I have an HP Envy that I bought in 2013 so I've had it for 8 years now. I still use it to this day. The only problem is the hinges which started to go bad after the 6th year of using the laptop. I'm not able to close the laptop anymore but uses two clips to hold the screen up. It is still fast and meets my needs (working on so many excel sheets, documents, Photoshop, etc.). Because my HP Envy laptop has served me so well, I'm looking to get a newer model of HP Envy with a Ryzen processor! Thank you Josh!
Nice review. I've had the 8-core variant of this laptop w/ 16GB memory, 400 nits display, and Wi-Fi 6 for about 3 months now and couldn't find anything to complain about. It's really fast for anything a casual user would throw at it. Highly recommend.

And now that you've mentioned it I can't focus on anything else! Oh well, win some lose some. I still really appreciate your work on the reviews.
Nice ! I asked you to review this laptop a few weeks ago, because I wanted to buy it. So thank you very much for doing a video on this laptop ! :) I already bought the laptop in July and I have to say I love it ! It really works perfectly fine for : - photo editing (luminar 3) - video editing (davinici resolve) - university (one note) - media comsumptiom (TH-cam/Netflix) I have to say I was especially surprised by the speakers because they make you feel as if the sound would be sourranding you! I choose to buy this laptop because I needed a Convertible for University, but I wanted to have a colour accurate panel for photo editing, too. This convertible is the only 2 in 1 laptop with a good colour accurate panel under 1000€ to this date. I purchased the variant with amd 4700u and 16gb ram for future proofing 🤷♂️ Edit: In my opinion the ssd is really fast - it takes 10seconds to boot and log in via finger print - very convenient ! Excellent review man! The nodding is not distracting. I think is more evident because you don't move your hands when speaking to the camera. Keep the good work!
I was interested in buying the Laptop for a few weeks and decided to buy it. I love EVERYTHING about it, but my only regret is that I bought the 8GB RAM version (The 16GB RAM one is $400 outside of my budget :( ). Other than that, It's great, I use it for programming, school, doodling, and watching Netflix. I also bought a 3-year warranty as you recommended. Without your videos, I would've never found another great laptop at such a good price. Thank You!
I think your head nodding is a part of your sincere and genuine personality! I don't think you need to worry about it at all. To be honest I come back your channel because how genuine your demeanour is, and your knowledge about laptops.
Let people have their own personality and traits. At the date, have been really hard for me to find a TH-cam channel with such a good reviews, explained in a clear and clean way. It's such a mix of knowledge and communications skills that I dare to say it's nearly unmatched. Of course, there are channels like Linux, but those are different, they have their own personalities and if you see one of his videos you expect something different, but with Josh, it's kind of a minimalistic video, showing only what is important and relevant for the common user (0 bullshit). Thanks Josh for such review, it was quite good. This is by far the best deal you can get with Ryzen inside. There always seems to be a compromise with Ryzen laptops. Whether it is the screen, the looks or the components inside. Not with this device. It looks amazing, performs well and costs way less than its Intel counterparts. The only issue is the availability. I've been trying to get my hands on the Ryzen 7 4700U/16GB RAM/512GB SSD version of this device for ridiculously long time here in Czechia and only succeeded last week when one (yes, literally the only onedevice in the entire country) became available in one of local eshops. It's such a shame, because this is genuinely incredible device. One thing I'd like to add to the review: The fan noise can be noticable when it's charging and performing heavy tasks. That being said, when I'm only doing some light work and/or when I'm on battery, the fan usually completely stops. That's a huge change for me as i previously had a laptop with i7 6700HQ which was incredibly loud even when it was doing literally nothing. Funnily enough, this little device with Ryzen is way more powerful. I'd also recommend you to get the HP Rechargeable MPP2.0 Tilt Pen. Mine was included with the laptop and it truly unlocks the potential of the touchscreen. It also magnetically attaches to few different positions around the screen so you don't have to worry you lose it :)

Your reviews are great Josh, Laptop makers really need to significantly improve webcam quality with so many people working from home.
Great Review, I find 13" small to do multi tasking and coding, nothing can beat a 15". !5 inches laptops are lighter nowadays that it doesn't justify getting a 13". I have a XPS 13 and I truly regret getting it. I am about to get a 15" Omen thanks to you. It sucks the lack of ports as well, and support for 3-4 monitors.
Keep it up
Very comprehensive. Much appreciated. Thank you
Didn’t notice the head nodding till you mentioned it !! Haha Now I can’t unsee it !! Great point about the 13” display ... I’ll now look at the 15” , great advice .
Managed to snag this great laptop in the 4700U 16GB RAM spec here in the UK a couple months ago , this spec is now sold out everywhere here 😮
Have you used this laptop much since the review? Have you encountered any hinge problems?
Really interested in this laptop. The only concern is the 8GB RAM, do you think it will keep up in, let's say, 3 years?
I love your videos. You are my fav laptop reviewer!!!!
You are so professional dude! Keep on going
Thank youu for the honest review Josh!!
Great review. Definitely subbed!
is the 300 nit panel model worth it ??
One of my favorite tech reviewer. Direct to the Point and has an alternative recommendation in case its not the one suitable for you. Hope this man gets more subs. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. I watch your tech stuff mostly. GOD BLESS. 😇👍
I like your reviews, practical and honest. Keep it up!
Such a high quality channel
Thank you my man for the good reviews!!
Miss the old setup, but hope to see this in its full glory soon!
I promise you, it will improve over time!
Never understood why HP laptops are more expensive in the UK. $800 for that is a steal, had to drop 1000 on a previous gen equivalent which I ended up returning because of how poor the screen ghosting was. Wish we had those prices over here 🥺
Told you it was good! :) Thanks for the good reviews, and happy I bought this beast a few months back!
I like every aspect of this laptop, but I need to know whether this laptop is capable of running CAD software's like AutoCAD CATIA ANSYS(for a college student)?
Basic usage likely fine but I would advise on getting a laptop with a dedicated GPU cuz it will perform much better.
@@blendrugova2426 Thanks for the advice 👍
Rahul go for HP Omen
If you're buying from India, the HP Envy available here is specced at 8gb(soldered) and 256gb, that won't be enough for you
@@ajinkya_3131 I'm looking for thin and light form factor. Omen is a bit heavier for me, Thanks though 🙏
@@Rahul-sb3nf Can you consider Zephyrus g14?
It doesn't have a webcam though
I honestly did notice the head nodding until you mention it, not I can't unseen it xD
Still you are my go to guy for choosing a laptop!
Keep up the great work!
You’re hilarious. Thank you for all the work and time and attention to detail you put into these videos. Appreciate it.
Thanks Karen!
Your reviews are soo professional, and I don’t mind the head nodding!
I never noticed nodding until you said s’thin. Just disregard those comments. Some people are so unhappy, that they feel the need to pick on others.
Keep up the great work & just do you! 👍🏻🧑🏻💻
