Love how you had the segment talking about what the turns looked like at different hand counts. That seems like it would be super helpful to people trying to master Mary!
Haha I have commited like 90% of my board game time over the last 2 years to this game so hopefully my expertise is showing! Thanks for watching Sam and more to come soon!
Yeah that matchup must be so painful for Mary since none of her cards do ANY damage if Trash Talked 🥵 Good think Luke only has 13 health Thanks for watching!
Thank God, for your videos! I’ve been catching up on all of the Unmatched Content and your videos help me not feel so far behind the curve. Love all of your content and looking forward to the next video 🐄 Fun fact about mirrors the Further the way you are the smaller you look ;)
Can't wait for the double attack video! I don't like the second attack trigger even when the target is no more available... it was a good way for "old character" to counter these new strong cards. What do you think?
Yeah the more I think about it the more I don't like how double attacks ALWAYS happen, regardless of movement and/or the attacker dying. A lot of older characters really can't deal with them card for card from a value perspective and they get dumpstered as a result ☹
@@BakedGoods What happens if one defends a double attack card with a defense card that has an after combat effect like "move your fighters 5 places away". Does that mean that the defender dodges the second attack then, and does not need to play a 2nd defense card against it?
One addendum to Bloody Requiem/Bloody Reprise. Bloody Reprise is a During Combat effect. I they played a skirmish or something bug on Bloody Requiem, they could decide to use a feint on Bloody Reprise. That makes Reprise a 0. I don't know if that's usually a good idea, but if they get caught without a lot of other defenses in hand it may be their best option. It still pulls a big defense card and a feint for Mary, so probably still a positive for her.
I’ve been enjoying your videos a lot, as I’ve been accumulating expansions over the last month but have only played a few games. It’s likely just my limited familiarity with BM, but i had a hard time following this video. I guess I’ll have to watch it a third time and have the cards in hand to follow along better.
Do you have any specifics or is it just hard to follow in general? I make a lot of assumptions about the experience of my viewers and sometimes am not actually helpful to most of my audience oops Playing more games will certainly help, especially with the character in the Strategy Guide you are watching. I see how trying to absorb all of the information with no prior experience could be very challenging. I would like to add something else about these videos is that while I do provide ideal uses for each card, often times in real games not all of those situations present themselves and most often you have to make the best decision in the many 'weird' gamestates you will find yourself in. Hopefully that tidbit helps add some perspective to this. Please let me know any other thoughts you have!
@@BakedGoods I think the main challenge was a like of familiarity with the cards (not immediately know what your talking about when you name a card.) I know you have the powerpoint slides and bullet points, but I got lost on the 2 slides in the middle as you’re talking about sequencing and movement. Perhaps some visual aids would help. (An image of a board, with a highlighted space and then a dotted line showing maneuver paths and the cards -even opponents’- appearing on screen and stacking on one another with sequencing.) I understand this creates a lot more work on your end, but it may be an element that is able to take your content from great to excellent. None of this is a complaint, I just know that as a new player, I wasn’t able to absorb as much from this video. Z’s Bloody Mary video did a good job of presenting the visual aids in discussion. You normally do a great job with that, I just got lost on those two slides because I didn’t just know exactly what you were talking about until I had cards in hand while listening.
paint the reflection of you painting the mini on the mini's mirror but yeah seems like that mini (one of my favorites btw) is a tough thing to paint, especially since mirrors aren't a color lol
Another great video in the books! Mary is one of the coolest heroes and is super to play and play against. I know that trick of the light is a subpar card, but for whatever reason I love it as a chase down card on offense. Also, I consider myself the second best Mary 😜. Can't wait for your Yennenga video and T. Rex impressions!
I don't have a mirror fun fact but a question instead. If you summon Bloody Mary through a one way mirror: is she unable to come out or is she stuck in your bathroom after she killed you?
I think my only actual objection has to do with your focus on almost exclusively a low hand count, which only is optimal against feintless or low feint characters imo. Otherwise I think I agree with everything! Great in depth analysis at different hand counts!
Yeah I did touch on that a little bit, but hopefully I highlighted how Mary can be a menacing, aggressive hero that puts a ton of pressure on the opponent and makes them play around your handsize weirdly Can't wait for your BM video... 👀
Hello! I want to ask about a bonus attack. Does bonus attack count as second action? For example: if i play a Bloody Requiem card, perform bonus attack, and then play a Speak Three Times card, can i boost it as a third action card? Can i find this in rules somethere?
Fun mirror fact! When you close your eyes, your reflection doesnt :)

It was super helpful for ME to map that out 😂
Still not super great at Mary despite my affinity for her
You’re so knowledgeable on this game bro 😂 it’s incredible. Great video once again. Can’t wait to see more of the series
Haha I have commited like 90% of my board game time over the last 2 years to this game so hopefully my expertise is showing! Thanks for watching Sam and more to come soon!
Sherlock is the only cobble and fog fighter that would actually use a mirror. I also thought Jekyll and Hyde but they are always breaking mirrors.
Dang Luke Cage playing Trash Talk on a three action turn has to feel so bad. Great guide as always!
Yeah that matchup must be so painful for Mary since none of her cards do ANY damage if Trash Talked 🥵

Thanks for watching Rich, glad I can be informative!
Fun mirror fact: One of the heresiarchs of Uqbar has stated that mirrors and copulation are abominable, since they both multiply the numbers of man.

That's a super weird interaction that has actually happened to me before and is soooo worth it for Mary!

Fun fact about mirrors: they're hard to paint on Mary's mini. I made up for them not really looking like glass with blood effects haha

Cool stuff. Thanks!
Great video! Just one note, trick of the light can also be used to get out of a pin if you’re caught without good defenses. Still not a great card.
Favorite fighter gets a viiiid. We love to see it.
We do indeed love to see it
Fun fact about mirrors: when you watch this video in a mirror Taylor starts a video with a YAY and ends up with "WHAAATS UP LEGENDS"
😂😂😂
Yay more guides

Oops, didn't hear you say Dark Blade... Probably not the second best Mary haha. 🗡️🐉👸
haha still top 3 though! That's a bronze medal!
Thanks for watching and hopefully the T Rex video is out soon!

I came here to say this
Really good video! Especially if you like being wrong about everything Mary! 😜

It doesn’t count as a separate action, it is a separate attack however
19:40 and Daredevil. Technically. Oh and Luke Cage.
Yup, didn't really think about the new Marvel stuff for this video haha
2 things are certain for Mary: Death and Taxes
Happy days are here again
Enjoy!
Which other character(s) do you think is good to have on a team with Bloody Mary in 2v2?
Fun mirror fact: If you look closely, you can see Hubert :)
Hubert 😍
Who's Hubert?
FIRST EVEN AT WORK BABY
You're the goat 👏
I like the deck, but I think that her ability must be buffed to trigger always.
ALWAYS? Regardless of hand count? Perma-Extra Action seems too good, no?
But you need extreme timing
Doesn't that defeat the object of the theme?
@@TPH250290 Nah, I don't think so.
