    Ok, my srs light was blinking for a week I looked under the seat after watching this video and the yellow connection was disconnected. I reconnected the connection and started my truck, problem solved. Thanks!! One of the best most direct self help videos I've ever watched.

    Wow! I just got my active headrest dvd monitors installed on my 15 DD at car toys and the airbag light came on along with my seatbelt light even though I had my seatbelt on. I searched on TH-cam and found this video. I watched it then applied it and bam...there was wire under the drivers seat not connected so I connected it, turned on my vehicle and it worked. Thnx. Great video and saved me a trip to the dealership. Yes it worked!!

    May God bless you Paul! Unfortunately I paid the dealer $128.00 to tell me they want to START by replacing the SRS unit, before I saw your video. I was having an intermittent problem with the light coming on and off. I didn't know the airbag system was also part of the seat belt system. Once they told me it was the SRS unit I started searching on TH-cam for help and found your video. I just finished pushing in the Yellow connectors under the front seats and it was the one under the passenger seat. The light has gone off! It cost me over one hundred dollars to learn this lesson, but the dealer was going to charge me over $800.00 to fix the problem! I feel really stupid now as I can usually fix minor problems myself. I know nothing about airbag systems and was probably a little intimidated about trying to fix something so important myself. Thanks again for taking the time to share this tip!

You saved me 3500 bucks - Light was on, wife was freaking out, just had the scion in the dealer for a diagnostic and they quoted a floor harness replacement and made me sign a waiver to drive it away with the light on. • @DaytonCarCare

    In some cars it's the occupancy sensor that fails in the passenger seat and causes this light. You can run a resistor off one of the wires going to it and it will turn the warning light off. They also offer this online as a plug in adapter. Airbag will still operate properly. Also a sticky seat belt receiver can cause the SRS light to come on. Just shoot a little WD-40 in there to loosen it up. One time in a old 92 Mercedes 500SL I had the ASR and SRS lights were on. Found it was the contact ring in the steering wheel under the air bag had a bad connection. Found a good used replacement and it turned the warning lights off.

Thought ill have a quick look on TH-cam as ive done with a few things over the years and there was one spot i really had to get in to a tight spot under the trim on beside the drivers seat so i hit that place first and bingo i had somehow popped one of the connectors half off clipped it back on checked the other and flicked the key amd walla no air bag light well done. If your ever im Australia let me know i owe you a few beers as they charge like all shit over her just to look at your car. Again thanks mate :-)

    Thanks. Watched your 3 videos and fixed my '04 Acura TL Airbag/SRS Light-On problem in about 5 minutes! It was the yellow SRS connector under the pax seat--the first one I checked 😜. Glad I did an ops check after doing the first one. Saved time and also isolated the problem to that specific plug. Thanks again for the great info. Always a great idea to check the easy stuff first. It's beer thirty! Cheers, Spudz

    Thanks man! My Toyota Avensis '99 failed on the inspection before christmas. It ruined my christmas feeling. But today I began searching after looking at your video. I began with the connectors under the drivers seat. Took them apart, sprayed a little electronic cleaner spray. Put together again. No error!!!! It was like 5 min fix!! Incredible. Would have cost ridicilously much at workshop.

    The real problem that this fixes is mico corrosion build up on the terminals. This is known as terminal fretting. Simply unplugging and reconnecting will result in a restored connection. There is a terminal lubricant called Nyogel that will prevent the corrosion. The air bag circuits are always the yellow connectors. ALWAYS! do this with ignition off.

    • @ejdubu
      @ejdubu 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JAWGA MAN You want nyogel 760g. In our store we use AC Delco part number 12377900. Not sure what retailers have it but available through online retailers.

    • @ejdubu
      @ejdubu 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      JAWGA MAN and yes, use this directly on the pins. Don't fill the female terminals. This can cause a hydrolock senario and spread the terminal.

    For a longer term fix, something to look into is proper contact grease based on the material of the connector contacts. Cant vouch for any product (it varies) but it seems over time, either corrosion, wear, or both effect contact longevity. Dielectric contact grease solves these issues, but its very important to get the right type based on the connector contact material. Also the car should probably have its battery disconnected for some predetermined time before disconnecting any of these connectors - lest you want to make a trip to the dealer to get the airbag system re-calibrated - especially on newer cars.
