I have this tablet, and I want to mention a criticism I have from my experience in case anyone is still considering this one. The one big flaw I see in it is the pressure sensitivity. The top of the pressure curve is very low, to where I'll get to the highest pressure level while barely pressing down. It's very difficult for me to get anything between the lowest and highest level. Could be something wrong with mine, or just something with the replacement nibs I'm using, but it might be an issue with all of them.
2:12 Okay as someone who actually uses/benefits for higher pressure sensitivity i'll explain how it is used on work. You benefit it when you need to use huge brush sizes for lets say background art, more you have pressure levels more control you have on your pencil/brush size differences (the control on how thin or large line you draw etc.). Same goes if you color large canvas pictures. However on smaller sizes such as 1080p size pictures i see not much practical use since you cannot really use large enough pencil/brush size to notice any difference or even benefit from this high pressure sensitivity (though using something like 300 ppi on 1080p gives you pretty large work area). I hope this adds some clarity for what those high pressure sensitivities are used for. (Also sorry for bad english i am not native english writer/speaker, though i explained it as good as i possibly can)
Glad to see that the wobble is so minimal now, but as a light sketcher, I really wish these alternatives would start addressing the initial activation pressure thing in future products. Thanks for the thorough review!
I'm watching your Huion Kamvas Pro 16 video right now and you mention that you have to plug it in to a computer to use it. Is the Gaomon the same? Need to connect to a computer to use it?
Yes, these are not computers or "tablets" like you would find in Best Buy, they're basically external monitors that work with a stylus (not a touchscreen) & have been designed specifically for people using image design / editing programs. So, they usually have convenience buttons built in for the program features that are most frequently used. However, you can use them with any program if you want to use a stylus with it, or just as a fancy second monitor, but they have no operating system, cpu, memory, or hard drive.

The mobile studio pro is not portable at all, it is a really bulky machine, you don't have a stand... the quadro card in the 16 inch version causes problems in some machines. If you don't need the windows OS, I highly recommend the ipad pro with procreate, cheaper, more portable, on par performance, and you can make high-end work on it too. The mobile studio is more of a desktop replacement than a portable drawing cintiq. (Also I have doubt that the new wacom mobile studio will come out in the coming months/year, with the 8th gen quad-core low power intel chip, instead of the current dual core, so it would be a waste to save money, buying the machine and a few months later seeing a release of the new iteration). PS: If you are just starting out with digital painting, and you have hard to using a pen-tablet, the ipad is valid option.
You seemed to really like the Artisul D16, and since you did that video after this one, would you say overall that the Gaomon is still the better choice? Great video Brad! Love all of your reviews (especially because of those awesome camera angles haha) Keep up the great work. Looking forward to seeing more!
I'm currently working on the original Surface pro, and am upgrading to a powerful desktop, and was thinking about getting a new tablet (My surface has blue-screened twice). I think it'll be viable once I wipe the system, and start anew with it, but thanks for reviewing this tablet! I'm excited to fit the bag over my head!
Brad, Thanks for the review. I have finally made the decision and your reviews helped. I should get my Gaomon 1560 in about 2 weeks. I ordered it on Aliexpress. $359.95. I opted in for the swing arm for space purposes and mobility I got the idea from a fellow youtuber, Iris Muddy .
Hey, saw your reviews. Pretty much you give a positive review for most of them. Not sure which one is better now after watching them all. Can you rank them maybe?
Keep in mind, the current Gaomon price is introductory, they just jacked up the price here in Japan. So now XP-Pen Artist 16 is the clear winner (80$ cheaper)
Is anyone having issues using this with a Mac? I’m left handed and I can only get the tablet to work in right hand mode. Whenever I try to rotate it, the display keeps showing my old desktop wallpaper for some reason. Tried resetting it but to no avail.

