How could I not like this? It's generational, Stephen. I preferred loud thumping rock from a powerful home or car stereo that a guy could toke up and bang his Betty to. This sort of music dripping out of my cheap $5 speaker in my 19" Hitachi TV made me think the next generation was "Light in their Sperry Top-Siders."
"I don't know the answer to that question, if I knew I would tell you". Reminds me little bit of David Bowie's voice. End of the song reminds me a bit of Pet Shop Boys. I love this song, it spreads happiness!

Keep listening! There were so many great bands that I didn't appreciate them enough until now, looking back. Kajagoogoo, Psychedelic Furs, and New Order come to mind. Dance clubs had so many songs to choose back then that some of the best didn't get much airtime.
Luke Walters Very true. I was a kid when this stuff was out so my aunts and uncles are always shocked that I not only remember them but I own them in my collection of music
My favourite genre is the 80s, as my Dad used to play it non-stop when I was a kid. Now that I've played it over the years, I've now got my nephew into the 80s. This is how the genre will never die!
Anyone around at the time will appreciate just how incredible the production was on this masterpiece of an album. Trevor Horn’s genius brought previously unheard layering, depth and clarity to the record which, together with the great work by the amazing Martin Fry and band, makes this an unassailable and unforgettable classic. Just sublime!

@@TheKeeeks97 Trevor Horn from The Buggles.
@@PhilStrohhamster Thanks!
Agreed .. agreed .. agreed !!!!
The moment you are recognizing you are one of the best looking guys of the 80s.
This song truly was great in the80s ..
i'm 55 now and the 80's were my favorite decade.
With you!...
Im 41 and the decade of the 1980s was by far the best for me.
im 55 as well the 80's rocked .. amn we had a chance to see some cool music
Me too. Where did the years go? Seems like yesterday I had no cares. Now, work, kids, wife, mortgage, bills. Ugh!
56 ans et pas mieux !!
I'm an 80s kid,now I'm 50 and still listen to the best music ever made in my opinion, the 80s loved it.
Yes dude I miss these days too I was 16 years old in 1982
Made by proper musicians in it for enjoyment and giving something back to public unlike music today
nice gaz wish u all the best pal.I'm 39 I love the 80's.but it's gone to to fast.joe
those were the days...
@@domestique3954 yes they were
This is the sound of good moving and get down music. How could you not like this?
My mother was born in the 70's , I'm glad she can show me song like this . I'm 14 year old
How could I not like this? It's generational, Stephen. I preferred loud thumping rock from a powerful home or car stereo that a guy could toke up and bang his Betty to. This sort of music dripping out of my cheap $5 speaker in my 19" Hitachi TV made me think the next generation was "Light in their Sperry Top-Siders."
@@IMCcanTWEESTED Exactly well said 🤚
80's...years of progress and happiness!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Good music never gets old
40 years later , here we are still listening to the best music.
It was the best time in my live.
It was the best time in everyone’s life
"I don't know the answer to that question, if I knew I would tell you". Reminds me little bit of David Bowie's voice. End of the song reminds me a bit of Pet Shop Boys. I love this song, it spreads happiness!
exactly!!! exactly!!! I totally agree with you bro I also felt I was listening to petshop boys specially from this min 2:39 to 2:57. love from Bahrain
Thanks my friend, it's good we share the same passion for the good music. I wish you a wonderful day. If you like norwgian nature and funny short films, check out my channel. I found Bahrain on the map now. I been in Abu Dhabi on my way to Philippines and back. I traveled with Qatar Airways. It's rated as the best airways in the world. I traveled 5 times to Philippines, cause I have family there. With lot of love from Norway.
He he I was going to comment the exact same thing, then I see I did it 3 months ago :-) This song always makes me happy! Great song, and the video is rather good too. The return to the 80's is like walking back to happiness :-)
I'm 22, my dad got me into bands like ABC, soft cell, Duran Duran, very grateful for him to introduce me to this sort of music, better than the music of today
Keep listening! There were so many great bands that I didn't appreciate them enough until now, looking back. Kajagoogoo, Psychedelic Furs, and New Order come to mind. Dance clubs had so many songs to choose back then that some of the best didn't get much airtime.
Luke Walters same! 23 and loving those bands, as well as Spandau Ballet, hall and oates, toto... etc.
ur right this musics the best ever
Hi Luke - have you tried Ultravox too, (Vienna is just the tip of an electric-iceberg)
Luke Walters Very true. I was a kid when this stuff was out so my aunts and uncles are always shocked that I not only remember them but I own them in my collection of music
80's best decade ever! Long live New Wave!
My son and brother walked me up the aisle to this song at my wedding nine years ago. One of my all time favourites.
I had The Lexicon Of Love LP by ABC in the early '80s. This group is legendary.
Iconic song of the 80s forever
Still fresh🎶🌹❤️
I loved how these artists acted characters in their videos. 80’s had that that quirky and eccentric look! Classic tunes.
Who’s still watching this awesomeness in 2024 😊
Me of course ❤❤❤❤
@@iledeserte7795 Awesome
My favourite genre is the 80s, as my Dad used to play it non-stop when I was a kid. Now that I've played it over the years, I've now got my nephew into the 80s. This is how the genre will never die!
The Look of love 😍👍ABC brilliant
It's 3.01am October 3rd 2024 an I've got this tune blasting 🎉❤
01:51 UTC 21 October 2024 and jammin!
I don't always listen to ABC but when I do, so do the neighbors.
It’s 6:17PM EST on 10/21/24 and i had to look up the video because they play this banger every day at my work! Long live the 80’s.
@@humbleevidenceaccepter7712always more enjoyable when the neighbors get to enjoy it too! 😊
Trevor Horn is on this video at 3:13.
One of the songs that will always sound new. Been on my playlist for years now and never gets old.
Soul of the 80's
I just turned 54 today and I still love this music ...Big part of my life!!....I use to throw big underground warehouse parties back in the 80's in Los Angeles and this was the music we played!!!...New wave dance craze back then!!....Miss it!!!😪...D.
@Max Moss lol...thnx Max!...D.
What were the best tunes back then? The ones that got the best reactions in this genre and others??
Im 19 years old but I love your generation of music 😆

