So Singapore have 3 LRT lines. Bukit Panjang LRT, Sengkang LRT and Punggol LRT. The latest LRT line is the Punggol LRT line. Which opened in 2005. But will there ever be another LRT Line for Singapore? Watch the video to find out.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time. Take care and stay safe.

Think better they upgrade the Bukit Panjang one first. Maybe bring it up to the same standard and Punggol and Sengkang before talking about a completely new LRT.
LTA say they are upgrading the Bukit Panjang LRT to a better standard.
@@samsam21amb so they changing the whole place or just one
How bout making it link to bukit batok and to jurong and increase convenience linking with the other lines at jurong
@@samsam21ambonly the car
Well there were plans for the Jurong Region "LRT". but it became an "MRT" (emphasis on the " ") after some modifications.
I think Owenton and Waterfront LRT/Line
OW1/TE2 Woodlands
OW2/WAT4/YS7C Eston - Westwood [YS7C in Future]
OW3/HL1/NE1/CC29 Harbourvale [HarbourFront station]
OW4/TE22A/ST15 Founder's Memorail
OW5/CW8 Chepstowe
OW6/TS1/YS11B Carpathia [YS11B In future]
More stations under 🚧
I think a pasir ris lrt could be potential even though they are going to build 2 brand new mrt stations and one interchange station on the crl
Hougang can also be possible
However the problem with Hougang is that:
1) There are buses, they might still likely replace LRT
2) There isn’t a lot of space for stations or paths without removing any trees or buildings nearby.
3) The areas near Hougang actually aren’t that far, making LRT a bit pointless.
4. LRT should not be built underground too, leaving no choice for many towns, unless Singapore Government had a plan to make LRT more of an “MRT”
Maybe Kovan and Serangoon?
I think there will be an lrt in bedok from the reservoir to maybe east coast park, but idk whether will it meet the same fate as the jurong region line
If thats possible then surhjwienIAKJDSKAKJ
I heard there is going to be an LRT from Tuas to Changi via Woodlands and Marina Bay with rubber wheels and a glass carriage.
Since the 4th lrt line is cheaper than mrt, new mrt lines are better than I think. Also, Singapore's first new mrt line is the Thomson East Coast line. More new mrt lines are coming soon in the future.
Jai Shree Ram 🙏🙏🙏
I think potential areas for LRT will be the Tengah new estate, Seletar Aerospace Park, Tuas and maybe the future greater southern waterfront at Tanjong Pagar.
What if they put the LRT track that connects Sengkang and Punggol into operation? I don’t think that will actually happen since there is already the NEL. However, to facilitate conveniency, the might connect Cheng Lim to Punggol or Soo Teck.
Hi may i ask and i need an answer. What app did you use to edit your thumbnails? Please tell me.
That looks cool
Bombardier transportation actually got acquired by Alstom.
You featured my comment! Thanks! But LRT is a bit slower than MRT. But I really like the view when the LRT is elevated.
Thx. But the fastest LRT is the Sengkang and Punggol LRT reaching at 80km/h
not the bukit panjang one though
Waiting for it!!
My only concern that makes me want to not board the line if its even real is the glass on the door is so tall
Same here
Since singapore g9vernmwnt said they building more lines and upgrade older ones
Can only move few customers with 2 carts, revenue per trip is not great compared to MRT. Existing company shows no interests in expanding LRT system with this low ridership number in foreseeable future. 🙅♂🙅♀️
Circle Line, at least the region near downtown area used to be LRT before it was upgraded to MRT and included other stations around central SG
Cant wait
Could the next LRT be Narrow/metre gauge rail line instead of being a people mover?
Nice video. Good job. Please keep it up.
I give it a like
Stay connected #S
Thx
Defu is great. It is new and highly populated for such a new place. Bedok-Tampines LRT would be cool, connecting Simei, Tanah Merah, Tampines and Bedok. Not to mention Bedok and Tampines are highly populated.
Someone created a video called the rise and fall of the LRT a few days ago and the thumbnail looks a bit the same.
