Skellige in the Witcher is probably named after the Skellig Islands off of the west coast of Ireland. I can't think of any Norse connections to a name similar to Skeggi, other than it is kiiinda similar to what the Norse called Native Americans; skræling (plural skrælinger) (æ is pronounced like the A in cat or apple) Edit: Ah yep you found the answer
