- So far the new Action 4 audio adapter works just like I had hoped. The audio sounds good with no distortion while riding motocross and the wind was nearly none existent. I don't need the extra volume control anymore which is awesome. One negative is I can't upload the video files through the adapter so I need to remove it each time or remove the SD card and use a card reader to upload the files to my PC. I also set the audio to stereo instead of mono and it sounded good.
Wow! Watching this video is like driving your bike for you while you talk. Amazing when those bikes passed "us" at high speed! Also amazing you were able to describe the system while on this course. Appreciate your commenting at WayneRECs so I could view this! So impressive what you and the DJI Osmo Action 4 can do!
►Filmed at 60 FPS Ultra Wide RockSteady+ I heard you say, but in what FPS did you output/render the post-edit that you uploaded to YT?
Thank you❗
I render and upload the videos in the same settings using Filmora software.
Great video. Thank you :)
Thanks, after I retire I can spend more time on my video creation skills.
Hello there,
So no distortion at -10 ?
That’s incredible, let me k ow if that adapter is worth the money
In a word "yes". For the type of videos that I make this is the best and simplest setup I've put together. When using the external mic you lose the wind reduction feature. Finding a setup that nearly eliminates wind noise, allows me to add clear commentary and can handle four stroke dirtbike engines in close proximity without distortion has been a challenge. I don't like that the mic jack sticks straight out to the side but the 90 degree goose neck mic isn't to bad. The next test will be in a race with all the bikes revving at the gate waiting for it to drop. I may try that Rode 1 mic for when I mount the camera to my chest protector instead of on a chin mount.
@@MainJet158 thank You and ok I’ll be on standby, that is the lav mic I got the rode
Is it possible to plug in a local compatible microphone with a Type C input? Is there a need for an adapter?
Yes you can plug in a type C microphone and they work fine except for motocross or maybe other situations where there might be a lot of loud noise. I have not been able to get the gain turned down low enough to keep the audio from being distorted. 4 stroke engines and wind just kill the audio. For some reason the DJI 3.5mm mic adapter does a great job of lowering the input signal so it doesn't distort.
Do you think you would recommend Boya By-K4?@@MainJet158