miss the 80s transport me back to this time !!!
why do want back to 1980s
Everything was either neon pink, teal, simple, reaganomics, or smacked. And a little less vulgar.
George Shepherd, same here. I miss the '80s too, especially all the fantastic pop music and all the fabulous pop groups including ABC. I'd love to be transported back to this time too, this is the time when such awesome pop groups like Duran Duran and ABC truly ruled.
YES INDEED
Think of the '80s and all the songs you've ever listen to and all of your memories, your friend in high school, and everything you've missed as the future and you are going toward it and it hasn't happened yet.
and you'll feel much better and much younger.
Can you imagine to be 20 in the 80's?That's what happened to me and my generation.Great times!
Good for you.
I was 21 in 1980. Loved all the songs, but the 80s music style started in 1978 and ended in 1989.
@@davefranklyn7730 Hi, Dave.
I think the style ended in 1991.
( maybe in 1993).
Ten kawałek zawsze przenosi mnie w przeszłość, w piątkowe wieczory, w czasy, gdy miliony ludzi słuchały radiowej "Trójki" , a w niej najlepszej na świecie "Listy przebojów" Marka Niedźwiedzkiego🙂
Ten utwór zawsze będzie mi przypominał nadawaną w każdy piątek listę przebojów trójki prowadzoną przez Marka Niedźwieckiego.

Definitely better than the nineties!
With all the crap that is going on in the states right now, I have to listen to the songs I grew up with from the 60s, 70s and 80s to keep me grounded.
Yes, they told of happier days.
Amen ! I feel like Music is Fresh Air for the Soul ! Teaching my gran babes about this!! Dance in spite of the rants
I spent a lot of time in the 80s. They were pretty cool.
Who else listening The Look Of Love in 2024?

I am always listening to The Look of Love.
This is your second listen.
Que genial canción. La letra, el ritmo, la voz de Martin. Una joya de la música.
80's Nostalgia aside, listen to the lyrics and notice the delivery there is a deep profound feel and expression in this song and the quality of the video production, not to mention the musical genius.
Yep, best reply.
Happy tunes 🎶
Oh I wish I could’ve grown up throughout this incredible decade. Tracks like this really embody just how inventive and fresh the music was. This is timeless
They were fun wonderful days for sure...we had so much fun
Well, you can at least live in the '80's vicariously by enjoying all those songs from then on YT!!!
I lived it, I clubbed it, greatest music ever, tons of nice girls, ...
where is that time machine ??
I grew up then. I was unbelievably spoiled. I had no idea at the time how special it was.
I went through my teenage years in the 80's. Fantastic time to be alive.
I was lucky enough to see ABC live in Manchester tonight, they did this twice and the crowd went wild. A fantastic song!
I'm jealous!

I’m 20 and Still loving this radical tune... absolutely jumping around to this masterpiece (Edit)
I was 17 when this song was released in 1982. Although the video is silly (most 80s videos were silly), this song was an absolute masterpiece in its day. It's still a work of art. After all these decades, I still listen to ABC. Reminds me so much of my college years, the 1980s.