I saw a lot, A LOT of video review and text one... I put it aside XP pen (for a lot of reasons) and the Huion 191 because, it have "bad" parallax, and lil more of Jitter, than the 1560. Unfortunately most of the reviews focus on frills, for me the tablet need a good compromise between PARALLAX, JITTER, SENSITIVITY, IF WORK WELL ALSO AT 20° INCLINATION, GAP BETWEEN GLASS AND DRAW, And now the real competitors for me (that i love to sketch) are "Gaomon PD1560" and "Huion GT-220 v2", and it is really difficult to decide, it will win for the one that is closest to the experience of sketching on paper.
I have a question about tablets and pens. Can you buy different pens and use them with tablets they didn't come with? Or do pens and tablets only work if they are made/sold together?
Get this one or the HUION KAMVAS Pro 13. Probably the two best choices for you money. Either less money (this one), bigger screen but less built quality. Or more expensive (huion) with better build quality, better drivers but smaller screen size.
Thanks for all you effort & sharing. I appreciated it all when I was doing my decision making, so I made sure to come back and open your affiliate link before I just ordered the PD 156 pro & some other stuff. Hopefully you'll get your kick back soon! ;)
Came to check out if any new Gaomon tablets piqued your interest, and found this video from 3 years ago! Do you think you'll review some of their other stuff some day? I think they have tilt support now!
Awesome channel, you definitely got my sub! So is this tablet still worth it til this day? I'm really looking towards this one to be my first display tablet but I keep seeing new ones pop up from the other companies every time.
Would you still recommend this now? Im looking at some official refurbished products for a tablet and Im debating between this, a Huion Kamvas 13 or a Samsung S6 Lite
Brad, this tablet and the XP Artist 16 will be the same price on Black Friday, basically. Should I go for the Artist 16 because of the build? Does the Gaomon perform better or about the same?
I'm still trying to decide between the xp pen 16 and this tablet and i was waiting for ur review of gaomon to hopefully help but im still hesitating xD (thanks for the review though). I think my question is w/o the screen protector and just drawing on the glass, how does it compare to xp pen 16? and also the cable quality. Which one is more whimsy/cheap and seems less likely to actaully be registered by the computer. Thnks!
I can't turn on the pen for the tablet it connects for a few seconds and then turns off I left it on charge for the whole day and got the same result can you please help me
Not really, we're not entirely paying for the screen. The internals of the tablet also has a price, not to mention the miscellaneous things like the bag, the stand, the pen (and other), and the labor fees of course. I'd say the screen itself wouldn't cost that much, but it's a screen that supports pen accessibility. So the screen would at least make up half of the price of the initial tablet. So instead of it being 4 times more expensive, it should be 2 times more expensive when it comes to the screen.
Brad if you had to pick between this and the XP-Pen Artist 16 which would you go for? I'm still trying to decide which one I want, and I just saw that XP-Pen has another tablet coming out with a more sensitive pen, but no stand :( So many options now at this size and its hard to tell which one is best so any help or advice would really be appreciated. Thanks
Jawbreaker Gito it connects to your laptop and just shows the computer, except you can draw on the tablet. You can use anything you could use on a laptop on This
@Brad Colbow Have you noticed somethin wrong with colour and shading? Im interested in buying this model, but i read it works with 6 bit colour not 8 bit as usual, were there any stepps in Smooth shading?
TrollModeHD Due to the good dithering algorithm on the tablet, no “steps” were apparent as far as I can tell, but when getting close to absolute whites, some values do not read very well on the tablet. I would advise getting the more updated GAOMON PD1561 or GAOMON PD156 PRO, although for the PD156 PRO, the biggest downside is the awful stand, and the fact that there’s no backside to attach a better stand with. Both of them have tilt support and are battery-free, so no recharging.
2:20 So you say that, if i barely touch the screen with the nibs, (like a do on paper sketching) the pen don't active, don't leave signs etc? Even if i change the sensibility or driver etc? In comparison to the Huion?
I got it for 380. It's fantastic imo. Im using it as my first screen pen tablet and it's just amazing compared to drawing on a graphics tablet. Drivers worked great on my machine too, unlike Wacom, which I've always had issues with.
