Just a warning to Australians. It's illegal to have a remote control number plate hiding mechanism fitted to your car in Australia. I doesn't matter if you have them showing whilst on the road. As long as they can be controlled by a remote control, it is illegal.

The electronic plate is just asking for someone to just come steal your 600 dollar plate. Unless, contrary to what the video showed, it's bolts aren't so easily accessible.

I thought of a light up letters and number on a license plate but it's illegal for now ??. I think it would look good and easy to read at night.... but if you have old plates that are no longer in use then it can be made for a design to hang on a wall or in a garage..

Thatoneguy Mccool the tolls are cheaper than lawyers for a felony case. In a lot of states hiding your plates to evade tolls or anything else is a felony, even if the toll is $1.

Traffic police in your country does not remove licence plates?
Here in Greece in some circumstances the policeman can unscrew them and take them to the Police Station (in some serious offences) and you have to pay to take them back or in some cases they seized them for 10-20-30 days etc.
If the Police here sees that he can not remove your licence plates then calla for the crane to come or after leaving the ticket on your front wind-shield they add a note ''bring both of your licence plates to the Traffic Police Station in 5 days" and if you don't do it they send a registered letter to you at home and if you ignore this too then they send you to the Court.

The one I didn't like is the plate where you can put the key in but what if it's a smart key they can open the trunk and if it's a suv they can steal it but if it's a sedan there are lower rates because so e cars have a opening form the back seat like my BMW in the rear middle seat theirs a latch to open a door that lead to the trunk just so you can get small things on the go mostly that latch is locked but what if it was left open so I recommend not buying that one...

What we need is a dummy plate, so you can have your real plate displayed then swapped out with a dummy to avoid parking tickets and photo radar. Still risky if a cop runs your plate while on patrol and sees its not registered to anything. Maybe could use for just parking only.

Fading the traffic camera is probably the main use case. If a policeman is involved and he runs the plate or he sees the flipping, you'd be in bigger trouble.
