Ну, положим, точности там с завода не много было, ибо хоббийный универсал. С остальным согласен целиком и полностью. Плюс еще и передняя бабка не отцентрована. Конус даже на видео виден.

I bought an exact model of this lathe more than 30 years ago, looked after it and it is still working to this very day. It has done a lot of beautiful work from the day I bought it brand new.
I have owned a 3-1 for a long time. There are a lot of haters of this type of machine. And they're partly right. They're crude and won't really work to 0.001" accuracy, no matter what you do. This one lacks a feed system, so that is a negative. But these things have good motors and good spindle bearings. Still, using a 3-1 is a challenge if you actually intend to. But with an awareness of backlash and some skill, they can be reasonably good tools. I've made some semi-sophisticated pullers and other tools with mine, including a blind hole bearing puller, valve seat machining tools, and other things. You did some good refurb. Careful, fairly thorough, though seemingly mostly appearance-focused. Good stuff. Thanks.
Yep. That was my first machine tool. It was anything but accurate but still it was good for making spacers, plugs and other simple turnings. Ya gotta start with something.

Everyone knows the rules of a “restoration” on TH-cam is that you unscrew everything slowly, have lingering shots of screws held in tweezers, fill dents and file casting marks, give it a shit ton of filler and paint it, then ignore the issues such as play etc. don’t forget all comments to call them a craftsman, artisan etc. oh and also add “context” claiming they’re doing it right and you speak from a millenniums expert experience as xyz trade all the while being a shop assistant in KFC

At first I thought it was a mill over a lathe! I thought, What a BRILLIANT CONCEPT! But sadly no. More like a drillpress over a lathe. Still, a great tool for certain tolerances. But, hey, why not such a machine? A two-in-one, run off a common motor and gearbox? I might just build that one day.

@@zakariamuhanad800 Tornio cinese di circa 50/60 anni molto robusto motore potente, non esistono automatismi dei carrelli, il carro longitudinale cammina tramite la lunga vite senza fine, tra mandrino e contropunta 400 millimetri. Con lo stesso motore funziona anche una fresa/trapano, non fa filettature, manca il movimento per torniture coniche, la misura altezza tra basamento e centro mandrino è 200 millimetri. Per un appassionato di meccanica è facile migliorarlo moltissimo, dopo da molte soddisfazioni...
Io ne ho uno molto simile marchiato fervi che filetta. Ho aggiunto una scatola Norton elettronica e adesso è una bomba. Mi piacerebbe sapere statuire il mandrino attuale che è da 100 con uno un po’ più grande ma ho qualche remora a smontare il tutto

Станок окончательно потерян, после всех образивов направляющим хана, люфты отстались, прижимные поверхности не пришабрены, геометра не выставлена, прижымных шайб поосто нет. Эти сианки нп провнешку, они про работу, жесткость, точность. Но видел отличное как и работа!

Habe sie vor 40 Jahren selbst resoriert. Hat noch ein Gleitlager kein Kugellager hatte ein 2 Backenfutter habe nun ein 3 und 4 Backenfutter funktioniert alles tadellos brauche sie zu Drechseln und Metall Arbeiten danke für den Film Gruß Klavierbauer Heinz

Looking good! My suggestion is put the start capacitor in a piece of PVC pipe and paint it to match the motor. Keep those cut spirals off those wires. Or a lot of electrical tape. Looks like new!
Ist ein frisch lackiertes, altes Auto dann auch breit für den TÜV? Schade, dass gerade die technische Seite und die Prüfung auf Verschleiß nicht gezeigt wurde. Es wurden einige Fehler begangen. Aber das wird wohl deine Erkenntnis bleiben. Optisch ist sie gut geworden.
wieso hast du die Öler am Reitstock und auch andere überlackiert, man sieht leider nicht im video ob du die freigemacht hast danach aber am Reistock sieht es nicht so aus.
Got a chester mk 2 same shape over 30 years old still use only had oil change and bearings changed still running , the depth from chuck to lathe bed makes working on big projects ideal . In mid process of restoring a myford ml2 my first lathe my dad got me be 40 years I had it.

Все классно, но в названии ошибка!! Это покраска , а не реставрация!!! Нельзя базовые плоскости которые надо пришабриваеть зерачить корщёткой и шлифмашинкой😬😬😬😬😬 он просто стал свеже покрашенный, но делать на нём теперь можно только лишь ничего 🤷♂️
A lathe bed dosen’t need filler. You never go near the ways with a power sander. You did a cosmetic restauration not a finctional one. You did nothing to fix the play and the backlash. This makes for a nice yt video but that’s about it
E' un tornio cinese di circa 50 anni "combinato tornio/fresa", era basico ed economico, molto robusto ma facilmente migliorabile, infatti io gli ho montato un mandrino da 160 millimetri a 4 griffe indipendenti, sostituto il motore con uno universale e con variatore di velocità elettronico 350watt 12000 giri, inseriti 2 piccoli motori 12volt con riduttore velocità per i movimenti X e Y dei carrelli, la torretta originale sostituita con altra girevole con un portautensili a sgancio veloce, aggiunto un lettore digitale lineare sul carrello principale X. Per fresare ho aggiunto una grossa morsa a movimenti a croce ed altri utili accessori...Sono un appassionato di meccanica quindi per me è stato un divertimento continuo nell' accessoriarlo (in gioventù mi diplomai tornitore). Ora ho 80 anni e passo le ore più divertenti in laboratorio...Un saluto da Roma

E' un tornio cinese di circa 50 anni "combinato tornio/fresa", era basico ed economico, molto robusto ma facilmente migliorabile, infatti io gli ho montato un mandrino da 160 millimetri a 4 griffe indipendenti, sostituto il motore con uno universale e con variatore di velocità elettronico 350watt 12000 giri, inseriti 2 piccoli motori 12volt con riduttore velocità per i movimenti X e Y dei carrelli, la torretta originale sostituita con altra girevole con un portautensili a sgancio veloce, aggiunto un lettore digitale lineare sul carrello principale X. Per fresare ho aggiunto una grossa morsa a movimenti a croce ed altri utili accessori...Sono un appassionato di meccanica quindi per me è stato un divertimento continuo nell' accessoriarlo (in gioventù mi diplomai tornitore). Ora ho 80 anni e passo le ore più divertenti in laboratorio...Un saluto da Roma
