@@unvcht5046my Garmin and the Ultra series can get longer. Maybe a SE model or such that trades some features for more battery? Like swap the AOD and detailed health tracking with turning the screen off and tracking only a few essentials and notifications?
@@unvcht5046No… it’s not. Your watch should AT LEAST last a full 24 hours. You should not have to worry about charging your watch at a random time of the day. Don’t forget that Apple’s competitor’s (Garmin) watch can last weeks. The battery life swayed my decision between the Fenix 7 vs the Rugged Apple Watch.

The series 10 looks identical to the series 7 all the way up to the series 9 the only change is the screen is getting larger, and the bezel is shrinking. This is not a complete redesign at all.
It’s really sad. Just like they said IOS 18 was going to be a complete redesign, it seems they’re over promising to mask the inevitable plateau of apple upgrades. They could’ve done so much with this series X smh.
I'm still hoping for a much improved battery life - like a 3 day battery life...

kinda impossible as of the moment as their chip is faster than any other watches. if battery will improve, it's going to be a small improvement. i have other watches like garmin, huawei, and xiaomi. after using apple watch for the longest time, feels like my brain is lagging when i'm using a different smart watch.
Only me waiting for the battery specs? Have many years old Garmin on my wrist, and still 8-10 times longer battery time compared to a newer Apple Watch.

Simple answer: Use the watch, and not charge most of the time. Track the sleep, and not charge at night because the battery keep less than 24h. And not worry about charging all the time, just use the watch with no worries. Like Garmin understood, for example
@@Vitruvianus funny I have the ultra and don’t have a problem with the battery and I wear tonight. I simply put it on the charger for half hour to an hour when I get home from work and put it on before bed

Something doesn’t make sense. The next watch will be the series 10 and they’ve been saying that it marks the 10th anniversary all of this time, but in actuality the 10th anniversary is going to be next year? That doesn’t make any sense. Were they gonna call next year‘s watch?

This is definitely the year I'm upgrading my Series 5 (mostly because of the dropped software support), now gotta decide between the Ultra(3?) and the Series X
so design upgrades only ? i might be getting a garmin for better sleep tracking
I have the tiniest wrists so I have always gotten the smaller Apple Watches. Even the 41mm Series 9 is a bit big for me but I still got it anyway. Unsure about the Series X now.

Was thinking of waiting for buying the X, but because it got bigger and my wrist is too big for the 45mm it was an easy choise to now buy the series 9... Kinda sad, would have gotten the x if not for this

I purchased Omoda E5 here in Nepal 3 months back. Really loving it. Apart from few hiccups like auto wireless Carplay connection problem sometime and tyre pressure not updating live, I like it a lot. :)

I got Series 9 45mm from marketplace brand new for almost 40% off. So if anyone get lucky enough on marketplace no need to wait for new watch. It saves taxes and additional cost
Upgraded from a series 6 aluminium 44mm to ultra 2, love the bigger screen & battery life, however find it heavy & uncomfortable at times. Next watch almost certainly a stainless 45mm which has save glass as the ultra. My aging eyes appreciate the bigger easier to read screen

I loved my ultra 1 but after 1.5yrs of wearing it, it went boot looping after an unfinished software update. Needed to make 1-1 replacement with the cost of almost the new price. Broke my heart n my bank ofcoz, now not sure to keep purchasing this brand :( Garmin seems cool to me but lack of smartwatch features tho!

Why would you even think of upgrading? An apple watch can usually last 4-6 years without an issue. You can change the battery once it degrade.

I'm still rocking the series 4 too, will most likely get a Series X this year unless there's some decent upgrades to the ultra.

A watch should not have ang sharp edges so rounded corners still make sense for ergonomic purposes.

I don't want real leather anything! I have a small wrist but I prefer a bigger watch because I can see it better.
I don’t think it will be re-designed. From a watch - wear perspective it is already perfect to wear with rounded edges that doesn’t catch on the sleeves. The band / strap changing method is a milestone in all watch industry in terms of how strong , reliable and easy it is to change the strap. Not even top tier / luxury Swiss brands cannot do that. It is made from solid ( and depending on the model luxurious ) materials like stainless steel / ceramic / sapphire glass / titanium. Simply put it is very very wearable by a lot of people.

and yet... still not using sapphire crystal like AW Ultra.
They should put me to design their watches. I will make the standard Apple watch. Resemble the Apple watch ultra and the Apple watch ultra. We try to do a different design on that one

So very few changes at all, with the exception of a thinner watch? I don’t really care for a thinner watch, I prefer a slightly thicker watch, with a better battery. And thin watches are more of a dress watch style, to fit under a cuff. If anything, I’d really like to see a slightly smaller rugged watch, the current sizes are a bit too large for my wrist. Or, a round faced watch would be an instant upgrade for me.
Recommended wording: "NOT What You'd Expect!" instead of "Not What'd You Expect!"

Basically, previous rumors were misinfo or misreporting. Apple watch size, like all watches, denote the height of the case. Turns out the X is not 49mm, rather it is 46mm. Still larger, but hardly.

Super disappointed! Almost to the point of pissed off... This is a big year for the watch, and to just give such minor updates is very sloppy. The only thing I'm happy about is that they're not going round. I can't stand round watches. But I was really looking forward to upgrading my series 4 this year... not really sure I will now.
So basically another year without any (significant) design changes to the (dated) Apple Watch... Very disappointed!

Based on what they teach us in engineering school. When we design something we constantly think of ways it can be any different even if the original design was really good.
It’s possible that maybe they are/have? I don’t disagree, consumers except changes to the frame which may not always be in the products best interest