What about tram, the middle to be like bugis traffic light, then enter from behind, entry like e.r.p? Maybe it's cheaper transport fee?
Thinking of l.r.t from wdls to marsiling(woodlands centre) and woodlands jetty.
They might add one if i am correct they are planning one But they might cancel the plan idk what its name tho.
The Next Future possible Light Rail Trains projects is Tengah Bricklands system
Imagen of there was yishun lrt, concepts are made using openbve
I was thinking it woud be Bukit Panjang MRT in the future,2030
If yishun were to make lrt they should place stations near:
KTPH
Yishun SAFRA
Chong Pang
Lower Seletar Reservoir
Upper seletar reservoir
Yishun DAM
Sembawang Hot springs
Junction 9
Khatib camp
Nee soon camp
Wisteria mall
Yishun park
Yishun park hawker center
ORTO
Yishun innova jc
HometeamNS
Is it possible?
I think it’s going to be Bedok LRT. Bedok is very big!
Bedok has 5 MRT stations serving it (Tanah Merah, Bedok, Kaki Bukit, Bedok North, Bedok Reservoir), soon going to be 6 by the time Bedok South is done, and theres going to be 2 ITH in Bedok in the future. I doubt theres a need for another LRT in bedok since its already so connected
@@poteyatocheapp6978 that is true, but they are all on different lines. Also, Bayshore MRT will also be part of Bedok Stations.
@@poteyatocheapp6978 Kembangan mrt also in bedok
@@poteyatocheapp6978 But they are not perpendicularly connected. So I think it would be one of the best place.
@@chocolatechips878 I think it's more important to connect the stations with the name Bedok. Bedok North, Bedok Reservoir, Bedok and Bedok South.
They should build an LRT near clementi
better not build another LRT, god, holy fuck, those things stink and get way too crowded. Only took Singapore a few decades to learn that, the hard way!
The seletar line, i think is possible for 4 car lrt line
Yes, tengah town. For residents and commuters easy excess,
they should build an LRT line in hougang
i doubt so , it will only create new problem instead of solving one
I think the newest trains are JRL , CRL and SLL
My thought is the LRT Airport gonna open T1-T5 idk
I like Sengkang west loop most because it leads me to my house
They will use mcm c810b with lta
My opinion:LTA make mew LRT line number 4 is punggol coast lrt so I don't know
The North shore line is an anbondend LRT line
It will be called as Sembawang lrt
One-north PMS. JTC had already identified the PMS locations. Likely exist only in master plan and will never happen.
maybe yishun lrt, maybe can a openbve "lrt" can be a dream come true? maybe not.
Also, West coast LRT
This train looks like the Macau LRT train
Oh yes
oh look, another bus on rails (literally)
ah! yisun lrt , marina bay lrt, bedok lrt, clementi lrt, jurong lrt ,hougang lrt, woodlands lrt and pasir ris lrt.
In real life, Yishun don't have lrt. Only in the game 'Openbve.'
Maybe Seletar LINE
I like the video❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Maybe extend bukit panjang lrt to woodlands and to lim chu kang.mega lrt
I think gov totally forget about "Yishun" this area already? Yishun's transport planning is the worse. Please have a LRT to go round the center part can PLEASE?!!!!!!
LRT would be cool to have, but the LTA is right in its choice
1. Less reliable than MRT
2. Poor efficiency in passenger load
3. Still very expensive, especially if it were to be underground or elevated
4. The “LRT” is really bad in choice when it comes to the carriages. For the LRT to work well it can’t be built into a community the community needs to be built on the LRT
5. Why not trams? You save some money, carry more passengers, it’s faster, more reliable, and you discourage driving by taking up 2 lanes of the road. Trams or actual LRT would be really nice in Singapore but unfortunately the government is not interested
well singapore have trams back then. also now theres trams from sentosa, SG Zoo and many more.