Hey Brad! I just picked up the Gaomon. Any suggestions on calibration? I'm having to offset where I place my pen on the calibration to make sure the cursor is correctly under my stylus. EG: On the left side of the screen, the cursor ends up being a few millimeters to the right, so during calibration, I end up pressing directly to the left of the dot to trick the system into making my device more accurate.
rccsrGaming if you are using Windows computer, can kindly make sure PD1560 screen resolution at 1920*1080 and screen size to 100% : ) and please use the same angle and posture as usually do to calibrate . For more detail to solve it, please come to GAOMON website online chat! I will send you detail steps and pictures. Just say you find Dora I will be here ^ ^
Ok, i m seen this video in future, so you have Gaomon and idk if you have been using it for years or you not. What kind of issues do they have or some common unsolved challenges issues have you heard about Gaomon? 😊i hope i communicate better
I was looking for a direct comparison with the similar sized Xp-Pen Artist 16, AND HERE IS WAS!!!! I had been watching reviews, and doing as much research on introductory wacom alternatives (specifically this one) for over 10 days now, and thanks to videos like this one, I was able to make the decision on getting the Gaomon PD1560! (the sale price being 24% off was a major decision maker). However, just my luck, in the Checkout of Amazon, there was a problem with the shipping, with 0 explanation as to why, meaning I could not place the order and not get the tablet :( I hope that another amazing deal like this one comes out soon, (it seems very rare for any wacom alternative to be on sale :( ), and if you continue to review products like these, aimed for enthusiasts & the poor soul, then you have my subscription.
Rural Manitoba, Canada. We have encountered on occasion, certain items on Amazon that they won't ship. My brother suspects since the temperature is so low, they don't want to transport such delicate equipment out to the country, but that's purely speculation. We don't know why.
12463trf errr, there is stock right on Amazon... Though only 2 left... But will have another batch arrived soon! Please come and search GAOMON PD1550 on Amazon CA!
@@rafaelfae7839 oh boy that was an ooooold post. I ended up getting the huion kamvas gt156hdv2. Decent quality, though the sensor for scrolling wore down after a couple years, and the accuracy is a bit off as o move my head and posture a lot. There are much better models released since, so I'd be looking for.more recent releases.
Between Huion Kamvas gt 191 and GAOMON PD1560. Which of the 2 is better in terms of precision, jitter, and quality? (I don't mind if either is more expensive etc). The ability to produce smooth and clean lines is important and I read somewhere that Huion gt 191 has that wobble and jitter. I'm hoping this one has less of that. I'm also concerned about the screen size being small?
Ah, but can you buy better quality screen protector online (also eu) ? i was looking for it a bit but i wasn't sure if it's original one or better. Cool Review btw, thank you :)
I loved this tablet, but since I replaced my laptop with a desktop with a 4k monitor 2 years later, it felt like there was a lot of issues with the display and pen not cooperating, and needing to set the administrator stuff everytime I turn it on, yada yada. Not sure if it means I need a bigger one.
Gaomon or UGEE? I've been thinking of getting the ugee 1910b (19in screen) since it's the same price as this 15in from gaomon, but would you recommend this product over that?
Brad Colbow thanks for the info! I haven't seen many reviews get into that so I'll be on the lookout for other tablets I can buy. Any chance you'd do a ranking of the best pen displays/Wacom alternatives again for the end of 2017? Especially since holidays are nearing
Hey Brad, can you test to see if the pens for newest generation Huion tablets are compatible with this one? Just in case I might have to buy a spare pen. Thanks for the review as always.
The Huion pen I have did not work with this. Well it kinda worked but not really. Also the huion drivers on my Mac wrecked havoc on this tablet. Probably only a problem that only I will have.
Oh, ok... So I might have to contact them in case I need an extra pen... Is the Jitter on this one really that not noticeable? I'm a comic book artist, and line quality really is a premium for me.
