24:20 (give or take a few seconds) if all vehicles go up about the same time, couldn't you go to very high maintenance costs and then switch back to normal? That way it would take a lot of time again, before it gets to very bad again...?
It's crazy how beautiful the maps are now. Before it looked like you were playing with a train miniature set almost, and the most you could get were small rivers, now you got some seriously sweet looking water to play with for your ship transports.
Seriously could you imagine when trianfever was relased as a transport simulator game meant to take up the torch from games like open TDD and others. The anticipations back then was huge and the game had some serious downfalls to optimization. It took 30 seconds for the months to end late game! The creativity given to the player and modders was enormous and laid the foundation for transport fever. In transport fever we saw the transition to a more alround transport simulation game, although still heavily focused on trains. The latest optimization patch and more modability has kept the game alive to this day. And now we have the new Transport fever, still keeping true to some of the key features and elements in train fever. The game add so much depth and feels like a serious contender to cities skylines. I hope this game catches beyond the transport simulaton genre and makes so much money for the developers. I can’t wait too play the game and see what the modding community can come up with! Have a nice weekend, the 11th of desermber can’t come soon enough!
You can really tell that modding was very important in the last game as the developers added some as core features. We learned something important from this video Skye. If you give the posh horses cheap drugs they will get upset stomachs and make "emissions" all over the place. Quite messy, and no one likes stepping in emissions. The more expensive the "maintenance" (wink wink) is, the less "emissions" get all over the place.
Oh... my... goodness... a TF2 series! So many good upgrades in this game, Skye. I love the pause and adaptable speed re time, the passenger overlay, the configuration ability, arrows on signals, ratio introduction on industry, and the bridges... reminds me of the sandstone bridges of home (google Richmond River Bridge, Tasmania). Any negatives: the stretch/scratching sound of track laying; reminds me of the good old days when teachers used to run their nails down blackboards. Now, students have squeaking white board markers... not the same, LOL. I suppose you will get used to P&L and Balance Sheet amalgamation onto one table, Skye. Cannot wait for the next episode. THANK YOU! (I had to phone hubby and tell him good news. He will watch it when he gets home from work.)
Everything games have taught me about train signals is screaming at me there's not enough on that train line :)) Can't wait for release day, this game looks brilliant
Just to be clear for anybody who doesn't get the date speed- the normal pause/play/fast-forward buttons control the speed of the simulation- basically everything you normally care about: animation speed, finances, etc. The date speed controls the rate at which new things unlock, that's it. So with date paused, everything progresses as normal but each “financial period” is labelled with the same date; at date quarter speed each financial period is labelled with 3 months; at date half 6 months, at date 2X 2 years, at date 4X 4 years. Which is a little confusing, so keep in mind: the number of “simulation ticks” or “simulations seconds in normal play speed” in each financial period is always the same amount- on a fast computer, one financial period will always take the same amount of real-life time and vehicles will always makes the same number of trips in that real-life time, given that you're running in the same simulation speed (pause, play, fast-forward buttons).
Stunning visuals. I still have doubts about cities needing only two resources . think it would have been better to have a couple of standard requirements for all cities (like maybe food, and fuel) then 1 or 2 different specials. Will be interesting to see if you run out of things to do on a map.
Very excited about this series!!! Please don’t spoil it by replacing an episode with a live stream like you did with the Automation Empire conclusion. 🙏🙏🙏
After failing to get into Transport Fever because it was daunting and didn't run terribly well for me - but watching hundreds of hours of TF gameplay - I'm beyond excited for TF2. I'm already devouring as much TF2 content as I can.
The paused time advancement is kind of weird the monthly spreadsheet all labeled with the same date. Is this Transport Fever or Groundhog Day simulator.
You did such a good job with transport fever one I feel like the new scenery was a little more underwhelming than expected at first glance but when I think about how much work you put into the old game I’m excited to see what you can do with so much more time
Could you choose one central city that will be the capital. Could have specialiced cities heavy in recidential/industry/cemmercial around it. Maybe cargo hubs on the outside and maybe a ring road going around it. It would be nice to see how big one city can get if the whole map serves it.
So do you have to set 'maintenance' on each individual vehicle separately like you show in the video? Or is there a global setting like, e.g., "I want may coaches at normal maintenance and my trains at high maintenance" Having to set maintenance on a per-vehicle basis seems silly and prohibitively mouse-intensive.
I'm so excited for what I can only describe as transport fever season 2. Hope you have good luck with everything and don't encounter too many glitches.
I saw this thinking it was TF1 so ignored it, didn't realise there was a second season until I saw it elsewhere and though wait that new season skye is doing, it must be this new game. "leaves and straight here". I subbed back in the early days of the 1st one. kept about for all of your other content after watching too much of TF, plus all of your old stuff. but will look forward to this. TV watcher so not really a commenter, but would like to thank you for the years of content. Silent but here :)
It has all the mechanism of TTD (Transport Tycoon Deluxe) as a pioneer in this same type of game. That's always the first impression. Even the cover image seem almost too similar. However this certainly is with way improved graphics and in 3D. By the look of what seems available in this game compared in terms of flexibility, I could say I'd meantime be still glued to OpenTTD. It took like a decade more on and off but i still reach for it whenever I upgraded. No matter that still has some limited corny graphics, in OpenTTD that has been running for many years now, still brings in free downloadable customizations in all sections of the game. Since it has been open sourced, one can still expect newer stuff to add in.... sometime maybe sooner or later too. It's still active. There was/is still hope for TTD to become developed to this kind of graphics but it has been quite long for any developers to make it true. However so, I could applaud this game for taking it to better heights already. It could keep OTTD at its toes for way bigger improvements in future but that would depend on any of their open sourcing independent programmers too to keep providing simple better content and setting downloads. Still, there are the few important pieces that would be needed to have myself switch to get onboard this next. 1. System requirements. It should somehow be compatible with most known systems with average usage of resources. I doubt that could happen now because current tech businesses always require users/customers to keep upgrading their devices as they 'progress' sooner or later. In other words: "Keep buying, keep upgrading to keep up". (I actually hate that. It dictates the age use of our own available systems.) The game itself has to stick to its base requirements as it progresses. If it can't, expect some or most of us to move on too. I could still consider on its reason for large requirements if it has to spend on my sys resources to have me spectacled by great visuals and animations in this game for example. However that is what TTD/OTTD had cut out from as much already and still serve all the rest of which is also found in this TF2. So would that mean I will have to upgrade my system which will cost me much more than the game itself just so I could feast my eyes on those visuals? Would it be worth all that by then? 2. Customization. The full flexible capacity for users to customize from what they see in the graphics, sounds and settings for their own style of gameplay. That may also link up to number 1 above there if it was made possible though. It also may take out future plans for the game development if the ideas were already taken up made by users by their own customs though. (that's a little darker side of flexibility given for granted still but hey, won't it be fun at first? Pros and cons. LOL!) 3. Challenges and gameplay. If there was the multiplayer option to challenge with and better if it was in online browsers perhaps as in nowadays, it'd be spectacular. OTTD already has the option for multiplayers and has available online browser for it. It also includes an array of downloadable competition AIs to play against with. There are downloadable scenarios and self customizables too. This very gameplay should also change while at play. Meaning realtime random events or town/city policies applied that can trigger changes in the economy and strategy making the intensity fluctuate over the challenges too. Else, there'd be the straight mundane play. OTTD may be cheap my many angles but it always is addictive too till today also because of these kind of challenges placed and available completely free. The motive/objectives for the gameplay has to be there and it has to vary and not limited. That's where the totality makes the addiction for the game. Ease of use with having a friendly GUI and not being too complicated makes the game more immersive to play too. (I'd give good stars so far on ease of use for this TF2 from what i saw although I haven't laid my hands into 'em yet.) I'd certainly give this a go by the looks of it when I do get that moment to.
Great stuff as always Skye :P Quesetion for a noob, why 10 vehicles at a time? Also when you remove/delete things do you get your money back or loose it?
wonderful. I've become subscribed to you when watching your first Transport Fever vid. The happiness you spoke about working for hundreds of hours to make billions of the TF currency and get everything the way you wanted. I can't wait to see all the experience come back to life in this new series.