but for many train enthus like me, I think sg should build another lrt if thats possible
@@coolman444 perhaps you’re misunderstanding. I mean actual light rail, like the kind you find in China or European countries. The solution in SH works sure but it’s definitely not the best. I’m not saying we shouldn’t build more LRT, it’s just if we do it would be best if it fixed the mistakes of the previous ones
@@adsrbad9733 LTA has no interest on trams except for private operators
@@coolman444 Yeah, I know. I’m just saying a tram may be the better option over an LRT
I want lrt cross island line and seletar line
Yes
That is when i pass away
Pasir ris Will have a Line coming soon
Tampanis Have a line
But Simei Don't have a Line
Another LRT line.. yes... Jurong west extension and tengah on construction
If there were a East Coast LRT (which is impossible)These are the stations I think are Possible I guess:
(ECL1) /(TEL29) Bayshore
(ECL2) Upper East Coast
(ECL3) Jalan Pokok
(ECL4) Eastern Lagoon
(ECL5) Siglap South
(ECL6)/(TEL28) Siglap
(ECL7) Siglap Link
(ECL8) Long Beach
(ECL9) Wake Park
(ECL10) East Coast Lagoon
(ECL11) East Coast Beach
(ECL12) (U/D) Angsana Green
(ECL13) Bedok Jetty
(ECL14) (U/D) Bayshore South
(ECL15/1) (TEL29) Bayshore
Technically, Bayshore South Doesn’t exist
ECL is OpenBVE East Coastal Line logo
There's TEL4 which runs parallel to this. Opening next year
Of course
If so, then what is the new LRT line?
Maybe it will be Punggol coast LRT
There was a North loop planned but was scrapped leaving with a branch track sticking out from teck lee and extra middle track at punggol
How do you get the pictures of that rare lrt
he took pics and edited it.
Yes
Singapore is rather small so I don't think that they have enough space and time to do it.
2:49 Roblox Westwood Airport Transit Siemens
I'm more focused on Very Light Rail for Singapore
It is suitable for car-lite areas, with tracks that can be installed and removed easily
Oh
Hougang LRT, Marina LRT
Woodlands LRT
Well technically the CCL and the DTL is an LRT line 😂😂
They use LRT trainsets for a MRT line, while the "LRT" in Singapore is just Automated People Mover systems. What a joke 🤣
The only true MRTs is the NSEWL, NEL and the TEL.
Once, I travelled on the CCL during peak hours and I regretted it-it was just too crowded since the train capacity is too small to handle such a huge morning crowd! I had to wait 3-4 trains, and when I boarded, the train was cramped like sardines......😣
@@user-oj4xm6by5b LTA should just consider revamping CCL to 4-car with gangway someday LMAO
Yah
@@ZC_Offcials I see you. Actually, the 4th LRT line is the JRL 🤣
Wut...
And that bashan has haunted on horror
BISHAN
If only TEL is extended to spore zoo... that area is going to be huge in the future. Mandai wildlife area will serve those 3 plus resort and bird park. I doubt public bus is enough
That will also destroy the animals over there
Its not destroying animals per se but theres definitely going to be side effects of it like noise pollution during construction, vibration of the ground, vegetation removal etc so its quite counterintuitive and unhealthy for animals nearby
Destroying the designated nature areas speedrun
That area definitely needs a rail link access maybe from TEL as it's the closest in the vicinity
I know the lrt name its yio chu kang LRT
No plans for that one. Very unlikely to happened

(Edit 2: DUDE WE FORGOT THE MONORAILS AND THE CHANGI AIRPORT SKYTRAIN AND THE OLD CHANGI AIRPORT SKYTRAIN)
After 10 months of thinking about the 4th LRT line, this is what I planned:
Jurong LRT
JU1/EW25 Chinese Garden
JU2/JE3 Tengah Park
JU3/NS4A Bricklands
JU4 Sungei Chua Chu Kang
JU5/DE2 Kadut North
JU6 Mandai
JU7/TE1/RT1/SL1 Woodlands North
DE2 was planned by me from Bukit Panjang DE to Sungei Kadut DE1 and lastly,DE2 Kadut North
I would like to see a stage 2 and 3
That could be phase 1
