I read somewhere that this album was intended to be an Oingo Boingo set, but that it appeared under Danny's name because of a conflict with his label. This might explain why Oingo Boingo members appear here; the tenor sax player as the last church member that Danny "heals" before the freeze, the trumpeter as one of the poker players (along with Danny's brother Richard), the lead guitarist as the lead guitarist, the drummer as one of the prison guards (I think he's the one who throws the electric chair switch). Anyone see any of the other ones?

I met Danny Elfman and Oingo Bingo back in 1994 at their concert. It was so awesome. He is an incredible Artist/musician/winter.
This music video was directed by Graeme Whifler, who also directed music videos for San Francisco’s Ralph Records label, including The mysterious and anonymous Residents, Renaldo and the Loaf, and Tuxedomoon, along with Snakefinger. He also directed music videos for Sparks and the first EVER video for Red Hot Chili Peppers, “True Men Don’t Kill Coyotes” during the same year as the “Gratitude” video, in 1984. He is an oddball and a complete genius, like Crispin Glover in “Rubin and Ed”.

I got to see one of his concerts in Ybor City in Central Florida in 1990. They actually 'sacrificed' this gorgeous blonde virgin to him before he'd play. That was one HELL of a concert.

I read somewhere that this album was intended to be an Oingo Boingo set, but that it appeared under Danny's name because of a conflict with his label. This might explain why Oingo Boingo members appear here; the tenor sax player as the last church member that Danny "heals" before the freeze, the trumpeter as one of the poker players (along with Danny's brother Richard), the lead guitarist as the lead guitarist, the drummer as one of the prison guards (I think he's the one who throws the electric chair switch). Anyone see any of the other ones?

@@TighelanderII That's him, all right. Looks just like Danny, only he's wearing a hat. He was a filmmaker and I believe he organized The Mystic Knights Of The Oingo Boingo until Danny joined, eventually took over leadership, and moved in a more pop-oriented direction.