What about the reflection on the screen? Is the screensaver "fuzzy" to make the glare dissipear or is it really glary? Also is the paralax better or worse than the xp pens? Also is it more or less laggy then the xp pens? I really think you should do a gaomon xp pen versus video and compare them more. I'm right now choosing between those 2 and I have a really hard time choosing. Also theres black friday today so I wish I alredy knew :/
It has a screen protector over the glass screen. That matte screen protector does make it less crisp but also with it glair is no problem. I got used to it pretty fast. The screen protector can be removed if you like the smooth glass screen better and that's also sharper. As far as parallax I thought it was about the same between the two tablets.
Okay but how about tilt support? I am watching all of your reviews to decide for all these "cheaper" variants of wacom. And I do won der wich of all of theese have the following : non glary screens (prefered that paper feel) , an erazor on the pen, rubber grip on the pen, not weighing to lightly, comes with a stand and, tilt support, also wich one of all those tablets have the least parallax. Also fairly long cords and are the chabgable so I can by a longer if they're to short? Also I would prefer a alternative to mobile studio since I want some kind of tavlet to bring with me and sit on a cafe and draw on. But I can't affor one for that high price. Is there any kind out there perfered a tablet computer but I can also go for a ipad wannabe tablet thingy but I want presure sensetivity and most of all other fancy stuff a drae monitor can give me so no cheap cellphone ish variant of drawing with like 1 pen and no sensitivity. Thank you in advance C:
Shadow If you haven't made a purchase yet, you should look into the Surface Pro. It has pressure sensitivity, and it doubles as a good and compact laptop.
Hi :D I just bought the tablet but reading the FAQ I realize the tablet installation program need yo to uninstall all other tablet drivers from other brands before the installation application to run. So I manage to uninstall my Wacom-tablet driver to do so. After that I thought "I need the other since i need to transport this laptop to school..." But I don´t know, would this make the gaomon-driver to crash?
You need to plug it into a computer. Most tablets aren't stand alones or 2 in 1 tablets, and those that are tend to be either very very poor quality or 1k-2k dollars.
Hi! I’m not sure if these were mentioned in the video but I have some questions, I’m very new to digital art and this may be my first tablet :) Is this stand-alone or will I need a monitor? I do have a MacBook Air though I am not sure if it will work well with it. I did see another review on Amazon saying it did not pair well with their Mac. Will this need a program to run (something like PhotoShop), and if so, what will work for it? I’m not sure if there are limits to what apps/sites you can use, it’d be great to know before getting this! If anyone else has had any problems within this year for this tablet please let me know! I’m broke but still want to switch to digital art, this tablet seems like my best option atm… if you have any other suggestions also lmk about those, I would prefer a stand-alone tablet though :) thanks!
I'm starting to watch you vids, VERY informative. What I would like to know is the idea of using it with Autocad, both for architectural drafting and creating 3d art for 3d printing . What are your thoughts on this?
I think the new Cintiqs are going to be a huge step up. Hopefully they will reduce parallax like the smaller Cintiq pros did and also should be much higher resolution.
@Brad Colbow Thanks mate, I definetly agree the new models will be a huge upgrade, but I found something on the new models...They aren't coming at the start of the year(as I had the imprssion) but mid 2018, so I guess I'll just have to go for the 27.From this wacom post I found out why the prices of 27 dropped too: www.wacom.com/en-us/about-wacom/news-and-events/2017/1250 @Lily Vuong Well, waiting for 7 months or even more and doing nothing, is not "affordable"(time wise) :P . @BLING-BLING BOY I understand your point of view. But I can't really "beta test" other products.Wacom is doing this for quite a while, so I have to go for the guaranteed quality, as I'm doing quite a huge investment(atleast for me) :P. Tho I'm really happy that Wacom started having serious competition.Competition it's great for us(the buyers). Just fyi I'm still using a tiny Bamboo wich has quite alot of years, and still works like new, obiviously the only thing I had to change were the nibs.
My daughter wants a drawing tablet and this is the one I am Liking the best for the price. Do you have to plug in or can you draw a couple photos at the kitchen table and then plug into computer later to upload?
