  • The GPS remote finally arrived and I was able to test it today along with a new software program called Telemetry Overlay. I didn't try to many options yet and the weather was crap so the colors don't look that good. I'm really happy to get the lap times but I don't like that the colors are a little flat. Hopefully on a clear day it will look like it does when I use the non GPS software. I didn't get the first lap time so I also need to work with the start and stop points.

After working with the software I was able to get the start and stop positions figured out so I can get the first lap recorded but I think the software is way over priced and I'm looking for other options. It took 5 hours to render this 20 minute video and there aren't any areas to do color corrections. The remote worked great and I think having heavy cloud coverage was a good test in itself.

Today on Amazon I saw one for $102 and another for $112. The DJI site has them listed for $80.00 but they have never been in stock that I saw.

I use Final Cut Pro to edit my videos, it’s a shame that telemetry data isn’t available in video editing software. Seems such an obvious feature that is missing
