  • This is my Canik TP9SF 9mm that I have owned for about a year and a half. With well over 8,000 rounds through it the pistol just keeps getting better and better. I am thoroughly pleased with my purchase and have purchased several more from this company just to collect (see TriStar C100 Canik 55 review). Thank you for watching. p.s. I am using a new movie maker as TH-cam is deleting the built in one and man I was just learning how to use it (barely)....G

    Great review...ive had some glock fanboys talk a little shit about my canik. But I bought an sf model, two extra mags, and 6 boxes of Winchester NATO 124gn for about 50 bucks less than a g19. About 3000 rounds the only issue I've ever had was my own failings. It's not a cheap gun, it just costs less than others in it's class. It's like comparing cars. A Toyota is a pretty simple everyday car, very reliable and affordable. A ferrari is everything a Toyota isn't. It's beautiful, fast, and worthy of conversation. But is it mechanically superior? Maybe for a VERY short time. But any ferrari will not last as long as any Toyota, mile for mile. And if you want it too, you will double the initial purchase price within 100,000 miles on maintenance fees. But they're both essentially the same device, made from similar materials, with roughly the same intended use. So the canik is the Toyota Camry of pistols, just keep putting gas in it and it'll go. It just won't get you laid on the way there.

      I've owned 3 glocks. 2 of the 3 had issues. The slide wouldnt go to full charge after each shot, so I would have to bump the back of the slide after every time I shot in order for the slide to go all the way forward. For the price of a glock, I shouldn't have to do shit in order to keep shooting lol. So I'll stick with this pistol at a fair price and not have to worry about it. Glock fanboys think gun are only as reliable as the price...and they're wrong!

      I've had a couple of Glocks in my lifetime keyword had. To me they felt good in my hand and thats where it stops. I never like the triggers on em and I just couldn't justify paying almost 200 dollars for a apex trigger bad enough paid 600 for the gun but thats just me. I have a Canik tp9sf elite which is going on 2yrs me having it. I haven't had any problems whatsoever out of it Ive only put 1000 rounds through it so far. I've bought, sold and traded guns till I got what I feel is my solid lineup. The Canik out of all never was an option to get rid of. Out the box IMO the best handgun in its price range its just a great gun period. I say all that to say You ain't missing a lot with Glock you're not poor for not having a Glock. You just have better things to do with the extra money you saved buying the Canik👍. Like more ammo and in my case didn't need a trigger upgrade. I own a Walther ppq m2 and the trigger on that is one of the best out there for striker firearm and my Canik Elite trigger IMO is right up there with it it's so close it ain't funny.

    I've had this gun for three months. I shot it once when I bought it, put roughly 32 rounds through it. This video ensures me that I'm carrying a good pistol without even having to shoot 1000+ rounds. I've dropped my gun once on the carpet. I do not have the lifetime warranty so I'm glad to see you never had any problems. I don't live in an area where it is safe to shoot in my yard, so I rarely get to.

    Nice review. Someone asked about the color of your pistol, it's called DDE (Davidsons dark earth). The run of the mill TP9SF is regular desert tan. I tried to find one in DDE but had no luck, yours is a bit rare in that respect. BTW I just ordered the TP9SF in desert tan yesterday, I couldn't pass up the incredible deal $320.00 shipped. I have owned the TP9SA for years now and just love it, what a great pistol and I just can't believe how incredibly low the price is for such outstanding quality. The other big name manufacturers are out of there minds asking the money they are for a product that is not only no better than the Canik but in some ways inferior right out of the box. Cheers!

Thankfully Canik picked up where Walther left off on an amazing design and made it better and more custom. Love the armed striker and loaded chamber indicators on this gun. After 300 shots and the same number of dry shots I have to exchange the striker. Walther have the same issue when you dry shot to much. So far it is my beloved pistol. • @Reloadingfromthehotpot
      @Reloadingfromthehotpot  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The take up is slightly longer but super smooth with a flat wall and the break is very crisp. Compared to a Glock I personally think the Glock trigger is a little spongy and the break is a little more subtle. I tried out and shot a Glock gen 5 and honestly I see no difference in the trigger from a Gen 3, 4 which I have put a lot of rounds through. Thank you for watching

    • @philipdeppen9450
      @philipdeppen9450 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love the trigger compared to Glock. Yeah a little more take up but who cares it's just take up but it's butter smooth and the break is as crisp as it gets on a striker fire pistol with absolutely zero creep. The reset is short as hell but what's also really nice is the reset falls exactly where the break is and it's very audible. I have the elite one series with black nitride slide. So far 700 rounds through mine and zero barrel wear and very little wear on the edge of chamber block on top I mean very little.

Plus by reloading you're not rewarding the price gougers: Winchester, Remington, Federal and CCI. 3 years ago I could buy a box of 115 gr Armscor on sale for $8 flat. A 1,000 rounds was $160. Now its about exactly double. They can keep their ammo and stick up their - (when Walmart got out of selling pistol ammo that let the gougers go through the roof)

    I use a combination of synthetic motor oil 10/30 with transmission oil. 80 to 90% Synthetic and 10 to 20% transmission oil. I used in all my guns and they work smoothly. I escaped from a communist country over 30 years ago and in the military we used motor oil, if there wasn't anything else, and the oil there is not as refined as here in the USA. So I was happy to combine these two oils and they stayed lubricated for ever. The gun oil drys out with time.

    If you come across a product that you found to have problems, such as a pistol discharging if you drop it, then the moral thing to do is definitely not for you to not talk about it. That is totally backwards. Informing people who may be in the market for a particular gun, informing them of possible issues with that gun is very important. The same goes for your refusal to mention the brand name of the 10mm you mention at the beginning of the video. Do you work for that gun company? If not, then why do you have any sort of issue telling people about a problem you have with them? That makes no sense. Just something to think about.
