Plans are overrated, paralysis by analysis 9. What makes you weird makes you wonderful, being different is a competitive advantage
Listening to you has made me be okay with talking normally and calmly. Unlike a lot of creators I see who are super excited while talking on camera. I can't.
To be very honest there is something very magnetic about the way Chris speaks. The emotional expression is almost too prefectly balanced. It's like irobot. It's all in the brand though, not everyone can have the same effect.
I'm a musician and I truly think Chris Do's knowledge isn't confined to the design industry only. It can be applied to all areas of expertise. I'm thankful for The Futur.
This is one of those videos that after I watch, I just sit and think about the amount of value I just got in a short amount of time and feel blessed. Thanks TheFutur and Chris for all the amazing value you provide, God Bless!
I needed this. I just started creating TH-cam videos last weekend geared towards helping creatives who want to reach financial independence. My videos gained some traction and shot up to 600 views and I gained 20 subscribers while receiving SEVERAL emails thanking me for talking about saving and investing. The artists in our world are starving for financial literacy sources that speak to them. If I can have a percentage of the impact that the Futur has had in teaching business to creatives, I could die happy.
I've been wrestling with illustrator and unsuccessful illustrations half an hour ago, feeling incredibly frustrated, just then opening TH-cam and this video comes up. Just about 10 mins of your content and my bad mood is turned around, I feel my persistance levels soar again! I'm rewatching because I'm taking notes. Such valuable content, especially the persist and resist (distractions are everywhere...) and you made a refreshing point when you said that no opinion can hurt without your permission. Thank you!
on point no. 7 " you are a poor judge of your own talent" i recommend anyone to look up "obvious to you, amazing to others by Derek Sivers interesting point he is making, also great video !
Mentoring at it's best. What resonates with what I hear from you is "focus on giving value and it will be reciprocated" ( in money, love etc) Trying to live it out. 💪
“Move in a direction, adjust as you go” - did you know the space shuttle was off course over 99% of the time going to the moon? It was the small adjustment overtime that got the astronauts there and back. (Must of read that somewhere). Great tips Chris, I never tire of your teaching and wisdom. All the best. Paul 😎
Who is here for the long term! 🤡🥲🥲🥰? Thanks so much for this advice, I feel its things that we “know” but its not until you practice them that you KNOW them. This really encourages me to keep going.
6:35 - I heard Dr David Jeremiah say it this way once and it’s stuck with me over the years: “When you move on what you know, everything becomes clear. When you don’t move on what you know, what you don’t know will paralyze you.”
Great pearls here for anyone doing something they've never done before. I'm not a designer and I will benefit from this. Thank you The Futur! I've been following for 2.5 years now!
Chris Do.. I'm a big Big Big fan, you are an inspiration and meeting you in that phase of my life means i'm doing great and my journey is way exciting than I could imagine. Thank you again for being generous.
1, 4 and 5 are my favourites in this list, Chris! Consistency, bravery to try new things and make mistakes, along with ditching perfection have been game changers in my journey ❤️

800 Videos, WOW! That is commitment. I appreciate all you do, these videos are so full of knowledge, every time I watch one of your videos, I nerd out with all the information, I geek for you. But seriously, thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I am binging everything on this channel. I just started a YT channel and l have 56 people. Who are my family and friends... This is helping me soo much!! Thank you
The amount of respect I have for Chris, I just can’t wait to meet him so I can tell him face to face. This is a great guy. I never miss a video trust me.
I loved this video. I find myself struggling between the lines of allowing negative comments to affect me. Referring to 1:44. Especially when I seek out someone in the field asking for their thoughts. I'm learning to not take it seriously. But my struggle is the value I place on the person who is thriving and qualified in their field. Also 3:19. I want everything to be so perfect that I will spend hours fixing ad tweaking. I learned a lot from this one. Thanks The Futur.
I love almost all of your content but I have to say that this video is probably one of my top five of all time. Soooo much truth. Congrats on your 1 million - you deserve it!
Congrats on the milestone!! Totally 'normal' tho as u guys just keep sharing stuff thats superhelpful and valuable for MANY.... Just like this. THANK YOU :)) and may many more subscribe and bring joy on both sides of the screen
thank you so much Chris Do - following these steps will most likely lead us into the belly of the beast - in which having these notes will be very useful.
Great video, love this. Thank you. My main takeaway is doing vs success. Just the act of doing, starting from something small and doing it every day, your momentum will start to build. The fun metric is huge, to keep the content flowing and not planned perfectly, so you won't suffer analysis paralysis. Keep up the inspiring work.
Eye opening. Like even though I deep down realized some of the points you made, hearing you say it in the way you did really resonated with me. Thank you
Thank you for sharing this... It's a great reminder and source to revisit as needed.. A friend of mine shared this with me and I am so glad she did.. Blessings Always... I am going to check out the books you mentioned 🙏🏿💯
Excellent video! Even if it is mostly a confidence booster it doesn't make it untrue! I can relate to every obstacle mentioned. I am 28 days into my channel and the latest video blows the first video out of the water. I learn more every day as you said!
While perusing for practical tips I find myself on this refreshing vid with philosophical guidance towards content creation and it's just what I needed. "Perfectionism is the enemy of execution" should be tattooed on the back of my hands lol
Love this video! Got me motivated to work harder for my newly found niche. I've been following you since 2018 when I was building my IG artwork account. But now I found something I will stick to for a longer time. Im building this channel slowly with baby steps. Thanks for this! ❤️
This channel is perhaps the most underrated on all of TH-cam
Appreciate it
Definitely! 👍🏼
💯x💯

Same here - so underrated and completely fine!
Thank you 🙏

The Futur speaks the truth... All day... Everyday!!!
I'm a musician and I truly think Chris Do's knowledge isn't confined to the design industry only. It can be applied to all areas of expertise. I'm thankful for The Futur.
Glad to hear.
I was thinking the exact same thing

Man I need these as a reminder on the wall, tattooed on my arm, everywhere

It’s a goal worth pursuing.
These words are not just for 2022 but for everytime.❤
“A failure is the tuition for success” 🙌🏽

I didn't know that about the shuttle. good find.
yes I heard about this story before, thanks, good reminder
I don't think the Space Shuttle ever went to the moon...maybe an Apollo rocket or 2, but no Space Shuttle.
Who is here for the long term! 🤡🥲🥲🥰? Thanks so much for this advice, I feel its things that we “know” but its not until you practice them that you KNOW them. This really encourages me to keep going.
Very true! When you stop mistaking failure with dissapointment & fear, and in stead see it as an opportunity to grow. Then nothing can stop you!
"Done is better than perfect" 😍

Love that.
“Failure is the tuition you pay for success.” OMG what a statement! Wow.
read this
Honestly, this video is probably the best video on the channel right now. More people need to see this.
I just live this guy. He repeats the truth over and over until we succeed.
here for you until you do.
1:34 I come home after school and check your channel every day. I love you bro

I absolutely love how these tips have nothing to do with anything technical, because the growth is really in the grind.
That’s the thing no one wants to hear.
But it's absolutely the thing we need to hear!
Content on this channel always on my replay list...grateful!!

I'm excited to see you in Graphika Manila online 2021
You could easily replace the term ‘content creation’ with the word ‘life’ in the title for this. 💯
