As you can see here: th-cam.com/video/pzq6ntay4t4/w-d-xo.html Mitsubishi Montero could have electronic imitation lock and could have no electronic imitation. it depends from car specification.
Why it's a locker imitation? I mean is not an E locker in the rear axle of pajero? It's just some imitation for a e locker, wich is automatic, and turn on by itself, when the front wheel lose traction? It works like abs or esp, and you can't controll it? Because as far as i know, inside the cabine, just in front of the gear shifter, ther is a R/D Lock switch. I thaught that is a real E locker.. that works like the air locker, the only difference is this is an electronic locker. Correct me if i'm wrong. Sorry for my bad english, and cheers from Romania.
First : 05:51 look the man 🤣🤣🤣 He activate 4WD 🤣🤣 Pass the compilation. And if you want to win, you must be driver . Because driver full effect to win.
Why are you so bias in this test? First part "Diagonal suspension": Why Mitsu was put in off road mode and LC in its on-road mode? If the center diff lock was engaged in 4high then a-trac would kick in and LC would easily drive out with minimum spin just like mitsu did. Second "Climbing": Mitsu took completely different path avoiding those big rocks/bumps on the driver's side. LC (without center lock) lost the momentum after hitting first rock... and NO, when you said he engaged 2low he DID NOT! There is no way he managed to put car in N, engaged 2 low and back to D in such a short time. Then, the driver hits the second big rock again and paused for few secs, but I doubt he locked rear diff (as you stated), because there was right wheel spin throwing out sand where left wheel was moving slowly. This proves there was no lock. Was this done on purpose to discredit LC, or is it just a driver first time offroading?
Interesting test. Why wouldn't the driver engage in Low 4x4 mode at first? The test assumes the driver is not capable of off-roading or? First, a driver should not stop during the climb unless he intentionally wants to get stuck. Perhaps, you are running based on a novice off-roader?
The video clearly shows the work of all-wheel drive, ranging from base and ending with low. Perhaps, after watching this video, a person will be able to determine the choice of an SUV according to its abilities.
@@SUVBattle Not sure if I can agree with it. To me, it seems the driver is just not prepared for off-loading. It doesn't matter if it's a million-dollar truck. If the driver doesn't know - it will eventually get stuck. Have you guys done a true off-loading like driving into a desert or mountain for extended days?
Experienced offroad driver definitely know all the tricks of driving and capabilities of their vehicles. These videos tries to clearly show for much more wide audience what buyers/owners can and can't expect from their cars in different modes.
I completely agree with you. The same tires will add objectivity. But since I do not have a car tire factory, we work with what we have. At the moment, we are checking that the tire pressure corresponds to the factory values (for each car individually).
First of all I own a Pajero so good stuff however these are all terrible off road drivers. What’s with the starting off in high range? Any time on rough terrain, low range, high range 4wd is really just for loose dirt roads, snow and towing caravans. Steady constant speed, not fast and slow, braking on and off, plan your route and take it steady. Graded dirt? Leave it in 2h. You don’t come into water with speed, ease in, maintain constant steady speed, revs up. Lower tyre pressures would have helped on the climbs too.

I have plans to shoot these cars. Subscribe to not to miss this video.
In some markets the Pajero comes with a rear diff-lock as standard.
Ja, my 2001 diesel kortwielbasis het een. Ek skop dikwels Landy manne se gatte in moeilike situasies. Groete van een gogga aan 'n ander!
@@jenskriek4280 Netso!
um when is the next video coming up?
Hope until the end of this week
Very nice off-road test. The Mitsubishi has great history but marketing killed them
Thanks for your feedback! What cars would you like to see on this obstacle?
I'm a Montero gen 2.5 2.8 turbo diesel LWB proud owner 👍🏻😃
So?
You should bring all the legends together and do a comparison video. Pajero, land cruiser, Land Rover and patrol.
Even mitsubishi will be surprised to see this paid promotion at its best
I know, Never in my more than 55 years , heard of Mitsubishi Pajero , better than a land cruiser and a Nissan patrol.
