Great version of Paul Simon's song. Should be a million views !!!
Sarah very graciously played this song at a show a few nights ago, at the request of an audience member. She said she hadn't played it for about 5 years, and very quickly placed the capo and started flawlessly picking Paul Simon's intricate guitar part. She became emotional while singing the lyrics and the magic of the moment became very deep and expansive. I was enthralled by the sensitivity and genuine and personal connection with this song. Paul Simon should be proud, and the audience response was exuberant and loud.
Guitar teacher here. I play this song myself -- one of my favorites.
She is the only performer I've heard who has been able to reproduce the musical subtleties with which Simon played and sang this great poetic song -- one that he wrote at around 22 years old or so that foretold his epic talent to unfold over the decades.

Just saw her the other night on Austin City Limits. Never heard of her, wasn't sure what to think when I read the description of her genre. I sat there for the half hour she played just mesmerized. A very rare performer, so young, so talented. The future of music is safe in hands like Sarah.

This song leaves one feeling a deep humility. Not many can reach the root of a Paul Simon song, I think this artist has done so here. Very very fine.

Sarah was a regular at the bluegrass jam in her hometown of Wimberley through high school and I played with her and others a lot. What a blessing! Sarah is the rarest of jewels!

Sarah Jarosz is a Polish-American singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and graduate of New England’s Conservatory of Music. Hails from Austin, Texas and now based in New York. I think her cover of Kathy’s Song (one of my all-time Simon and Garfunkel favourites) is absolutely fabulous.

This is gorgeous - reminds me of a soft field with rain quietly falling, some where in the English countryside.
Maybe the best version of Paul Simon's best song, which is really saying something when you consider the other top versions on TH-cam are by the man himself plus Art Garfunkel and Eva Cassidy, two of the best pure singers in recent memory.