Its basically a second screen, I think a Galaxy Tab s3 would fit better since its only one device, or try getting a used Ipad pro since you can get them cheaper.
can you recommend another tablet for me (if you have a sec)? I really like this tablet, but I was wondering if you know of any other drawing tablets (with screen) that are cheaper. Unfortunately, $409 isn't exactly Christmas list friendly in my household, so I was hoping for any suggestions. thanks
Another review said that the promotional price of 359.99 was going to last until the end of November, but it jumped to 409 already. Are you going to honor this?
Lower parallax is not cheap. Honestly, everywhere you go you'll find at least a little bit of parallax. The best tablets with minimal parallax would probably be Wacom. They're not cheap, but that's the price for low parallax.
Thanks for talking about tilt :) are there any Cintiq alternatives that do have tilt for PS and Corel Painter that you would recommend? Thanks for the great vids!
It's true. The resolution is the same but the screen is bigger on the Huion 221 Pro, so naturally the pixels will be slightly more obvious than that on a smaller screen
It doesn't come with a drawing program. I think he was using Photoshop but its SUPER expensive. I recommend Autodesk sketch, Medibang, Fire alpaca, or Krita. They all work fairly well. U can get all of them for free. If u want to bunk it up a notch u can aim for paint tool sai but it's on the more expensive side.
Hi! I have a screen monitor, a laptop and the gaomon tablet here. I am using extended display for all 3 “screens” but the cursor shows up on the laptop and not on the tablet. It only shows up on the tablet if I duplicate display for my laptop and tablet. I want to continue to use extended display so I can put up music on my laptop, references on my screen monitor and then simply draw on my tablet. Ive been stuck on this for hours and I am desperate for help. “Please send help!”
Hi ! maybe you can help me, I have a problem with my gaomon pd 1560, the problem is the inclination of the stylus, it is enough that I change to a millimeter my way of holding the stylus so that the tip on the screen is moved and is not below the tip of the pen. is it normal or is it adjustable?
Unbelievable ...I was now just going to paste the name of this model as had seen very good reviews about it... Did not realized you had already made a review.... lol...
the two fingers in the left hand is for if your left handed you'll know what i mean (i'm left handed myself) when you're drawing something on paper you see your hands and they are full of graffite and it smudges all the paper too and it's very annoying, so that's why the two fingers are there, so you don't smudge the screen with your fingerprints :)
But what if you want to use the bag for your head?! :(
Pray that your head is a little smaller than mine.

Thanks, Brad! Cool cartoon you were working on, too!
I buy this tablet. Your Review help me decide! Thanks!
would love to see a review of one of gaomon's recent models!
Can't decide between the Gaomon PD1560, XP-Pen artis 15.6 and the Huion GT156 v2.. which one should you go for?
Get this one or the HUION KAMVAS Pro 13. Probably the two best choices for you money. Either less money (this one), bigger screen but less built quality. Or more expensive (huion) with better build quality, better drivers but smaller screen size.
GAOMON PD1561!

Wait, does the pen come with the GAOMON pd1560?
Plz answer my question in like 16 days its my bday and I just NEED to know!
Thnks!
Thx for review ive been eyeing this tablet

I can't turn on the pen for the tablet it connects for a few seconds and then turns off I left it on charge for the whole day and got the same result can you please help me
i just bought one as my first drawing tablet, just little under 300 dollars.
my main concern is if the device will keep working in the long term.
is it still worked?
@@yenbinh0712 yes it still works took a while to get used to drawing on a screen though XD sorry took long to respond.

Is it still working fine?
from the pen displays you've used, 15 inch and above, which is the best for light drawers (activation force)?
+Emanuel Kedmi mostly non batery pen's
Yup it should be 4 times more expensive because the screen pixels are 4 times more than a 1080p. 4 times more pixel, 4 times more pricey.
Jasphere Rindou not necessarily. We are assuming that the price for the tablet is equal to the price of the pixels when it's a actually not.
Thanks
Hello, please is it compatible with adobe premiere pro and adobe illustrator?
Can you instal autodesk sketchook on this tablet? Or connect it to your leptop and use Krita or paint?
