Longer podcasts would be great. And don't be afraid to dive deep into nitty gritty skateboard stuff that yuo think most people don't care about. Those are the things we come here for!
As a 35-year-old that is just now learning to skate, I love hearing the two of you talk and just the easy back and forth and all the skating stories really inspire me to try to get better. Keep it up you guys are awesome
Hey man hope you're still out there. I started at 27 but really only got more consistent starting around 31 and I'm 32 now. Love to see other people around my age picking it up. Always fun to show off what I can do and they assume I've been skating since I was young. Keep at it dude.
@@zefmanx Yeah sometimes when I just can't land some trick I go and just cruise and it's very calming and helps me relax. When I'm warming up going around the basketball court, or any kind of flat, I think I'm listening to the sound of the wheels on the ground and it's pretty soothing and my mind can wander if I'm not focused on a specific trick. As long as you have fun that's all that matters. Also, please wear a helmet. Concussions are not fun.
Man I love this podcast. You 2 compliment eachother so well. Would love to hear more about your guy's history in skating. Also 2 hour long episodes would be sick.
Tony, Ellis, So glad you guys do this. I listen to Ellis' show 3 times a week, and this show is the PERFECT way to start my work week. I won't say do 4 hours, but I will say do as much as you guys can. JRE is dead, long live Hawk Vs. Wolf!!!
Long form podcasting is awesome. 1hr is the bare minimum IMO. 1.5 hours would be wonderful, too. Just glad to hear you guys! Haven't heard Ellis rant since his x games commentary back in the early 2000's. Love these guys together!
as soon as i found this podcast it instantly became my favorite you two have both been my favorite skaters since i first started skating when i was like 8 im 21 now and when i heard about hawk vs wolf i screamed like a lil girl lol i love it keep up the awesome conversations i love hearing stories about your guys days back in the day
I absolutely love this podcast you two have. I have listened to you, Jason since you’ve been on demolition radio, Ellis show on Sirius and your podcast The Jason Ellis Show with Tully and Kevin right now. Keep this all up. I definitely get a kick out of your banter and stories that you both have. I listen on Spotify mostly but I catch every episode. Thank you for the entertainment you both provide.
"There's metaphors in here, that you can use for the rest of your life" - Dude, Skateboarding has tought me so much valuable lessons and I would not where I'am today without it. Skateboarding is the love of my life. I started when I was 12 and I'am still a Skater at the age of 53.
Keep up the great work, been a fan of Tony since the late 80's - had his 91 purple signature vert board, shaped like nothing else out there! It was like trying to kick-flip a Cadillac door! What I wouldn't give to see that board again today ... both these cats are legendary in my world and seem like the humble, down to earth guys I always imagined they would be! Love the pod and keep it coming! Much Love from Ontario, Canada!
Recording your skate session and adding it to the end of the podcast would be pretty cool too. I love watching this and even watched some more than once. Been a huge fan for a long time as im the same age and the stories take me bake to my old days. This show should never end!!!
oh and Ellis Mate, you been a huge escape for me to get some very jolly laughs in. You remind me of me thus why i love ya bro. We share the same first name even!!
The last two minutes of this is why I will always love Tony and Jason. No matter how big or famous or rich either of them get, they'll always be down to bite a hole in a can and laugh about it on camera. Same dumb shit we were doing as stupid 14-year-olds will always be funny. Love it. Love you guys!
I hope your numbers get bigger, and you can keep this going, because it's freakin awesome. I've texted people I haven't talked to in years to tell them about this.
Stumbled into ur first show and seen every one! My parents used Del Mar park as my after school day care so ur show brings back awesome memories like trying out for first Del Mar skate team. Had chemistry class with you and Ted at Torrey Pines and so happy for u and all ur success. Most stoked for how hard u care about being a good dad and family man! U should show the picture in our yearbook when they did an interview with you. Go Falcons!
I really enjoy this podcast. Look forward to it dropping each week. Longer would be better. Maybe incorporate clips or segments of you guys skating. That would be badass!!! All good keep it going. 💯🔥
Love the podcast. I just recently stumbled into it. Longer would be great (when you have the time and are inclined to keep going) because I feel like you both have an epic number of untold stories. But here's a little thing that would be also be great, and hopefully not too much of a pain. Can you consistently number your episodes in the title or the thumbnail? I'd really appreciate it, if you could. Thanks!
Yall should talk about what music, TV, and entertainment was like when you were kids. Things have changed so much, it would be cool to hear about your favorite stuff was back then
awh man Birdman talkin about the bigspin back lip/shuv back smith then the hawkwolf graphic came up...I thought we were about to get another quick clip! I love watchin y'alls sessions and please put a Hawk vs Wolf edit for Thrasher, I think it's a necessary thing for skateboarding. Please.
Saw Tony's slam and as someone who has hit their head only a fractional amount compared to that one... that was legit hard and scary to watch and I'm not a squeamish person. So glad he was okay. Always wear a helmet.
Ellis, you have to pop the top after you bite to let the air rush it out, rookie! Also, LOVE THIS SHOW! Screw anyone that wouldn't watch you guys for whatever duration of time you went! True skate rats will watch this shit all day!
I was so bummed when the media lied and said you passed in a car wreck , please stay safe Tony i know it was a lie but still stay safe in those fast cars. Old school fan , Nate Dog
Man hearing about your vert stories makes me sad that their isn't anything like that here in the Midwest that I am aware of at least not for public use. Bowls are great don't get me wrong but a legit full sized vert ramp? Definitely on the bucket list. Its a huge part of skating most of us just don't get to have obviously it's greater risk especially for kids but I mean people want it maybe with the way skateboarding is headed we could get actual schools or courses for that kind of stuff world wide. Make it more accessible and it will make a huge comeback.
Yes, longer please. Rogan's time is up, this is far more entertaining. Stop hating on yourself Jason, you're the reason a lot of us got hooked on this show.
Longer podcasts would be great. And don't be afraid to dive deep into nitty gritty skateboard stuff that yuo think most people don't care about. Those are the things we come here for!
Thiiiiiiiis
This is exactly what I’m here for
The nine club spoils us haha
And if you clip in some of your pre or post pod skate sesh, that never sucks either!
Love how encouraging and supportive they are of each other
That Nickelback rant was so hilarious! Thanks for the laughs, Ellis. You guys rule!!!
Did anyone else get pissed off when Jason couldn't think of Indy car. Indy is literally one of his favorite words
As a 35-year-old that is just now learning to skate, I love hearing the two of you talk and just the easy back and forth and all the skating stories really inspire me to try to get better. Keep it up you guys are awesome
im 33 just started in june and i second this emotion

