Responding to some comments from the old video: Thank you to Joshua Bart, Lexi and Mirko Srndovic for pointing out the issue in the previous upload. I appreciate y'all! Mirko Srndovic: "aggro" is short for aggressive. Usually characters like the Raptors or Bullseye want to attack every opportunity they can, applying constant pressure with nasty attacks. Some characters can respond well to this, others can't. Lexi and Daniel Keim: Bullseye V Yen is such a fun matchup, because while I think it is slightly Bullseye favored, Yen still has a lot of ways to win if she gets an opening. Great experience for both sides from my experience, although there are times where you just feel helpless as Yen which is an odd feeling. Daniel Keim: Stallion WRECKS Elektra's Hand/Fist combo absolutely. That matchup is heavily Elektra favored from the UML data and I have no idea why. Yen seems to have so many helpful tools. Front_ed: I'll see if I can make a counters/weakness video, although I believe Jeremy at To The Table Top! has made a great video in that category already if you want to go check his out. The Brekker: Sinbad is by far her worst matchup, but Bloody Mary, Little Red, Bullseye and apparently Elektra all have winning matchups into her. Having map AND starting position is really important for these counters however, as Yen with one of those choices has a lot higher chance. Although her chances are usually no worse than 40ish% (except vs Sinbad, that's like 80-90% Sinbad favored)
I would not trust the Yen v Elektra stats. I think yen is one of the most equipped fighters to deal with Elektra and people just don't know how to play it yet. I've won every time I've played that matchup (though it was only twice 😜)
I didn't find any kind of guide at "To The Table Top" channel. There are only characters` review but it isn't a strategy guide at all and it doesn't higlight any tricks and tips. I think it's more fore new players in Unmatched. I mean I like your "Bullseye map" and "Consistency" guides cause they feel deaper and gives me another point of view on the game. And I really like that fealing : )
My thoughts on Yennenga: Love her obviously! My favorite thing is how dang versatile she is and how she can adapt to most any matchup. Never usually has a clear win condition from turn 1, so you just gotta skill your way through the game and uncover the win-con as you go. I agree that using MotH is not good for triple maneuver. Might as well hold it and bluff having defense most often. (Though there are some times where that's correct, such as against raptors where you desperately need cards) Man I almost thought you were HatChowder at that one point, but you're right you didn't talk nearly fast enough 😂
Concerning Yennenga blocking the archer versus the archer blocking her. I know the conventional wisdom is to have Yenn block so you can decide where the damage goes. Countering that for certain situations, if the opponent deals 4 damage to Yennenga you can have her take some and send others to the archers. If they deal 4 to an archer, the archer just dies. It's essentially 2 damage (or 1 depending on health). This is the one way that you can make damage disappear.
Who takes the hit is never really a black and white decision for Yen, since there are always reasons for and against Archers taking the hits I think in general, having 'control' over the incoming damage and forcing your opponent into attacking who YOU want them to is more important for Yen than perhaps any other hero. Hard to do against Ranged but against Melee it helps Yen shine ✨
The after combat for Pin The Prey is useless if the archer dies, right ? You say the after combat is so great, which it is, but im confused because if the archer dies from the attack then the after combat is pointless
Because the Buffy set is not super important for tournaments, the strategy guides for that set are not high priority videos right now. I’ll probably just make a Buffy SG and then a rant video on why the other 3 characters are absolute cheeks.
IMO Battle of Legends VOl 2 chracters are way too much upgraded and too overpowered compared to older expansions.....Specially the double attack cards (Or Achilles's ability after his sidekick dies, good lord...) Makes games very uneven from now on.
Can you list some of the matchups you've played? I agree that the double attacks can be absolutely devastating, especially against some of the early releases, but I think for the most part the set is fine. The Marvel sets did a good job bringing Yen and Wukong back down to Earth.
@@BakedGoods Altough I beat Yennenga with Robin Hood My Beowulf was absolutely destroyed by Achilleus. He's ability is crazy, after Patroklos dies and he puts down his DOUBLE attack cards with +2 bonus for each attack, you are fried... Yennenga also has some unfair cards though-and in general, with the non BOL-2 characters you can't at least punish back the double attacks with another double attack, so your decks will get pretty uneven.... In a BOL2 vs BOL2 matchup, the card burning forced by double attacks at least can be punished back.
I would disagree, as Yennenga isn't so fun after all. I find her boring to play because the gameplay boils down to just poking your opponent, staying alive, ressurecting archers, and then going all-in with Master of the Hunt. It's a pretty linear strategy, and she as a character just has so many stats, not even taking into account her deck (it's very strong, the only downside is no feints, but who cares when you have excellent values and the ability to mitigate damage with Archers). To her credit, there is some difficulty to Yen, as positioning is important, as well as knowing when to be aggressive and when to stay safe, but it just feels like a new player could pick up Yennenga and win against any hero (not counting Sinbad, it's gross). Out of all BoL v2 heroes she's my least favorite because there aren't a lot of difficulties playing Yen, as compared to Wukong, who needs to manage his clones and position himself accordingly, or for example Mary, who needs to manage her hand size every turn to get value, or even Achilles, who needs to time Pat's death well to get the most out of his ability, not to mention keep in mind his deck size. All in all, there's no denying that Yen is strong, but she doesn't feel as skillful to play as opposed to like Sherlock or Little Red. Bad Yennenga is hard to beat if your hero isn't an actual counterpick, and good Yen is just unbeatable. Playing as her is of course cool, because you'll usually win if you are good at Unmatched, but still, in my opinion, other top tier characters require more skill and their reward is worse than Yen's.

@@zeroskatr12 yeah we played one of those early in that ladder season. I am absolutely baffled by that matchup data so far!
Wow. I've seen just a few Jeremy's videos. But now found much more content there. Thank you. I will check. :)

Fine, I'll watch it again 😁

Let’s goooooo
does it count as yennenga winning the combat if she doesn't take any damage but assigns some to her archers?
pretty sure no. i mean she still lost.
As JF said, it does not
The attack dealt damage, and thus won the combat, even tho Yen’s ability let her move it elsewhere
The after combat for Pin The Prey is useless if the archer dies, right ? You say the after combat is so great, which it is, but im confused because if the archer dies from the attack then the after combat is pointless
The Pin the Prey effects will still trigger even if the archer dies! So the movement and the discard will be guaranteed unless canceled.
Do you plan on doing Buffy set after Battle of Legends vol 2 or you want to pretend it didnt happen?
Probably he is ignoring that amount of trash.

YES!