Jawbreaker Gito it connects to your laptop and just shows the computer, except you can draw on the tablet. You can use anything you could use on a laptop on This
You can use any software on it. It's basically a projected second monitor for your PC.
What about the tablet now? Colors, parallax.. Etc? I'm thinking on buying one of these.
I want to ask, can you use that tablet without a computer? and if you can why everyone uses a computer too?
no you cant, this kinds of tablet need a computer for it to work, its just like a second display connected to your PC.
You say you'd pick this over the XP PEN 16 but would you also put it above the 16 pro personally?
Acarone Steam if you change the settings in the driver it should be fine for light sketches
About the cables, can you simply purchase extra so that you can have separate cables making it easier to organize your workspace?
yeah i have been wondering if I should get this tablet thanks for the review
DeltaHunter animation get it while it's cheap got mine for $350
I got it for 380.
Just say you find Dora I will be here ^ ^
can you fix the initial pressure.. (if you’re a “light sketcher”) ?
(So that you don’t have to press so hard to get a harder-more prominent line)
hi you can set the pen pressure in GAOMON Driver
Ok, i m seen this video in future, so you have Gaomon and idk if you have been using it for years or you not. What kind of issues do they have or some common unsolved challenges issues have you heard about Gaomon? 😊i hope i communicate better
I've been wondering has anyone color calibrated the screen of this device? How accurate is this tablet in terms of colors?
The bag joke made me giggle.
However, just my luck, in the Checkout of Amazon, there was a problem with the shipping, with 0 explanation as to why, meaning I could not place the order and not get the tablet :(
I hope that another amazing deal like this one comes out soon, (it seems very rare for any wacom alternative to be on sale :( ), and if you continue to review products like these, aimed for enthusiasts & the poor soul, then you have my subscription.
May i know which country do you come from?
Rural Manitoba, Canada. We have encountered on occasion, certain items on Amazon that they won't ship. My brother suspects since the temperature is so low, they don't want to transport such delicate equipment out to the country, but that's purely speculation. We don't know why.
12463trf errr, there is stock right on Amazon... Though only 2 left... But will have another batch arrived soon! Please come and search GAOMON PD1550 on Amazon CA!
Do you have any news on that? Did you bought the gaomon? Do you recommend it?
@@rafaelfae7839 oh boy that was an ooooold post. I ended up getting the huion kamvas gt156hdv2. Decent quality, though the sensor for scrolling wore down after a couple years, and the accuracy is a bit off as o move my head and posture a lot. There are much better models released since, so I'd be looking for.more recent releases.
What computer do you use? I am considering getting this tablet and I need a new laptop/computer
I think the pen performs better on the Gaomon. It is smaller, but it also has shortcut keys that the GT 191 lacks.
Brad Colbow Do you think Gaomon is too small? I currently have the intuos 5 large.
I didn't like the Ugee, the colors are off and the viewing angles arn't great.
Did you review a Parblo Coast 13 yet ?
I'm wondering how it stacks up....
These are second monitors, if any drawing program is laggy its probably due to your computer,
It has a screen protector over the glass screen.
Hey. Can you take this tablet everywhere you want without a laptop or can it work like a display tablet?
You need to plug it into a computer. Most tablets aren't stand alones or 2 in 1 tablets, and those that are tend to be either very very poor quality or 1k-2k dollars.
And this is already considered a screen display tablet. I believe you meant a stand alone or 2 in 1 tablet.
@@francinelipschutz6139 yeah I'm talking about that
@@francinelipschutz6139 Ok
Thank you for the recommendation tho ^^
You can take it with you WITH your laptop, but it will drain your laptop's battery.
Hi! I’m not sure if these were mentioned in the video but I have some questions, I’m very new to digital art and this may be my first tablet :)
Is this stand-alone or will I need a monitor?
Hi Brad Can I draw on the tablet but not have it mirror on my laptop?
Do you always have to bring a computer to connect it to the tablet or can you just take the tablet
Brad, you think is still worth getting the cintiq 27qhd?I know the new ones are around the corner, but I can't really afford to wait 2-3 months >.>...
iCRED dont get wacom, they have monoplozing prices.