@@ParappatheRapper I'm still not really good at it, but I appreciate it and it's almost meditative to be on the board

Man I love this podcast. You 2 compliment eachother so well. Would love to hear more about your guy's history in skating. Also 2 hour long episodes would be sick.
The added footage gives a lot of context, and is a nice touch.
It would be nice if the pod was longer, but you guys keep on living
I do not understand how this channel isn’t bigger.
You guy are killing it love the talk about being older and working on old tricks
For real... 33yr old weekend warrior here with kids. Love that stuff! Keep it up guys!
Going back through and watching old episodes. Truly appreciate you boys staying with the pod. Love you men.
Tony, Ellis, So glad you guys do this. I listen to Ellis' show 3 times a week, and this show is the PERFECT way to start my work week. I won't say do 4 hours, but I will say do as much as you guys can. JRE is dead, long live Hawk Vs. Wolf!!!
Jre is dead? Dude puts out three episodes a week still
@@goatmansasquatch1485 I think maybe JRE's subject matter is getting to a higher iq threshold that someone can't measure up to.
@@plunger110 I think you need a noose
This is quickly becoming my new favorite podcast!!!
Definitely the best podcast ive ever heard. The best of total opposites, yet such a shared love for alot of things.
So glad Ellis is back. Perfect mix between the more serious Tony Hawk and the funny Jason Ellis. Perfect chemistry and great stories.
Love the story's and the fun memories you guys share! And totally agree longer podcast I know you're busy but it's so interesting
Hey guys showing some love from Netherlands, I love these on Monday morning and your stories are great
Another awesome episode. ending was priceless

Damn after taking a slam Saturday and breaking a few bones. I really felt this episode
The ending was epic Jason! Also show some footage of the skate sessions you two do!!!
So great listening to you two. I’m 45 and recently back on a board after a 30+ year break. Subbed 👊

The podcast rocks, gents! Thanks for showing up every week!
It would be so sick to skate Tony’s ramp. It’s definitely my dream skate spot
i cracked up when Tony came with the quickness "that's why i don't fight"
I'm all varklempt 🤣 I always say that because of Mike Myres in SNL.
Happy Monday everyone. Hawk vs wolf day!!! 🤙
Yessss
Love watching/listening
"Could you show footage of your skating sessions in the podcast"?
..."be cooler if you did"
“ stay in it a little bit “ needs to be on a hawk wolf shirt it was hilarious

The first 15 seconds of this video hooked me in for the whole hour.
22:05 It warms my heart to know that Tony Hawk is just out there shredding the streets in a Plaid Tesla. So sick
I hope your numbers get bigger, and you can keep this going, because it's freakin awesome. I've texted people I haven't talked to in years to tell them about this.

I’d like tune in for a longer episode! It’s one of the only ones I also have to WATCH every week. 👍🏻
What did Jason say at the beginning? I'm assuming its a aussie thing. Sounds ds like Ferklempt?
Verklempt, it's Yiddish for getting choked up, emotional. I know it from some character Mike Myers played. Cheers
Love the cast. i dont care how long they are as long you keep them coming!
please make the shows as long as you guys feel!

This is my new favorite podcast!
what a way to intro the show lol....i love it
Rick McCrank as a guest please!!!!
bummed to have to wait like a month to hear about Vert Alert
Inspired by you both! But special thanks to Jason for coming back to skateboarding 🛹.
Hey Tony, where can we find some clips of the vert alert Legends jam?
Greatest podcast. Why did Tony change out the Underhill deck out a few episodes ago?
Please have some guests. There are some really good stories you could get from other pro skaters. I love the dynamics between you guys
Saw Tony's slam and as someone who has hit their head only a fractional amount compared to that one... that was legit hard and scary to watch and I'm not a squeamish person. So glad he was okay. Always wear a helmet.
Always leave them wanting more. an hour is just enough.
Put in skateboarding clips from the days session.
They seem so cool, I love how normal they are HAHA
HAWK-VS-WOLF BEST POD!!!
I can’t believe I didn’t know this existed. This is awesome.
What happened to the other Underhill deck?
I like this podcast!

Ok, that intro was heavy...
Sounds like shatner went full talledega nights🤣
Don't make it longer. One hour is perfect. Keep it as digestible as possible. Quality not quantity. Signed, an OG 40 year old skater.
Hawk perch! 🤣
Tony’s voice is dang near spot on with David spade