@@totomaxwell8080 Welcome to the real world. Land cruisers and Patrol are great vehicles, but they need some modifications to do its thing as they are conceived as a sort of platform vehicles. The Mitsubishi usually is kinda underrated but is one of the most capable in stock form.
Where u born in the last 10 years? If not,you should get out more often
You re tests are as fair as posibile! Great video! More?
Wow, you have some great content on your channel! Great video. Where is your king of the hill video? I can't find it.
At first, it looked like the comparison was not fair to Mitsubishi, but after watching...good job Mitsubishi.
That Patrol looks good
Very nice, thanks for upload, my brother.
Thanks for your feedback! What cars would you like to see on this obstacle?
@@SUVBattle I love your videos! Your tests are very realistic unlike many other off road reviews done by other youtubers. I would love to watch your videos from your main channel. Unfortunately , I can’t understand Russian. If you can put a subtitle on them or even better do a voiceover, I am pretty sure there is a big audience who would appreciate it.
Nice explanation and good presentation
To all of the mitsubishi montero sports have the electronic imitation locks? How do they work? Cause mine does not climb with a wheel off the ground
As you can see here: th-cam.com/video/pzq6ntay4t4/w-d-xo.html
Mitsubishi Montero could have electronic imitation lock and could have no electronic imitation. it depends from car specification.
No, Montero Sport does not have the same system the big one has. Some of them are AWD but most of them don’t have the traction Control.
Bravo MITSUBISHI !!!
Congratulations Mitsubishi Montero.
My favorite suv.....
I have gen 4 pajero with the rdl option. In two minds whether to lift it or not
I know a person with a 2” lift kit on a gen 4 2014 Pajero and it is a definite upgrade that I would recommend
Also price
5:50 activated leg lock XD
That part made me laugh so loudly😂😭
Why it's a locker imitation? I mean is not an E locker in the rear axle of pajero? It's just some imitation for a e locker, wich is automatic, and turn on by itself, when the front wheel lose traction? It works like abs or esp, and you can't controll it? Because as far as i know, inside the cabine, just in front of the gear shifter, ther is a R/D Lock switch. I thaught that is a real E locker.. that works like the air locker, the only difference is this is an electronic locker. Correct me if i'm wrong.
Sorry for my bad english, and cheers from Romania.
Cool video but who’s Mr Bishi? 😂
Wher is this King of the hill episode?
Montero/Pajero 👍👍👍
Patrol 👍👍
LC 👍
Want to see you repeat this with a 2nd gen Montero.
Wow great review, I think I will stick with Mitsubishi Pajero. Overall it performed better.
Maybe I'm missing something or just not seeing it but can some one link me to the vid he previewed....
It will be available later
I had discovery, pajero 3 2002 , i've got land cruiser but I'll buy pajero. Its best and biggest inside- this time mk4
First : 05:51 look the man 🤣🤣🤣
He activate 4WD 🤣🤣
Pass the compilation.
And if you want to win, you must be driver .
Because driver full effect to win.
It is most "intellectual" and effective 4WD system! ;-)
Montero!!!! Impressive!!!
And after the video the pajero does not close the doors because it has no chassis and has little torsional rigidity
Should install the same tires on all of them to show which system performs better
Montero tore threw the water like nothing , amazing
5:46 when you see it lol😂😂
Weird, according to this video the pajero is gods gift to offroading, but they are nowhere to be seen when i offroad 🤔
Would be interesting to see the Pajero vs newer SUVs...
Give the land cruiser to a better driver.
Are these SUVs been driven by the same driver? If not, this is not fair.
First generation Mercedes ML W163 please!
A good idea! But automakers are releasing too many new cars that it will be difficult to get to the old generation cars. But I will keep in mind.
@@SUVBattle It will be an interesting comparison with the other brands, the ML was the king at one time, it has a capable traction control system and low gear
Whose brilliant idea was it to put in an LC200 without off-road control???
Such things come standard with the current LC
But it's not the 200 series it's the 205 series a base model land cruiser