If you can afford the Cintiq 27qHD, then you can't afford waiting. I like that logic. 😅
I think the new Cintiqs are going to be a huge step up. Hopefully they will reduce parallax like the smaller Cintiq pros did and also should be much higher resolution.
@Brad Colbow
Thanks mate, I definetly agree the new models will be a huge upgrade, but I found something on the new models...They aren't coming at the start of the year(as I had the imprssion) but mid 2018, so I guess I'll just have to go for the 27.From this wacom post I found out why the prices of 27 dropped too:
www.wacom.com/en-us/about-wacom/news-and-events/2017/1250
@Lily Vuong
Well, waiting for 7 months or even more and doing nothing, is not "affordable"(time wise) :P .
@BLING-BLING BOY
I understand your point of view.
My daughter wants a drawing tablet and this is the one I am
Liking the best for the price.
Do you have to plug in or can you draw a couple photos at the kitchen table and then plug into computer later to upload?
it needs to be plugged into the computer for you to use it. think about it like a monitor you use for your computer!
Its basically a second screen, I think a Galaxy Tab s3 would fit better since its only one device, or try getting a used Ipad pro since you can get them cheaper.
Wish my parents bought me this lol
Would you say that this or the XP pen drawing pad is better?
can you recommend another tablet for me (if you have a sec)? I really like this tablet, but I was wondering if you know of any other drawing tablets (with screen) that are cheaper. Unfortunately, $409 isn't exactly Christmas list friendly in my household, so I was hoping for any suggestions. thanks
Hunter Lol there is 5% discount : )
Another review said that the promotional price of 359.99 was going to last until the end of November, but it jumped to 409 already. Are you going to honor this?
yes, but the 5% discount only places it at around $388
interesting. thank you. Of course, its in another language, so that could cause some small complications :)
Great review as always Brad! Question: Do any of these Wacom Contiq alternatives have touch so I can rotate in photoshop as such? Thanks!
Love the avatar. No, these are pen only no touch. The one exception is the Dell Canvas.
Brad Colbow well that’s unfortunate. Thanks for the speedy reply! I’m a big Mario sunshine fan.
Is there a better version of this without or with less parallax? Maybe a bit more expensive if needed
Lower parallax is not cheap. Honestly, everywhere you go you'll find at least a little bit of parallax. The best tablets with minimal parallax would probably be Wacom. They're not cheap, but that's the price for low parallax.
I'm happy to say I managed to score one of these tablets off Ebay for under $150, lol. It works awesome so far!
Thanks for talking about tilt :) are there any Cintiq alternatives that do have tilt for PS and Corel Painter that you would recommend? Thanks for the great vids!
Not that I know of. All the ones I've tested don't have it.

My ugee 1910 b is broken and I want this but I’m not Sure. So should I get it
Brad, between the Huion 221 pro and this Gaomon PD1560
which one would you pick?
They are both pretty good. Comes down to what size you want.
So, do you think it just comes down to the size? Quality wise they are at the same level? Thanks Brad! I really appreciate your opinion!
I’ve seen some people saying that the screen resolution on the 221 isn’t that great, but I don’t know if it’s true
It's true. The resolution is the same but the screen is bigger on the Huion 221 Pro, so naturally the pixels will be slightly more obvious than that on a smaller screen
but that is not really an issue. That is a trade off because of the size of the monitor :S
Does it come with a drawing program? What type of Photoshop were you issuing and what program do you recommend?
It doesn't come with a drawing program. I think he was using Photoshop but its SUPER expensive. I recommend Autodesk sketch, Medibang, Fire alpaca, or Krita. They all work fairly well. U can get all of them for free. If u want to bunk it up a notch u can aim for paint tool sai but it's on the more expensive side.

the two fingers in the left hand is for if your left handed you'll know what i mean (i'm left handed myself) when you're drawing something on paper you see your hands and they are full of graffite and it smudges all the paper too and it's very annoying, so that's why the two fingers are there, so you don't smudge the screen with your fingerprints :)