Hi, love your videos. I'm a Mac user and was really sad about not being able to play this game. Any idea if/when will it be available on for Mac users?
Hey Skye, knew you would be super excited to get TPF2 out on your stream!! There was a terrain wheat colour you just missed it (it was called wheat)
instaBlaster...
This video taught me that horses fart more emissions the older they get
lol, horses were making pollution before cars XD
Imagine blinking and all of a sudden there is this masive company everywhere
Kind of like google and amazon.
One time, I blinked and a company disappeared; it was called Enron.
Welcome to the USA. Also, welcome to getting older.
@@TotoDG they weren't really there.
Inject this series straight into my veins. I need MOAR

To be honest, I still think OpenTTD is one of the best games ever in this genre, but really looking forward to TF2.
Bas Vink agree I do
Got to admit, I like the new modular stations, no more needing to place a cargo and a passenger station in a city with nearby freight production.
I love the way you learn the ins and outs of the game and teach us as you play rather than just playing the game...great job again!
Finally, Transport Fever 2 just explained how the same day repeats forever in Groundhog Day!
16:39 - "we need to crack on", that's what the posh horse said
I can see it now 10 ep in
Skye still on the date Jan 1 1850
fast forward 15-16 years and still only 1850, amazing!
I need that function in Real life.. SO i can pause and actually get some work done :D
Is this a bug or a feature? I'm confused
@@av3stube480 feature, it's to prevent new technologies from forming.

this game should be more popular, it's really good bro!
It's "back" - all new - but i missed it sooooo much!!!!!!!
Yay!!! I can finally settle into some videos of Skye going bonkers.
Happy to get on the transport fever wagon with you again!
So the maintenance level degrades slowly overtime, but it seems to recover FAR faster than it degrades, so what's to stop you from setting the running cost at +50% for a line for 2 cycles and then dipping it back down again? I guess the micromanagement of doing that would be a pain but if you want to minmax - might be worthwhile.

when they say emissions do they mean the CO2 the horses and the carriage driver breathe out? XD
The horses shit
It's the noise pollution of rattling carts :P

how can something so beautiful exist?
