your car and seeing that the light won't go away, probably upsets you. I found out that the seat tensioners are part of the airbag sensors and when you get in a accident they get triggered and most be replaced. Once I replaced it the Icarly app for Bmw reset it with ease. If this video helped you please smash that like button.

If this video doesn’t fix it, the reason you have the airbag light and seatbelt tensioner light is because you got upgraded seats from a non LCI car. Lci cars have a airbag in the headrest. You would need to use a protocol to turn off the headrest air bags and that should fix it. Or you get get lci sports seats and that would also fix it

Is this the same with the E36? My 328i has the air bag light on, iv fixed some broken wiring which i thought was the issue, and its not the air bag so my only guess is the tensioners 🧐

Did you have to replace the seat belt as well? Im having the same issue on my vehicle F10. I replaced knee airbag , steering wheel airbag and curtain airbag
After a cloth to leather interior transplant I was about to give up when I could not clear the ‘seat belt tension’ fault. Watched your video and boom…..fixed…..thank you …..incidentally visually the tensioners on my ‘breaker’ seats looked exactly the same….so visually no clue that they were going to throw up a fault…..
Hi nour i recently replacement my bmw 335i n54 e92 seats to the m3 e92 ones. I got a code on the dash saying "restraint system Malfunction" did yours have the same caution on the idrive? can the icarly remove the airbag code forever?

I had this problem but the belt restraints were ok,what the problem was was quite simple,I had been putting stuff under the passenger seat when leaving the car parked up.when you pull the stuff back out fro under the seat you can pull the seat electrical connector block off the bracket on the seat.the block then flaps around and loosen its connections,I slid it back onto its bracket and left the car for 1 hour.when I started it again problem gone,never came back.check this first it may not seem like a big deal that the block has detached from the seat frame,but it is.

Did you have to replace the airbag control module or send it in to a airbag shop to delete the crash data?
i would imagine. since he was never in an accident i would say so. he only replaced the tensioner. im having the same problem with my e92.
I have a 2015 320ix front end crash airbags deployed will I need to do anything to start car the steering will is not locked. I changed the cable to batery already thank you

@@anthonymaniz9896 It never locks, I fix damaged cars all the time from new Mercedes to Maserati and BMW. Never locks just shuts off power to the engine

Did you air bag was on or off at the Kenny you install this ?
This fault could also be the pressure mat under the passenger seat at fault. I’ve got two beamers a 2012, 116i and a 2008 118d Msport. Both of them have this problem. The Msport has just had a new battery and fault appeared a few weeks later. The 116i had the fault when I bought the car. Common fault. If it’s the sensor pad under the passenger seat, it’s an expensive fix. Pain in the backside as the instrument cluster always shows the icon and I like to see the time displayed!!

If you disconnect the battery before you disconnect the cable under the seat the airbag light will not come on when you connect the cable later on.
Wait... So unhook the battery. Unhook the plugs under the seat. Hook the battery back up then the seats and the airbag light goes away?

I mean if you dont buy the right one that's been taken care of. They're not camry's or Corollas. I have an M3 and all I've had to fix is the water pump.
all bmws have coolant problems i have own 3 and they all have had new radiators exspantion tanks hoses etc.
Not just bimmers. But every car needs some love. BUT bmws need more love. That’s why you don’t go for the “sweet deals” you go for those bmws that have service records.

Best solution is just to remove the airbag light from the dash. Car will still work OK. I did this in my old car when the light came on. I sold it since so its not my problem.
What happened is i mistakenly changed my pass front window regulator but didn't disconnect the battery b4 taking the airbag out so i have the srs on dashboard with no codes at all so the big question is will the carly reset this so the car will stop thinking the bag was deployed thanks again

I have the Carly adapter and I love it. I removed airbag lights in my sisters e60 and use it on many bmws to code. It’s awesome

your seat belt light stays on.
It'll be shorter than a non deployed one.

To get through an MOT with a red airbag light on a BMW E46, I put the key in position 2, and removed Fuse 10.
No rear parking sensors, but she passed the MOT.
After the MOT, I put the key in position 2, and replaced Fuse 10.

Weird I just replaced my E90 with a new battery and these 2 lights popped up . Seatbelt and airbag and the battery was programmed as well

God damnit it's called a pre tensioner guys... and most cars disconnect the pos and neg cables and keep them held together for a couple mins. If it comes back it's a hard code and repairs will be required.
What is that supposed to do. And you are saying to hold the pos and neg battery cables together to remove the airbag light
This way you will fry all the electronics in your car
